Kennar Lewis has been adjudged the Man of the Match for his blistering innings 49(19) with the bat that powered their team over 150 in the end!

Lewis at the presentation says, we were struggling as a unit in the first half of the tournament, we stuck together as a group and we thought we were going to over the line no matter what and we played our natural game tonight. We came into this game with confidence of getting over the moment and gain some momentum going into the future games.

The Chennai Braves are bowled out on 133. It is the first win for Northern Warriors and The Chennai Braves are still in search of their first win of the season. It is only the fifth time that a team has been bowled out in T10 cricket. An all-around show from the Warriors. Batting first Northern Warriors finished with 152/4. Their innings was the story of brutal hitting. Openers Moeen Ali and Kennar Lewis stitched a 100-run opening partnership. Both the batters made identical scores of 49 from 19 balls before they perished to Mark Deyal in the same over. Rovman Powell made 28 from 12 balls and Samit Patel hit 17 in 9 balls to take the team total beyond 150. The Chennai Braves bowlers were punished for plenty of boundaries all over the park and only Deyal was the standout bowler as he finished with 2/10 from his 2 overs.

The chase was always going to be tough for The Chennai Braves. A couple of 30s in Chennai Braves' innings. Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored 34 off 13 and Ravi Bopara made 30 in just 13 balls. Warriors kept picking wickets and the moment of the match was the hat-trick from Oshane Thomas as he picked the wickets of Mark Deyal, Tion Webster and Curtis Campher off three successive balls.
