A fabulous night for Peshawar Zalmi both with bat and ball. They have blown the Karachi Kings away, who were desperate for a win. Three loses in a row for Imad and his men now, making it all the more difficult for them to stay in the race to qualify for the playoffs now. Zalmi, on the other hand, moving up to the second place in the table and strengthening their chances of finishing in the top two. A big boost to the NRR as well courtesy that tremendous innings from Hazratullah Zazai.

Chasing only 109 was not going to be difficult for them but the fashion in which Zazai went after the bowling, he made sure they made light work of the chase. Of course, a few hiccups towards the end, but the game was as good as over by then. Ruthless force from the Afghan, powering his way through to the joint fastest fifty in the history of the PSL, coming off just 17 deliveries. 63 off 26 smashing 8 fours and 4 sixes, that was some exhibition and what an incredible performance on your first game ever in the league. A convincing all-round victory for Wahab and co tonight.

With Islamabad having qualified after tonight's result and Zalmi almost sure of going through as well, the race for the top four only gets tighter and Karachi have opened up the possibility of Multan Sultans making it eventually. Multan breaking into the top four as well and it is getting interesting as we get to the business end of the tournament. The PSL action continues and we will back bringing it to you at this very space. Until then, this is Rishab and Prakhar bidding you goodbye. Have a good night!
Wahab Riaz, Captain, Peshawar Zalmi: The way Zazai batted, he took the pressure off. The way he plays, he makes the opposition have no bowling options left. We gave the players the license to go out there and express themselves the way they play. There is no pressure and it is good to give the guys that confidence to go out there and play because you know what they are capable of and on the day they can be destructive for any team. Our middle order is a concern as we have been giving away wickets in quick succession. I think this is where we really have to work hard. The batsmen who are playing have to carry it on otherwise good teams don't let you comeback.
Hazratullah Zazai, Player of the Match, Peshawar Zalmi: When I was selected in the PSL, i was very excited to play for Peshawar Zalmi. I was in good form in the practice and was hitting good shots. The coaches and captain motivated and supported me as well which is why I was in confidence when I entered the ground. Playing fast bowlers is my favorite but I have practiced playing the spinners as well and I was targetting them equally.
With the result of this game, Islamabad United also become the first team to qualify for the play-offs!
Imad Wasim, Captain, Karachi Kings: I think they bowled really well to be very honest. They utilized the conditions, bowled in the right areas. We can't do much about it. They outclassed us in batting and bowling. They utilized the powerplay which we didn't. We lost too many wickets. I think if Zazai would have been out early we would have had them under control. He was the difference today. Nothing to lose now. We have to win both games in order to stay in the tournament and we have to give the best chance to ourselves. We are a bit off. If we think that we can't make it then there is no point in playing. We will try our best and comeback hard!
That's it! Done and dusted as Peshawar Zalmi have trashed Karachi tonight. A convincing and confidence boosting win this, much-needed and they will be very pleased with this all-round performance tonight. Another loss for Karachi and this is not looking good for their chances of making the playoffs now!
11.1 Noor Ahmad to Sherfane Rutherford, FIVE WIDES! Short ball bowled down the leg side. The ball rolls down to fine-leg for a boundary. With this Peshawar Zalmi win by 6 wickets!
This is some tight stuff from Imad Wasim. Coming all little all too late for Karachi now. Excellent over and they are just dragging the inevitable for a little longer now. Just two coming off that over. Zalmi need 5 more to win!

10.1 Imad Wasim to Rovman Powell, no run, good length ball on off-stump, Powell goes back and hits the ball back to the bowler.
Peshawar Zalmi losing some quick wickets in an attempt to wrap this up now. They've got to try and get it done as soon as they can to help their net run-rate. This has been some great bowling from the Karachi spinners. Superb over from Noor Ahmad. Half-way into the chase as Karachi have given their fans something to cheer about!
