What a win, what a win for Cyprus Eagles. After being put to bat first, they have come out on top and won this tie with 46 runs! Amazing performance by Murali Alanki's side! They have outplayed the Sri Lankan Lions in all three departments of the game. Sri Lankan Lions will have lots to think of for their next game against the same opponent in less than an hour. They might consider reshuffling their batting order.

Chasing 116 was going to be difficult but the Cyprus Eagles' bowlers made things even more difficult for the batsmen. They had the luxury of trying out 8 different bowlers since the victory was assured for them. No batsman got going for Sri Lankan Lions as they never looked like they were in the run chase since the beginning of the innings. The powerplay saw them score only 20 runs and lose the wicket of Mangala Gunasekara. Things got worse for them as Jawad Shah delivered a double-wicket over to completely kick the Lions out of the game.

The last five overs ended up like a warm-up match for the Cyprus Eagles. They ended up trying different bowlers. The batting was a complete disaster for the Lions who did not have anyone going big. Denuwan Prartana played a small little cameo at the end scoring 23 runs off just 11 deliveries. He scored more than 50% of the side's boundaries which speaks a lot about their disastrous performance today.
