That's it from us, Abhishek and Rajarshi, as we sign off somewhat sadly, unable to bring you people much from this game. Hopefully, the next game between the Scarlet Ibis Scorchers and the Steelpan Strikers will be uninterrupted due to the weather, so do switch tabs if you want to follow our coverage for the game. Until next time, from us, it's goodbye!
The Steelpan Strikers will be the ones ruing the fact that they didn't get to play. A win in this game would have given them an opportunity to break into the top 3. With the way they played their previous game, they certainly had momentum going into today's fixtures. To make matters worse, their next game starts in an hour against the Scarlet Ibis Scorchers at the same venue. With the unpredictable nature of the weather at Tarouba today, all they would want is a full game. On the other hand, this result won't be as much of an impact for the Blue Devils, who will be retaining the top spot in the table. Their next opponents are the Cocrico Cavaliers, and the match is set to be played tomorrow.
If your answer to the previous poll was option 1, we offer our congratulations and condolences. The match has been officially called off.
The covers are completely off off the main wicket now.
We have lost one hour of play, so even if the game resumes, we are unlikely to see the full 10 overs per innings.
Okay, some good news! The first layer of covers are being removed off the pitch.
Update: It's not raining as heavily as it was before, but the covers are still in place. It will take a lot of time for all that water on the outfield, which has remained uncovered all along, to drain.
More covers are being brought out. The rain would just not relent. The possibility of further play today is synonymous with the conditions; gloomy, grey, with a negative vibe to it.
Ohh no! The covers have started to come on again. The ball boys rush to the field to cover the pitch and soon, the situation will be same for the outfield as well. It's raining so hard that the cameras can clearly capture the rain. Two covers hiding the wickets, and now another two have been added on top of them.
Some good news for our readers, the covers have started to come off! The match should begin in a short while and hopefully, there should be no loss of overs.
While the players are warming up on the field, the pitch is still covered in the middle. Perhaps a slight drizzle as we await the beginning of play.

For readers interested in making their fantasy team, here is Sportskeeda's opinion regarding the same.
Trinidad's finest continue to entertain us in the shortest format of the game and in Match No 18 of the Trinidad T10 Blast, we have Steelpan Strikers squaring off against Blue Devils at the Brian Lara Stadium. This is your host Abhishek and I will be shortly joined by my colleague Rajarshi. The match will start at 10:00 P.M. IST! For readers interested in reading the preview, scroll below.
Blue Devils occupy the summit position in the table with 8 points from 5 matches, winning five and losing just once. Steelpan Strikers, as of this writing, are on the fourth position in the table with just 6 points from 5 games. They have won thrice and lost twice but have a negative net run rate.
The Blue Devils won their previous encounter against Scarlett Ibis Scorchers by 10 runs, courtesy of their spirited bowling performance. Batting first, they posted 96 runs on the board with the likes of Teshwan Castro and Isaiah Rajah scoring 20+ runs.
On the bowling front, Shaaron Lewis conceded just 3 runs in his spell of 2 overs and scalped two wickets. Rayad Emrit had three wickets to his name, including that of Kieron Pollard.
Crystian Thurton stepped up to bowl the final over with 12 runs to defend. Not only did he restrict the runs, he did so in style by taking two wickets and winning the tie for his side with two balls to spare.
Steelpan Strikers, too, come into this match on the back of a 15 run victory over Scoa King. Evin Lewis starred for them with the bat as he scored a quickfire 53 runs off 19 balls that included six 6's. Imran Khan ensured the Strikers got to a score of 129 with a 21-ball knock off 34 runs.
Bowling wise, the Strikers need to improve a lot as only Imran Khan and Mark Deyal had an economy rate of less than 10 an over. While the former picked up two wickets, the latter had just one to his name.
It should be a contest between the Strikers' batting prowess with that of the Devils' bowling expertise. Don't go anywhere as we will be back with live action soon.
