Don't forget to tune in for the live coverage of tomorrow's riveting and jaw-dropping encounter between arch rivals India and Pakistan at Birmingham.

This is Sabyasachi Chowdhury signing off for today. Good night and goog bye.
That's it for today's presentation ceremony as Sri Lanka made a meal of what looked like a brilliant start to the chase. Their bowling was impressive to start with, but ran out of steam as the innings progressed. They did well to restrict South Africa to below 300, but couldn't chase it down. They have their next game against India and the Sri Lankan cricket management have to go back to the drawing board to eke out the flaws and come up with a better show against India in their next game
IMRAN TAHIR IS THE MAN OF THE MATCH FOR HIS STUPENDOUS SPELL OF 8.3-0-27-4
A.B de Villiers- "The pitch wasn't as good as the one in the game between England and Bangladesh. I thought it was possible for them to chase the target down. It's important to assess the conditions down and credit goes to them. Faf played a beautiful knock with Hashim. Hashim is a great team man and hopefully he has many years to go with us. He has contributed a lot for us"

Upul Tharanga- I think we bowled well at the start. Bowlers came back after the Hashim p'ship. Under 300 is good. We couldn't get wickets in the middle overs. Maybe Sandakan can be useful in the next game. We bowled well in the first 10-15 overs, but didn't get wickets. We have to come back against India"
Time for the presentation ceremony
After South Africa set Sri Lanka a target of 300, everyone expected the Proteas to win in a canter. Sri Lanka displayed great spirit to keep themselves in the chase. Niroshan Dickwella and Upul Tharanga matched fire with fire and racked up more than 80 runs in the first ten overs as South Africa was all at sea during that phase.

Things started changing since the dismissal of Dickwella. Upul Tharanga tried his heart out with a gutsy innings of 57 runs from 69 balls, but he hardly got any partner from the other end. Wickets kept falling line nine pins, the required run rate kept escalating and Sri Lanka just couldn't drag themselves out of the slump and was humbled by 96 runs.

With three more matches still to go for Sri Lanka, their boys have to pull up the socks to climb up the ladder in the pool games and hopefully qualify for the semi-finals. South Africa takes top position with a healthy Net Run Rate of 1.92

Something to cheer for the Lankan fans as Kusal Perera slams one down the ground, eluding the mid-off fielder..
