1 - 3
R. Krishna 40'
7' Crivellaro
39' A. Schembri
90'+4' N. Valskis
Here is your host Abhishek Kundu saying good-bye. Do stay tuned to Sportskeeda to get the latest ISL and Indian Football news.
PEEP! PEEP! PEEP! That's it! There is the final whistle and it has finished 3-1 in favour of Chennaiyin FC here at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. With that win, Chennaiyin FC move to the fifth spot and are just a point behind Mumbai City FC who have played one game extra. This loss might just slip ATK out of the league leaders race as FC Goa just need a draw in their last fixture against Jamshedpur FC to book their AFC Champions League spot.
90+4' GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL! That is the final nail in the coffin. Nerijus Valskis scores the third goal for Chennaiyin FC.

ATK commits all the men forward and loses the ball to Anirudh Thapa. The Indian international punts a long ball towards Nerijus Valskis and the Lithuanian finds it easy to trap the ball as no ATK player tracks back. To make things easier for him, Arindam comes off his line and is nowhere near Valskis or the ball. Valskis lobs the ball above him from the halfway mark to score his 13th goal of the season and levels the terms with Roy Krishna.
90+2' And, David Williams picks up a needless yellow card for a completely off the ball challenge on Rafael Crivellaro. This is just playing in the hands of Chennaiyin FC. More time for them to wind down.
90+1' Chennaiyin FC win a free-kick at the edge of the box after Mandi Sosa pulls Dragos Firtulescu down and stops his cantering run down the right flank.
90' Four Minutes have been added on.
89' How did ATK's Victor Mongil miss that? The Spaniard takes the honours of 'Miss of the Season' from Chhangte earlier. That is total miscommunication between Chennaiyin's goalkeeper and Lucian Goian and the Mongil has an empty gaping goal in front of him. The Spaniard chips it high and fails to keep it on target.
88' Chennaiyin FC make their second change.

OFF- Edwin Vanspaul
ON- Deepak Tangri
87' SHOT! Lallianzuala Chhangte is through in the left wing but pulls the ball back for Edwin Vanspaul rather than taking a shot himself. But, the Chennaiyin FC's midfielder's effort is wide.
86' PENALTY? Chennaiyin's Chhangte goes down inside the penalty box after he dribbles past one challenge. But, the referee thinks he is playacting and doesn't award the penalty to him.
85' GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-OFFSIDE! That was a lovely finish by ATK's Roy Krishna but the assistant raises the flag. The assistant referee deserves an award tonight. Roy Krishna was marginally offside but the referee got that spot on after the Fijian connected a swinging cross and slammed the ball into the back of the net.
81' CHANCE! Chennaiyin's substitute Dragos is looking ever so threatening. The Romanian gives a wonderful pass to Nerijus Valskis but the Lithuanian's back-heel attempt doesn't trouble ATK goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya at all.
79' Chennaiyin FC make a grave error by making a hash of a back-pass and Roy Krishna pounces on it. But, his cross to David Williams isn't well-received by the Aussie international and Chennaiyin FC breath a collective sigh of relief.
77' SHOT! Chennaiyin FC break again on the counter. The ball is at the feet of Lallianzuala Chhangte but the winger stops rather than galloping down the right flank. He passes the ball to Rafael Crivellaro but his outside the box shot is off target.
75' CHANCE! Dragos Firtulescu runs from his own penalty box to the other end with a wavy effort and gives the final cross to Lalliazuala Chhangte. However, the Chennaiyin FC winger's effort is wayward.
74' SHOT! Michale Soosairaj beats his marker again and pulls the ball back for Mandi Sosa Pena. Out of sheer frustration, the Spaniard takes a long-ranger and the ball balloons out of play.
73' ATK make their third and final change of the game.

OFF- Jayesh Rane
ON- Michael Regin
72' SHOT! That was almost 2-2 for ATK again. Edu Garcia takes a shot from distance and it takes an uncanny deflection from Lucian Goian. Vishal Kaith is completely wrong-footed but is lucky enough to escape without conceding a goal as the ball rolls out for a corner-kick, which is well-dealt by the Chennaiyin FC defenders.
71' CHANCE! Anirudh Thapa swings a corner-kick towards the near post and ATK custodian Arindam fists is away. However, it only falls as far as Eli Sabia whose chested effort is inches wide.
68' Chennaiyin FC make their first change. A like-for-like change as we see tired legs in the pitch.

OFF- Andre Schembri
ON- Dragos Firtulescu
67' CHANCE! Prabir Das drives a lovely ball from the right flank but Goian gets just enough in it to ensure ATK's top scorer Roy Krishna doesn't get his foot to the ball first. Vishal Kaith collects the ball later.
64' ATK's Edu Garcia makes a mazy run from his own half before releasing the ball to David Williams in the left-wing. The Aussie tries to find Roy Krishna with his final pass but the Chennaiyin FC back-four and Anirudh Thapa tidies it up and clear the danger.
60' Edwin Vanspaul takes a shot from the distance but the Chennaiyin FC midfielder's attempt kisses the sky.
59' Chennaiyin FC look threatening on the counter and Rafael Crivellaro tries to find Nerijus Valskis. But, Victor Mongil puts his body on the line and makes sure the Lithuanian doesn't reach to the ball first.
57' CHANCE! Jayesh Rane makes a forward pass to Roy Krishna and the Fijian lays it off with a through ball his body turned against the goal. But, before ATK's David Williams can get to the end of it and take a shot, Vishal Kaith comes off his line to collect the ball.
56' Rafael Crivellaro takes an ambitious effort from the far side of the pitch but Arindam huffs and puffs to get a hand to the ball before collecting it later.
52' CHANCE! Michael Soosairaj dribbles past two players and gives the ball to Edu Garcia. The ATK forward takes a shot from distance seeing a host of bodies ahead of him. But, the blue shirts in front of him ensure there is no danger whatsoever.
48' MISS! Crivellaro aims for the top corner but ATK's custodian Arindam gets a hand to it. But, the rebound falls to Chennaiyin FC's winger Lallianzuala Chhangte who was completely unmarked. The Indian international controls the ball with one touch and takes a shot at the empty gaping net with the other. But, it is inches wide. That has got to be the 'Miss of the Season!'
47' OFFSIDE! And, the substitute David Williams falls in the offside trap here. The Aussie failed to track back after the Chennaiyin FC back-four came up a yard to play a high line.
46' PEEP! ATK has made one change to their side.

OFF- Javi Hernandez
ON- David Williams
PEEP! PEEP! There is the half-time whistle by the referee. And, it has ended 2-1 in favour of Chennaiyin FC. Rafael Crivellaro put the away side in lead with a nonchalant strike after the entire ATK defense didn't bother to check his run and close him down. Andre Schembri doubled the lead for the Marina Machans after connecting a corner-kick. But, the joy was short-lived as ATK's Roy Krishna pulled one goal back within a minute with the build-up requiring only four passes. What a pulsating half of ISL action we had here. Don't go anywhere as we will be back with the second half action live from Kolkata here in Sportskeeda.
45+3' SHOT! That was almost 2-2 in the first half time. ATK punt a long ball and Vishal Kaith comes off his line trying to get to the ball first. But, the Chennaiyin FC custodian fails to do so and Roy Krishna takes a shot at goal at an empty net. However, the angle was too tight for the Fijian as the ball ends up being inches wide. And, that should be it for this half.
45+2' Two dangerous crosses from the byline by Prabir Das but Chennaiyin FC clear the danger both the times. In the first instance, Edwin Vanspaul makes a brave challenge coming across to clear the ball at the death. And, for the second instant, Vishal Kaith makes himself big to collect the ball before any ATK player can get to it.
45+1' SHOT! Crivellaro flicks a long ball with his head towards the left flank and Chhangte gets there first. The Chennaiyin FC winger dashes past his marker and takes a shot but it ends up squaring across the face of goal.
45' Three Minutes have been added on.
43' And, now Anirudh Thapa after the Indian international makes a mistimed challenge.
42' Javi Hernandez goes in the book for a high boot on Nerijus Valskis. He will miss the next match as a result of that.
40' GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL! Well, ATK has pulled one goal back through Roy Krishna. Man, there is plenty of goals in this competition.

That goal required just four passes and has to be the quickest goal from the restart in the history of ISL. A long ball is punted from the centre circle by Javi Hernandez and the Fijian toe-pokes the ball past the Chennaiyin FC custodian Vishal Kaith. That is all fault of Lucian Goian as the Romanian didn't make any challenge for that ball. And, with that goal Roy Krishna leads the Golden Boot race.
39' GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL! Andre Schembri doubles the lead for Chennaiyin FC.

Anirudh Thapa takes a looping corner kick and none of the ATK defenders attempts to rise and clear the ball. Arindam misses it completely and Schembri, who was lurking at the far post, pokes the ball with his head to double the lead for the away side.
37' CHANCE! ATK have their second meaningful chance in the game. Prabir Das cuts back and drives a pass to Edu Garcia. The Spaniard flicks the shot from inside the six-yard box but it rebounds off the sideboard before bulging the outside of the net. The referee had raised his flag nonetheless. That was a tight but good call.
35' Chennaiyin FC's leading goalscorer tries to do something similar to what Ogbeche did last night but his shot slams the ball.
34' Rafael Crivellaro has a similar run from which he scored a goal but this time Mandi Sosa Pena is on his shadows and makes a sliding tackle from behind. He was nowhere near the ball and the referee books him.
32' SHOT! It is total domination by Chennaiyin FC here in the first half so far. With no one closing him down, Edwin Vanspaul takes a shot from distance and it is on target. But, ATK custodian Arindam Bhattacharya thumps it away for a corner-kick, which is cleared well by the home side's defenders.
31' Oh my God, that would have been 2-0 for Chennaiyin FC out of nowhere.

Sumit Rathi heads the ball behind but it is not straight at the hands of Arindam. The ATK custodian has to claw back and grabs the ball just before the ball rolls the goal-line.
30' PENALTY? No, the referee is not interested in this either. It looked as if Chennaiyin's Eli Sabia won the ball fair and square. Soosairaj runs down the left flank with his bursting pace and drives a low ball but Javi's fall doesn't have enough conviction.
29' OFFSIDE! ATK try to break on the counter after Anirudh Thapa takes a very poor free-kick. Jayesh Rane fails to track back appropriately and he is adjudged offside at the halfway line. That was very close.
26' Jerry Lalrinzuala fouls Jayesh Rane and ATK have a free-kick at the other half. Javi Hernandez curls a ball but it is too deep and Chennaiyin FC goalkeeper Vishal Kaith collects the looping ball.
25' SHOT! Anirudh Thapa swings a corner-kick at the near post and Eli Sabia has a free header. However, his effort is inches wide. That was another threatening move from Chennaiyin FC. ATK's defense has been totally off-colour so far in the game.
24' ATK make an early change in this game.

OFF- Anas Edathodika
ON- Michael Soosairaj
22' Anas Edathodika has hyperextended his knee and is down receiving treatment. Looks like he will be out from this game as well for the remainder of the tournament.
21' CHANCE! ATK lobs a long ball and Goian's mistimed interception means Roy Krishna finds the ball in his feet. The Fijian turns and tries to go past Eli Sabia but can't make space for himself. Instead, he passes the ball to Sumit Rathi and the 18-year-old from the penalty spot takes a tepid shot which is collected comfortably by the Chennaiyin FC goalkeeper Vishal Kaith.
19' Valskis has a go at goal from the edge of the box but it is inches high.
17' GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA- OFFSIDE! Anirudh Thapa crosses the ball towards the near post and Eli Sabia towers above his marker to divert the ball at the far post. Schembri was lurking at a hand-shaking distance from the goal and flicks it past the ATK goalkeeper. However, the assistant referee raises the flag as the Maltese didn't track back his run. ATK's defense is in sixes and sevens here in Kolkata.
16' Corner for Chennaiyin! Crivellaro puts the ball through for Chhangte after a mishit free-kick and the youngster tries to put the ball in the center of the box but Mandi Sosa Pena gets his foot just in time and clears the ball for a corner.
13' HANDBALL? No, the referee doesn't heed to the protests for a penalty shout. Valskis takes a shot but it ends up clattering the arm of Anas. However, that was not an unnatural position. The Indian international put his hand behind his back. That is a good decision by the referee as it was unintentional.
11' SHOT! Prabir Das drives a brilliant inswinging cross towards the centre. Roy Krishna squeezes between Eli Sabia and Lucian Goian to head the ball but his effort ends up being inches wide.
9' SHOT! That was almost 2-0 for Chennaiyin FC. Chhangte cuts through the left flank after getting the better of Prabir Das. The youngster takes a shot but the ball rebounds off Arindam's foot before the ATK defenders clear the ball.
7' GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL! Rafael Crivellaro gives Chennaiyin FC the lead.

Eli Sabia wins the ball from Roy Krishna's feet and gives it to the Brazilian. No one marks him sensing that he would pass. As a result, Crivellaro runs freely through the centre the entire half and then strokes the ball past Arindam who too was caught off-guarded.

That is nothing but poor defending from ATK. They were so busy marking Schembri, Chhangte, and Valskis that no one thought of checking the run of the man who has the ball.
5' ATK and Chennaiyin, both of them, have failed to make any meaningful penetration so far in the game. Looks like both the teams have got their homework right.
National Anthem done, hands shaken, and greetings exchanged. We should be back with kick-off at any moment from now.
