Sydney Sixers have won this match by 1 wicket and 1 ball to spare!

What an entertaining contest this turned out to be. Coming to chase a huge total of 194 runs, Sixers did not have the best of starts as they lost their opener Jack Edwards in the first over itself. To make things worse, in the 2nd over, James Vince was also sent back into the hit by Nathan Coulter-Nile.

Sixers skipper Hughes lead his side from the front and took on the attack. As Philippe who was struggling at the start, Hughes managed to get the boundaries and the Sixers scoreboard moving. Stars introduced spinners into the attack and Philippe looked reverse sweep Zampa. He just lost his wicket just like that and the trouble continued for Sixers.

Sixers looked good to get the bash point as they needed just 4 runs from 12 balls before reaching the halfway stage. Hughes took on Zampa and collected 17 runs from it to keep his side in the hunt with the chase. Silk looks to pick up the scoring rate from his end and is sent back into the hut.

Daniel Hughes manages to reach his 9th fifty. He was batting alongside Dan Christain who started to hit the boundaries as soon as he got to the crease. As Christain looked good, Sixers took the Power Surge on the 13th over.

Things did not go as per plan unfortunately for them as Dan Christain lost his wicket on 1st ball of the Power Surge. Jason Holder the new batsman did well as he collected the boundaries and made it a decent score from the Surge.

He as well did not last long as he was sent back into the hut Zamapa after he scored a quickfire 18 runs. Hughes continues to the lone man battling for his side. Carlos Brathwaite who joined in hammered a few monstrous hits and scored a quickfire 21 runs.

Sixers needed 20 runs from the final over to pull it off. Glenn Maxwell decided to bring himself on for the final over. Sixers skipper Hughes just pounced on the opportunity as he hammered Maxwell for a couple of sixes and boundaries and turned the match on its head.

Hughes looked to go for the finish and lost his wicket while batting on 96 runs, found the fielder as the equation stood at 4 runs needed from 2. Nathan Coulter-Nile not available to bowl the final over and Glenn unfortunately just failed to defend the 19 as the final runs came of 4 leg-byes for Sixers to steal a win.
Wow-what a chase this turned out to be, Sixers who looked to have struggled through most of the innings have managed to pull off a heist here! Maxwell will surely be wondering what went wrong in that innings!
19.5 Glenn Maxwell to Steve O'Keefe, FOUR! ALL OVER! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! Maxwell cannot believe it!. Sixers have come from nowhere to win this and that man Daniel Hughes who does it for them as Maxwell bowls a full toss that O'Keefe misses and the keeper misses, runs past the short third-man fielder for a boundary.

Agony for Melbourne Stars as Coulter-Nile couldn't take the field and Maxwell had to bowl the last!

X-Factor Gurwinder Sandu is the new batsman to in for Sixers!
19.4 Glenn Maxwell to Daniel Hughes, OUT! CAUGHT! DEAR OH DEAR! This game takes another twist as the captain departs just shy of a hundred. That was full in the slot for Hughes again as he backs away to smoke it over the boundary but holds out at deep square leg and now Sixers are left with 1 wicket and they need 4 runs off 2!
19.3 Glenn Maxwell to Daniel Hughes, SIX MORE! WHAT A GAME OF CRICKET WE'VE HAD SO FAR! That was a full toss on to Hughes who backs away and POWERED it all the way over the deep square leg region where the fielder runs across but he dives over the line and that goes all the way for a maximum. Down to just 4 runs from the 3 balls!!
19.2 Glenn Maxwell to Daniel Hughes, FOUR! Maxwell took the gamble to bring himself on and paying the price. That was full on the pads and Hughes flicks it away and falls just short of the deep square leg fielder who fails to take the catch and also stop the boundary. Down the to 10 runs from 4 balls!
19.1 Glenn Maxwell to Daniel Hughes, SIX! KABOOM! Hughes backs away for a full-length delivery and absolutely PUMMELED it all the way for a maximum down the ground towards long-on. Hughes definitely fancies his chances, 14 runs needed from 5 balls!
Boundaries were needed in the previous for the Sixers to make life easier for themselves. Carlos looks to get one down the ground but manages to get the toe end of the blade and was caught. Sixers now need 20 runs from the last 6 balls! Dwarshuis as well looked to go BIG on the final ball to bring the equation but was clean-bowled!

Glenn Maxwell comes on to bowl the final over!
Over: 19 | Summary: 1 1 W 1lb 0 0 Bowler: Liam Hatcher Score: 174/7
18.6 Liam Hatcher to Ben Dwarshuis, OUT! CASTLED! Full and straight as Ben misses this one where he went for the huge hoick and that rattles his stumps  in the end. Sixers going down here but Hughes is the key here still!
18.5 Liam Hatcher to Ben Dwarshuis, OH! Full toss on the 4th stump line. Ben looks to whack it on the off-side but misses, through to the keeper along the ground
18.4 Liam Hatcher to Daniel Hughes, full delivery on the leg stump line. Hughes moves across and to whack but misses, thuds on the pads in the end, they scamper through for a quick leg-bye!

Ben Dwarshuis is the new batsman in for Sixers!
18.3 Liam Hatcher to Carlos Brathwaite, OUT! CAUGHT! OH MY WORD. This sea-saw battle never ends. That was full in the slot for Brathwaite as he backs away to smoke it out of the ground but doesn't time it very well but Maxwell at long-on holds on to it brilliantly as Brathwaite's cameo comes to an end
18.2 Liam Hatcher to Daniel Hughes, full delivery angled into Hughes into the pads and he whips this one away towards long-leg, the fielder from behind square comes across and keeps it to just a single
18.1 Liam Hatcher to Carlos Brathwaite, around the wicket to start. Full toss outside off. Brathwaite misses out on that and hits it down to long-off region for a single
The tension keeps mounting on in this match, Adam kept it tight in the first half of the over, in the latter half, Hughes manages to get the boundaries when they were needed the most. Sixers now need 23 runs in 12 balls!! The next over is definitely going to be the deciding factor for this game!

Liam Hatcher comes on to bowl the most important over of this match!
