That's all from this clash between KKR and SRH, join us tomorrow for another double-header day which promises to provide some thrilling action with two knockout clashes set to take place! Until then, Ciao!
So with an important 5-wicket win, the Knight Riders will go into the playoffs with a lot of confidence while on the other hand, the Sunrisers Hyderabad will need to find their footing with three losses on the trot. However, they will not have to fret a lot with two shots at a spot in the finals.
Chris Lynn, Man of the match:

We are building momentum to the end of the tournament, which is good for us. The wicket is on the quicker side in Australia and I needed to adapt to the pitch here . It's easier having Sunil Narine on the other side, we try to rotate singles, keep it nice and simple and it is working for us. It's the business end of the tournament and we have couple of wins, it's nice to have those wins and we will continue to have fun and maintain that style.

Dinesh Karthik, winning captain:

We all (all teams) strive to get to the playoffs, very happy that we have qualified for the playoffs. Our team is settling very well. We are playing good cricket, pulling games back from defeat and showing character. We were pushed to a corner and we have come out well and it's good to see.

Kane Williamson, losing captain:

We surely needed more runs on the board, we were on target for 200 but KKR played well. Our character was good but we need some improvements. I don't think three losses on a trot matter, we need to play with freedom, stick to plans and play fearlessly.

We obviously need to make small adjustments and go into the playoffs. In today's game with the bat we needed to have one more partnership but they bowled well in the death. With the ball, adapting has been a challenge but it's been a strength of ours. We have a lot of positives to take from these losses and need to make adjustments. We have had individual performances, we need to stitch it together.
Rashid Khan and Siddharth Kaul bowled well in tandem but in the end, a mature innings from Robin Uthappa proved too hot for SRH to handle as they fell to their third loss in a row and will hope to re-think their strategies ahead of the playoffs.
Righty-o! The Kolkata Knight Riders win comprehensively by a 5-wicket margin and become the third team to qualify for the playoffs of IPL 2018. While some might call the win a comfortable one, the Knight Riders might have come too close for comfort to take it into the final over but will take the win and the momentum going into the playoffs.

Sunil Narine and Chris Lynn got them off to a terrific start but once Narine fell to Shakib for one shot too many, Uthappa joined forces with the burly Australian and kept the Knight Riders in the hunt. Lynn fell after a well made fifty but skipper Karthik, who promoted himself up the order and Nitish Rana in the end made sure that they crossed the line with two balls to spare.

19.4 Brathwaite to Karthik, 1 run. Kolkata Knight Riders win by 5 wickets! Full toss and Karthik flicks it away to mid on to complete the chase and lead KKR into the playoffs
19.3 Brathwaite to Karthik, no run. Slower delivery which Karthik fails to read, Looks to cut it away but misses
Shubman Gill, right hand bat comes to the crease.
19.2 Brathwaite to Rana, OUT. Oh you're kidding me. Short delivery which Rana looks to pull away over fine leg but he finds Bhuvneshwar at deep fine leg.
19.1 Brathwaite to Rana, FOUR. Full and outside off, Rana scoops it over the infield and to the third man boundary and now KKR need just 1 run to win.
Carlos Brathwaite has been entrusted to bowl the final over.
Good over from the experienced Bhuvneshwar. Only 5 off it and KKR need 5 runs from the final over.
Over 19 KKR: 168/4(RR 8.84) Bowler: B Kumar Sum..: 1 2 . 1 1 .
18.6 B Kumar to Karthik, no run. Full delivery outside off, Karthik fails to get it past backward point
18.5 B Kumar to Rana, 1 run. Length delivery outside off, Lynn lofts it over the infield and straight to the fielder in the deep
KKR now only 6 runs away from a victory
18.4 B Kumar to Karthik, 1 run. Slightly short delivery which stays low, Karthik pulls it away to deep midwicket
18.3 B Kumar to Karthik, no run. Changes up his pace, Karthik swings and misses
18.2 B Kumar to Karthik, 2 runs. Slower delivery on middle, Karthik flicks it away towards cow corner
18.1 B Kumar to Rana, Full on the pads, flicked away by Rana to fine leg
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to bowl the penultimate over.
Eight runs off that over and that's the end of a wonderful spell of bowling from Kaul, 4-0-26-2 are his figures.

KKR now need only 10 runs from 12 balls.
Over 18 KKR: 163/4(RR 9.06) Bowler: S Kaul Sum..: 1 . 4 W wd 1 1
17.6 Kaul to Rana, 1 run. Good yorker which Rana scuffs out to third man
17.5 Kaul to Karthik, 1 run. Slightly slower once again and Karthik knocks it down to deep cover
17.5 Kaul to Karthik, WIDE. Way outside off
Nitish Rana, left hand batsman is at the crease.
17.4 Kaul to Russell, OUT. Knuckle ball this time and Russell looks to smash it over long on but ends up skying it, almost all the way into the stratosphere! Manish Pandey runs in from long on and completes an easy catch and that's the end of the big West Indian. Kaul is absolutely pumped up
