Commentary

So the Warriors are through to the final and after today's flawless performance, they will fancy their chances tomorrow to go all the way. Spirit on the other hand will contest for the consolation prize in the third-place playoff. The second semi-final will begin at 11:45 AM IST, do not forget to switch tabs for it! This is Raghav Tikmany and Pradeep signing off.

Sindhu Sriharsha (Warriors Women captain): I think we stood up to the occasion really well. Bryce has been outstanding throughout the tournament, this has been an incredible turnaround from the last season. We were spot on with our execution and did not put a foot wrong today. Hoping to get some rest before the big final tomorrow.

Nicola Carey (Spirit Women captain): We certainly weren't looking for a loss today, they were just too good, no partnerships were built but we did make a match out of this in the end. Wicket was a bit tacky, their bowlers bowled well, our bowlers were good too but we just didn't have enough runs to play with. It's been awesome, we've had great two weeks and playing alongside these girls.

Defending a subpar total of 73 was never going to be easy but Spirit did get themselves to a good start. Mahika Gaur exploited the new ball by dismissing Hayley Matthews and Ellie Johnston early. The Warriors were forced to play her out and approach the run chase in a circumspect manner. The runs were not enough on the board but wickets from Patel and Dunkley gave some hope to Spirit. Once Litchfield was gone, it looked like that the match was going down the wire.

Kathryn Bryce and du Preez ensured that the Warriors reach home safely. They dealt in singles and doubles to get close to the target and launch one final blow after taking on Nensi. Dunkley bagged a couple of scalps towards the end but enough damage was done by then.

13.1 Nattaya Boochatham to Mignon du Preez, THAT'S IT! Warriors Women are into the finals of this season. Length delivery on the leg-stump. du Preez whips it to mid-on and takes a quick single to seal the game and Warriors are finally home after losing couple of quick wickets.

The Warriors have lost two quick wickets as the batters have attempted some reckless shots in order to finish things off in style. Still not much to worry about, they are only delaying the inevitable.
