Commentary
That brings an end to our coverage of this exciting ECS contest. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for live commentaries as well as the latest news. This is me, Avik Bose and my colleague, Lavil Saldanha, signing off.
Winning the toss and electing to BAT first, RPCC got off to a great start thanks to their openers. Mehmoor Javed took a while before settling in but his partner Rajmani Singh was on fire from the word GO. Javed departed after scoring 29 from 18 balls while Rajmani continued his fierce hitting all around the park. Harkamal Singh contributed an 8 run cameo at the depth but it was all about Rajmani Singh who remained unbeaten on 101 from 36 balls and took his team to a mammoth total. It was a scintillating display. From the bowling department, Zahid Hussain and Joy Lenin took 2 wickets and 1 wicket respectively. But each of the bowlers went for plenty. RPCC managed 144/3 from their 10 overs.
Chasing 144 was never going to be an easy task, and so it turned out to be. MKCC managed 38/1 from the first 3 powerplay overs and looked very well on course to chase the target down. With 56 runs needed from the last 24 balls, MKCC were on the driving seat for a moment but soon after, the pressure took its toll and wickets started crumbling down in a heap. The batsmen lost their way in the middle and there was no way back from thereon. Ahmad Raja scored 27 off 11 balls while Samarawickrama contributed 20 from 10 balls. Paththuwadura gave hope and scored a quick 25 from 9 balls before getting dismissed. From the bowling department, Jabrar Afzal took 3 wickets while Attiq Ur Rehman took 2. Rajmani Singh and Hardeep Singh also chipped in with 1 wicket each. MKCC fell way short and finished on 121/7 from their 10 overs.

RPCC thus complete a resounding performance and win the match by 23 runs while recording their first victory of the tournament.
