VVV won by 36 runs

QUV's misery continues as they fall short of victory in yet another game. VVV were clinical in their performance and deseerved this win. They outplayed their opposition in all three departments and will be very pleased with this outcome.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, VVV's skipper Akram got his side off to a blistering start. He scored a brisk 40 and they got an excellent score in the powerplay. QUV came back well though in the middle overs and kept taking timely wickets. However, a rear-guard effort from Sheik ensured that VVV breached the 130-mark. Murad Jiwa was the pick of the bowlers as he recorded figures of 2-23 from his 2 overs.

Unfortunately for QUV, they never got going with the bat in hand. They got off to a sluggish start and scored just 18 in the powerplay. No one really put their hand up and shouldered responsibility with the bat. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and barring a handy knock from Maninder Singh at the top of the order, there was no real performance of note. Mohsin Abid Ghaznavi was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 2-15 in his 2 overs.
