This is it then as it was a pleasure commentating for the all important game between RPS and KXIP. Please stay tuned for our extensive coverage of the next match between Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore and also the remainder of the Vivo IPL season 10.
So a game which was expected to be a thriller turned out to be a farce as RPS humbled KXIP with a nine-wicket win. Punjab capitulated to finish the season with their lowest ever score in the IPL. For Pune, Shardul Thakur and Jaydev Unadkat shined along with Adam Zampa finished off the innings in a jiffy. They chased it down easily with Ajinkya Rahane playing a sensible knock.
Steve Smith: Everything went as we wanted as the bowlers fared decently. It was right to bowl first because of the stickiness of the wicket. Shardul and Jaydev were brilliant. We have a good balance in our team but Stokes will be a big loss in the playoffs. Hopefully, the others can step up in his absence.
Unadkat: It's been really amazing. We are performing as a unit. After a slow start, the team has upped the ante which helped me personally. I have kept things simple in pressure situations and the seniors have been crucial to the youngsters. This was a complete team effort. I have been working on my fielding which helped today. We will miss Stokes but we will stick to what we know and I think we have the firepower to be dangerous against any side.
Man of the match - Jaydev Unadkat
FBB stylish player of the match - Adam Zampa

And now it's time for the presentation ceremony.
Talking about this humbling defeat, Maxwell said, "We lost the toss and with the wicket being damp, we failed to adjust to the demands of the pitch. These sorts of things happen in t20. We never recovered after the first ball wicket. It happened to Delhi against us and today it was our chance. We can take a lot of positives from this tournament and Axar had a great tournament. Thanks to all our supporters."
Rahane finishes it off in style with a six off the last bowl of the over of Glenn Maxwell. With this win, Pune finishes second in the league table and will face Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 1. As for Punjab, it has been a heartening campaign for the Kings but they faltered at the last hurdle but still, this has been a success story for this exciting side.
It's all over here at the MCA stadium in Pune as the Rising Pune Supergiant scripted an easy nine-wicket win over the Kings XI Punjab.
