Babar Azam Pakistan Skipper: It was a change in the bounce that surprised our batters as they were unable to adjust, Rizwan did well to bat through and if anyone would have probably hung around with him, we could have had a better score posted on the board.
Mohammad Rizwan Player of the Match: The pitch did play its part as it is different compared to the South African pitch and the discussion that I had alongside the skipper Babar was that if one of us got themselves in has to play the long hall and that's what I did. The ball does come a bit slower onto the bat on the pitches of Zimbabwe.
Sean Williams Zimbabwe Skipper: Definitely it was a getable total, we also dropped too many catches in the field, and I felt that we let them get too many runs towards the end. 130 runs would have been great. Wickets losing in the cluster was the issue yes, the two guys who batted really well. We just lacked the second partnership. I think over bowling did well and it's inexcusable that we lost this match as it was ours to win. It is now going back to the drawing board and stick to the basics
Tinashe Kamunhukamwe: Yea that said we did not manage to get over the ropes, our bowlers did well but over batters let us down. I think we did not execute the plans in the final over, the score was getable but more onus was on the batting side as it was a chaseable total. Going into the next game, we should avoid losing wickets in clusters. As there are young guys in the team we should also look at running between the wickets, taking the ones and twos are crucial.
Luke scoring unbeaten 30 runs tried his best to get Zimbabwe across the line but too much was needed to be done towards the end. Rizwan's 20 runs from the final over while batting for Pakistan proved to a game-changing moment in the end.
Haris bowling the 18th over was tonked for a couple of boundaries at the start but did well to pull things back and got the wicket of Ryan as well towards the end. Pakistan bowlers continued to execute their plan in the death over and continued to be on top.
Ryan was the last hope for Zimbabwe if they need to get across the line all of a sudden in the death over. As the pressure was building up, Luke and Ryan the much-needed boundaries and kept the hopes alive for their side in this match-up.
The wheels started to fall off Zimbabwe's run-chase as they lost their skipper Sean lost his wicket in trying to slog the balls to the boundary ropes and following him was Regis who was caught LBW in front of the stumps. The equation was still getable but the wickets column became a problem for Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwean batter's habit to lose wickets in cluster continued as Craig in the following over post-Tinashe's dismissal played a reckless shot in trying to reverse sweep and lost his wicket batting on 34 runs. This created an opening for Pakistan.
Tinashe and Craig continued to build on as they stitched together a 50 runs partnership and showed no signs of stopping. It was all smooth sailing until Tinashe decides to play a needless shot as he came down the track and lost his wicket batting on 29 runs.
The partnership was building stronger as they took the calculated risk against Pakistan's spin attack. The duo loosened up and found started to take on the attack with more confidence. At the halfway stage Zimbabwe looked on track with the run-chase.
Marumani the debutant followed Wesley to the dugout as he tried to go for the slog the first ball he faced and lost his wicket. Pakistan introduced a spinner into the attack from one end. Zimbabwe batters Craig and Tinashe were watchful and found the boundaries from time to time.
Coming into chase 150 runs, Zimbabwe had a good start at the top as their opener Tinashe and Wesley were looking good as they found the boundary early on in the powerplay overs.  Wesley's show, unfortunately, came to a close early as he tried to take on the bowler and hit one shot too many.
What a brilliant comeback this has been for Pakistan who looked out of the game for almost the first half of this innings. Zimbabwe's problem continued as they once lost wickets in a cluster providing an opening to Pakistan who were just too good to miss out on it.
