Spain batted first and posted a score of 72 runs for the loss of one wicket. Firstly, Awais Ahmed departed for a duck, which was followed by an unbeaten 44-run knock by Hamza Saleem. He belted half a dozen sixes during his time in the middle. Yasir Ali also contributed a few runs and the bowling side also conceded a handful of extras, which cost them the game. Speaking of Sweden's bowling unit, Khalid Zahid was the lone wicket-taker in the first innings of the game.
In reply, Sweden managed to score only 60 runs for the loss of three wickets. Skipper Rahel Khan scored 20 runs, while Share Ali contributed 16 runs to his team's tally.
