Winning captain Steven Smith says, "Very good win. It was a tough wicket to get going on and the batsmen were struggling to time the ball. We thought 147 was probably below par and 155-160 was good. Yes, we did well to scrap to 147. And the bowlers did incredibly well. He (Unadkat) is doing it nicely. Taking key wickets for and deserves to the hattrick. The three-wicket maiden in the last over was a magnificent effort. We have played well in the last 7-8 matches and I hope we can finish in the top two."

The win puts Rising Pune Supergiants in the second spot of the table. Sunrisers have played 12 and sit in fourth with 13 points. Any team at this stage would love to be around the top-2 spots and RPS are definitely happy with that.
When your batsmen and all-rounders do not perform, you cannot expect the tail to win you a match, can you? You can at least expect them to ward off a hattrick threat. But not to be. It was not meant to be their day. Jaydev Unadkat has a bad start in the second innings but he turned around things in spectacular fashion in his second spell. Perhaps, he bowled a maiden wicket over in the 20th over of the match.
In spite of struggling early on, Yuvraj Singh played a vital role in bringing SRH so close to the target while the rest of their middle order faltered. None of the middle order batsmen managed to get past the single digit scores. Astonishing really! The wicket was believed to be in favor of the batsman but hardly a few players found it easy to bat on.
The match kept on swinging from end to end. The Sunrisers were off to a flabbergasting start but wickets tumbled soon after. Ben Stokes was the man who sent Dhawan and Williamson packing in a span of 3 balls. Warner and Yuvraj added 54 runs for the third wicket but it was not enough.
That's it! It's over! And guess what? Unadkat has bowled a maiden over. Dream over. Although he was bowling to the SRH's tail. Not an ordinary achievement though.
