That was an exciting finish as it looked like anybody's match till the final ball was bowled. Vanguards sail through just when it mattered and cross the line keeping their calm under pressure. For the larger part of the chase, it looked like Vandals will run away with a win easily until the opposition bowlers kept their belief and picked the wickets when it was needed to turn the match on its head. Vanguards won the match by 4 runs

Vandals had a good start with the bat as Davizi and Grover got them off to a perfect start in the first over but Davizi got out immediately for 7 runs to his name. Divyendra SIngh, who came in next, also got out cheaply giving Vanguards the chance to come back into the game. Sahil Grover and Jahanur Hoque had a good partnership between them as it looked like the pair might take them home from there on. Sahil Grover and Jahanur Hoque got out in quick succession as the former got out for 35 from 19 balls while Hoque scored 22 from 15 balls. That put pressure on the incoming batsmen and shot the required run rate up and made things diffiicult for them. In the end, they fell short by 4 runs.

Neeraj Tyagi and Farooq Abdullah of Vanguards had a good start with the ball to defend the target as both got a wicket each to their name but the middle overs proved a bit expensive as the batsmen took on them. Satyajit Sengupta did a good job as he bowled the decisive final over of the match and helped his team stay alive. Shanmugham Ravi, who bowled during the dying stages of the match, also had a good outing giving just 12 runs in his two overs and picked a wicket as well.

This is the 4th victory for Vanguards as they are equal with Vandals on the points table but the Vandals played a match more so far in the tournament.

That's a not so good over from Ekambaram as he gives away 11 runs off it. Two fours in the over and that brings the required rate down. 18 runs needed from 12 balls.
