What a game of cricket we have witnessed here. The IPL is a gift that keeps on giving, we have had another absolute nail biter of a contest. Both the sides could not be separated in the allotted 20 overs and it went to a super over which RCB edged past them off the very last ball.

Rohit Sharma fell early in the run chase and Suryakumar Yadav followed him as he fell for a duck. Quinton and Kishan stitched a small partnership but QDK perished to Chahal just after the powerplay. Kishan was then accompanied by Hardik Pandya who put on a 39 run partnership as well but Hardik holed out to Negi at deep midwicket off the bowling of Zampa.

The partnership that stole the show though was the Kishan and Pollard one. They got together at a stage when things looked close to impossible for Mumbai. They needed to get 90 off the last 5 overs and that’s when they stepped the foot on the pedal and got going. Kishan fell after reaching within touching distance of the total as he fell for a brilliant 99 falling one short of a ton. Pollard then struck a boundary off the last ball to get the scores even and enter the super over.

Saini was the bowler who was given the responsibility to bowl the super over for RCB and he rose to the occasion. Giving just 7 runs against the likes of Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard. He nailed the yorker and varied his length to perfection.

It was never going to be enough but with Jasprit Bumrah you never know. He nailed the first three balls but got his field wrong with the short ball he attempted as AB top-edged a pull to the fine-leg boundary and it was Kohli who finished things off and earned RCB a special victory.

So that's all from me, Prashanth Satish, and my colleague, Shaswath Kumar, till we meet again. Stay safe everyone and let's hope the IPL gives us more games like this
Virat Kohli: I don't have words right now. It was such a roller-coaster game. I think they played really well and patiently in the middle. It went down to the wire, we tried to execute the things we wanted to. We've got a close victory and these little things on the field, we really want to focus on it. It was all about stepping onto the field and taking responsibility. It was a good match-up against Jasprit. Top-quality cricket and games like these, people would love to watch. The changes that we made, make Washi bowl in the PP paid off. Gurkeerat didn't get a chance to bat. The guys showed good character. Outstanding Super Over from him (Saini). He used the yorkers and wide balls to good effect. This should boost us going forward.
Washington Sundar: I have to do my job and happy to have contributed to this. I just wanted in any way I could for RCB. I was glad I was given this particular role against a team like Mumbai Indians and shows a lot of confidence as well. I think we did an amazing job to restrict them to seven runs. The win really means a lot because we did really well with the bat and we cannot go back to the room losing this match. We couldn't have lost this, really glad that we won this game.
Rohit: It was a great game. We were not in the game at all when we started with the bat. Great innings by Ishan to get us back. Polly was brilliant as usual. Just that we didn't start well, I thought we could have got 200 with the batting we have. With Polly being there, anything can happen, and Ishan can hit it. We had the belief that we could do it. They held their nerves although we put pressure. Kishan was drained out and he was not comfortable for the Super Over. He was not feeling fresh and Hardik is someone we trust hitting the long balls. It's not coming off but we're confident. Seven runs, you have to have luck on your side and get a wicket in the first two balls. And that unfortunate edge over fine leg made it two in two for them
0.6 Jasprit Bumrah to Virat Kohli, FOUR! KOHLI FINISHES IT IN STYLE! Low full toss on off stump and Kohli walks across his stumps before shoveling it away past deep mid wicket for a boundary! What a way to end the game!
Bumrah vs Kohli. 1 run to win off 1 ball.
0.5 Jasprit Bumrah to AB de Villiers, pin-point yorker on middle and leg and AB somehow manages to jam it onto his boot. The ball squirts away towards the off side and the batsmen get across for one
0.4 Jasprit Bumrah to AB de Villiers, FOUR! Banged into the track at the batsman and de Villiers gets a top edge on it that flies over the keeper and bounces away for four into the fine leg region
0.3 Jasprit Bumrah to AB de Villiers, sharp bumper at the batsman on leg stump and the ball seems to follow AB as he looks to back away. The ball hurries onto him and seems to take a bit of the bat on the way to de Kock. The umpire certainly thinks so but AB reviews!

UltraEdge returns with no spike and AB will survive, by the looks of it!
0.2 Jasprit Bumrah to Virat Kohli, banged into the track outside off stump and Kohli swivels on his pull shot extremely well. He nails it off the middle but finds Boult at deep backward square leg. ONly a single. Boult with a top effort on the boundary line.
0.1 Jasprit Bumrah to AB de Villiers, yorker on off stump first up and AB manages to shank it down the ground to long on for a single. Brings Kohli on strike, who has pretty ordinary with the willow earlier in the day. That's Bumrah at his very best, what a terrific ball to start with.
Jasprit Bumrah will bowl the super over for MI, don't think there were any questions about that. Kohli and AB de Villiers stride out for RCB. What a contest we have!
Brilliant from Saini that, held his nerve and executed to near perfection in that over. They have managed to get only 7 runs in that super over.
RCB need 8 to win and remember if the super over is tied we will have another super over. Stay right here as we will be back with the RCB chase.
0.6 Navdeep Saini to Hardik Pandya, SWING AND A MISS! Slower delivery on a length outside off stump. Hardik nearly swings himself off his feet but gets nowhere near the line of the ball. Rohit scampers across a bye though and RCB have 8 to chase!
Rohit has walked into the middle but it will be Hardik on strike for the last ball
0.5 Navdeep Saini to Kieron Pollard, OUT! GURKEERAT FINALLY HOLDS ONTO ONE! Low full toss on middle stump and Pollard absolutely smears that one towards cow corner. Gurkeerat holds his nerve though and completes the catch! Pollard departs!
0.4 Navdeep Saini to Kieron Pollard, FOUR! Another excellent low full toss outside off stump but Pollard somehow manages to hammer that one down the ground past long off for four. Not the greatest of efforts on the fence though. Change in the field as Mann is removed from long-off and captain Kohli replaces him.
0.3 Navdeep Saini to Kieron Pollard, length delivery outside off stump and it is just outside Pollard's reach. He has a huge agricultural heave towards the leg side but sees the ball fizz past the outside edge. Saini absolutely bang on here but he has to finish well.
0.2 Navdeep Saini to Hardik Pandya, low full toss on off stump and Hardik can just drill that one down the ground on the bounce to the fielder at long on. Missed out there!
0.1 Navdeep Saini to Kieron Pollard, yorker outside off stump and Pollard digs that one out to deep point for just a single. What a delivery to start off! Fantastic from Saini, right on the money to start off
