Player of the match: Ben Stokes
That is all from the action from the last match of the day, as this is Pradeep Somashekar, and my colleague Shashwat Kumar signing off for Sportskeeda. Stay tuned for all the action from the sporting world right here. Stay safe!
Rajasthan Royals won the match by 8 wickets!

Ben Stokes what a player, ever since the heroics of World Cup Finals and the Ashes, he has been expected to deliver stuff and this is what the kind of innings that you expect him to come up with and today it has all been Ben Stokes.

Just before this match, there was all talks about how Stokes hasn't hit a six till now and today he showed how good a player he is, time and again, he pulls off a performance like this and everybody will be in awe of this star. Mumbai had no clue on how to stop him throughout, none of the bowlers looked to hurry onto him or trouble him with bouncers, he kept hitting those shots throughout the innings and scored a breathtaking century to keep the hopes alive for Rajasthan Royals in this years IPL, they have got those 2 crucial points to see themselves in the 6th position with 10 points.

Before we got to all that, Rajasthan Royals had a horrid start to their innings as Stokes lost his partner Uthappa early in the chase and Smith followed sooner before he played a six and a boundary to start off and was looking in good touch but Pattinson got the better off him with an in-swinging delivery for Smith to inside edge on to his stumps.

Samson comes in and took time to get himself in but what a knock he's played, he has been able to construct his innings better than ever, earlier he used to go for the shots that wasn't even in his arc, but today, we all saw a different Sanju Samson who has been sensible, picked up his singles, rotated the strikes and Stokes was doing his job at the other end, taking on the opposition's attack and both stitched a mammoth partnership of 152 runs and finished things in style. Pollard on the other side had no clue on how to stop these two, he made bowling changes that didn't work, Chahar went for runs, Pattinson was taken to cleaners at the end and Boult was unable to repeat his performance from the previous game, there's hardly enough help for the bowlers but don't take any credit away from these two batsman, they've played some brilliant cricket today and Rajasthan Royals live to see another day and they just saved themselves to be in the contention to reach that 4th spot to qualify for the play offs.

Mumbai and Bangalore had an off day today, both the top 3 placed teams have been beaten and they still need to win a game to qualify for the play-offs and they have 3 more games to do so. Rajasthan have too many competitors to get to that 4th spot but doesn't matter, they have to win all and win convincingly to keep ahead in the NRR as well.
Presentation Time!

Ben Stokes has been adjudged the Man of the Match!

Ben Stokes
says he was surprised why it took so much time for him to get into the groove of things in the tournament for the team. He thinks the training he had yesterday was the best throughout the time that he was here. The toughest shot to play was when they dug into the wicket and was happy that both of them played Bumrah with ease.

Steve Smith
says, very pleased with the performance, this is exactly what they were looking for, two out of their experienced players to take it deep. He thinks the wicket has been true today and the ball was coming on nicely. Both the batsman just played good cricket shots that was coming off nicely. They did a lot of things right today, kept taking wickets but the drop catch proved to be costly in the end. Brilliant hitting from Hardik in the end. He thinks the batters take confidence from this game and momentum into their next two games.

Pollard says he thinks Hardik brought them back into this game big time at the end, but credit goes to both the batsman who played out of their skins to pull this one off. The wicket ended up being true throughout and it played into their strengths. This loss doesn't change much to their campaign and they have 3 more games to do. The bowlers tried their best but it just wasn't their day today. Hardik showed why he is one of the best in the business yet again today, tough for him to be on the losing side today.
Ben Stokes, what a player, brings up the century and finishes off with a boundary! What a chase this has been by Royals, they win this with 10 balls left!
18.2 James Pattinson to Ben Stokes, FOUR! STOKES FINISHES IT OFF IN STYLE! Low full toss outside off stump and Stokes just gets down low before nonchalantly caressing it past deep extra cover for another boundary! What a way to end the game!
18.1 James Pattinson to Ben Stokes, SIX! HUNDRED FOR STOKES! WHAT AN INNINGS! WHAT A CRICKETER! Banged into the track on off stump and Stokes just waits for it before absolutely clattering it over mid wicket for a maximum!
Stokes and Samson are dealing with singles in that over, rightly so. They just don't want to leave it till the last over, you never know what happens in there, suddenly few dot balls and the pressure is on the batsman. Might as well finish this with an over to spare.

RR need 10 off 12 balls!
Over: 18 | Summary: 1 0 1 1 1 0 Bowler: Trent Boult Score: 186/2
17.6 Trent Boult to Sanju Samson, short delivery well outside off stump. Samson looks to cut it away but is too early into the stroke as the ball goes through to the keeper
17.5 Trent Boult to Ben Stokes, banged into the track at the batsman on leg stump. Stokes gets into position and pulls it away towards deep backward square leg for a single
17.4 Trent Boult to Sanju Samson, full delivery down the leg side. Samson gets inside the line and clips it towards short fine leg where the fielder does well to get down and save three runs
17.3 Trent Boult to Ben Stokes, bumper on off stump. Stokes gets into an awkward position before flat batting it down the ground towards long on for a single
17.2 Trent Boult to Ben Stokes, yorker outside leg stump and that is a response to Stokes backing away. Stokes looks to punch it past the bowler but can't beat Boult
17.1 Trent Boult to Sanju Samson, full delivery outside off stump. Samson gets onto the front foot and pushes it down the ground towards long off before getting down the other end
Both these batsman negotiated Bumrah with few singles and couple of braces but Stokes takes a chance at the end of the over, flies over the keepers head for a boundary. It's all easy now for Royals, they merely need to nudge around to win this. What an innings from Samson this has turned out to be.

RR need 14 runs off 18 balls!
Over: 17 | Summary: 2 2 1 1 0 4 Bowler: Jasprit Bumrah Score: 182/2
16.6 Jasprit Bumrah to Ben Stokes, FOUR! STREAKY! Short delivery outside off stump and Stokes looks to pummel that one over cow corner. However, he is late on the stroke and the ball takes the top edge before flying over de Kock's head for four
16.5 Jasprit Bumrah to Ben Stokes, banged into the track on middle and leg stump. Stokes shapes to pull initially before bailing out of the shot and swaying out of the way of the ball
16.4 Jasprit Bumrah to Sanju Samson, short delivery outside off stump. Samson jumps up onto his toes and cuts it hard towards the sweeper on the point fence for another single
16.3 Jasprit Bumrah to Ben Stokes, short delivery on middle and leg stump. The ball hurries onto Stokes a touch as he shanks his pull shot towards deep square leg for one
