St Lucia Zouks 154/10 (19.1 ov)
Trinbago Knight Riders 157/2 (18.1 ov)
Trinbago Knight Riders won by 8 wickets
Player of the match: Lendl Simmons
So, that is it from me, Karthik Raj and my co-commentator, Dwijesh Reddy. Join us for another match pretty soon. Adios.
Lendl Simmons has bagged the 'Player of the Match' award for his unbeaten 84-run knock while Keiron Pollard takes home the 'Player of the Tournament' award for his terrific all-round performances. Pollard has also lead his team superbly.
Jubilation for the home side TKR as they lift their third title. What a dominating performance this has been both in this match and also the entire tournament. Remember that they have won 12 on the bounce which is no mean task in T20 cricket. No side adapted to the pitches like them and they fully deserve this title.

St Lucia Zouks would be really disappointed given the way they started with both bat and ball. The Zouks fell short by 20 or 30 runs when they ended up with just 154 runs and it was always going to be a tough task to limit the dangerous TKR batting line-up. As mentioned before, Zouks did bowl well till the half-way mark with TKR requiring 96 runs off the last ten overs. However some poor rotation of bowlers and inconsistent bowling from the trio of Daren Sammy, Kesrick Williams and Zahir Khan played into Lendl Simmons and Darren Bravo's hands. Darren Bravo, in particular, struggled quite a bit with him being on 23 off 32 balls at the end of the 13th over but he came back into form by smashing Javelle Glenn for a couple of sixes. In the end, it turned out to be a rout for TKR as they sealed an eight-wicket victory with 11 balls to spare.
18.1 Kesrick Williams to Darren Bravo, Trinbago Knight Riders are the CPL 2020 champions! Not how they would have liked to score the winning runs as Bravo edges one past the keeper for a boundary towards the fine-leg boundary and it has been a sensational partnership between Darren Bravo and Lendl Simmons that has won them the final!
Sixteen runs off that Kuggeleijn over. TKR are two runs away from the trophy now.TKR: 153/2. They require 2 off 12 balls.
17.6 Scott Kuggeleijn to Lendl Simmons, FOUR! Simmons is riding his luck here as he gets a delicate outside edge off an attempted drive but so good is his day today that it races away to the third-man boundary for a four!
17.5 Scott Kuggeleijn to Darren Bravo, a full ball on off-stump, Bravo unfurls one of his trademark cover-drives past the short cover fielder for a single
17.4 Scott Kuggeleijn to Lendl Simmons, full ball on the off-stump, Simmons blocks it to the off-side and takes a quick single. Just seven to win now!
17.3 Scott Kuggeleijn to Lendl Simmons, FOUR! Fuller yet again and Simmons has pummeled it over the cover region for another boundary. He looks to be in a hurry!
17.2 Scott Kuggeleijn to Lendl Simmons, a slower ball bowled outside off, beats Simmons for pace who can't get bat on ball!
17.1 Scott Kuggeleijn to Lendl Simmons, THAT IS HUUUGE! A length ball on the stumps and Simmons has smashed it at least twenty rows back over deep midwicket! That should be the final nail in the coffin!
Four massive sixes off that over and the trophy is almost in TKR's hands now. They only require run-a-ball off the last three overs. TKR: 114/2. They require 18 off 18 balls.
16.6 Zahir Khan to Darren Bravo, SIX MORE! FIFTY FOR BRAVO TOO! A full ball on the stumps, Bravo gets down low and slogs it over deep square leg for a mighty six!
16.5 Zahir Khan to Darren Bravo, fuller ball outside off, Bravo digs it out to the bowler as he tries to heave it towards the leg-side and fails
16.4 Zahir Khan to Darren Bravo, SIX! Another full ball and Bravo pummels it over the long-on region for another six! This is turning out to be a brilliant over for TKR!
16.3 Zahir Khan to Lendl Simmons, shorter ball on the body, Simmons pulls it to deep square leg and the batsmen are happy with the single
16.2 Zahir Khan to Lendl Simmons, SIX! Simmons is taking Zahir Khan to the cleaners as he smashes a full ball over the deep midwicket fielder for a much-needed maximum!
16.1 Zahir Khan to Lendl Simmons, FOUR! Short ball from Zahir yet again and Simmons is too good to not pounce on those ones! He rocks back and pulls it behind square for a boundary!
Just four runs as Scott Kuggeleijn continues his excellent work. Suddenly the asking rate is more than ten for the first time. TKR: 114/2. They require 41 off 24 balls.
15.6 Scott Kuggeleijn to Lendl Simmons, a slower short ball bowled outside off, Simmons reaches out an plays it uppishly to backward point and takes only a single, where there was a double.
