Commentary

United have done what they needed to do but the job is not done yet. They need to repeat this performance and pull off a similar win. Can they do so in the game to come? Right then, United have come out with their best cricket in a game where they needed to do so as well. They first batted well to put up a good total on the board and then came out to defend their total with the ball. They picked up early wickets, were miserly in the powerplay and killed the game giving Baneasa no chance to be in the chase whatsoever. Four wickets for Khalil who was the star of the show there.

A 53-run win, much-needed to also boost their net run-rate and this will give them massive confidence as well for it has been a good all-round game for them where they held the upper hand all the way through. Well, they will have to repeat this performance once again as they do need to win the last game as well, and also by a good margin.

Baneasa facing their first defeat of the tournament simply could not get themselves going with the bat and were never really in the chase. Although the result of these games will have effect them, they will want to go in with positive momentum into finals day tomorrow. They will certainly look to come back and finish with a win!
