...
Well, that concludes another Lionel Messi show. The Argentine combined excellently with Paulinho to rip apart Eibar into shreds.

Eibar goalkeeper Mitrovic put in a heroic performance and if it was not for him, the score could easily have been in double digits.

Lionel Messi still managed to score 4 goals, to make it 9 goals in 5 La Liga games. He is in some form.

Barcelona maintain their near-perfect start to the season with yet another win, a comprehensive one this time and the signs are positive for the Blaugrana faithful.
...
90+2' FULL-TIME: Barcelona 6-1 Eibar
...
90' 2 minutes of stoppage time.
...
90' Eibar are just not in the luck tonight. Enrich with a header from the edge of the box which rattles the crossbar before being cleared.
...
Sergi Roberto has the ball near the center circle, he passes it to Messi to his right, the 30-year-old drives forward with the ball before fooling a couple of defenders with the drop of his shoulders, he then threads it through to Vidal on the right, who cuts the ball back immediately and Messi just guides it across the goal into the top corner to score his 4th goal of the game. Mitrovic has been sensational but there is no stopping Messi in this kind of form.
...
88' GOOOOAAAALLLLL!!! There is no stopping Lionel Messi tonight! He has got his 4th goal of the night!
...
86' Pena rattles the crossbar. He has been lively ever coming on and he collects a ball inside the box and lets a right-footed strike fly which beats Ter Stegen before cannoning off the inside of the crossbar and out.
...
84' Eibar are trying their best to find a way past the Barcelona defence but have so far failed with their attempts. Long range attempts are a thing.
...
81' Messi stands over it and tries to curl it over the top of the wall before dipping it, but he makes an unwarranted connection with it and the ball sails into the stands. He is disappointed with himself.
...
80' Yellow Card: Galvez is booked for a foul on Sergi Roberto, Barcelona have a free-kick in a dangerous position. However, the Eibar man is booked for what he does after the foul, as he lifts the ball up before sending it into the crowd.
...
80' Junca brings down Semedo with a barge from the front and Barcelona have a free-kick.
...
79' Vidal and Semedo combine down the right, with the former using his pace to get behind the away team's defence, but he is unable to cut the ball back in time and Eibar have a goal kick.
...
77' Substitution: Christian Rivera is thrown on by the away side to take the place of Dani Garcia.
...
74' Substitution: Aleix Vidal comes on in place of Gerard Deulofeu.
...
72' Paulinho and Messi are combining better than Neymar and Messi ever did. Okay, that may have been over the top but you get it. The Brazilian finds the Argentine with a through ball and the 5-time Ballon d'Or winner cut in from the right before beating two Eibar players, but he is robbed off the ball and denied us the opportunity to witness some magic.
...
71' Lucas Digne with a great chance as Gerard Pique - YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT - played a through ball to the Frenchman, who connected with his left foot but once again Dmitrovic was there to bail his side out.
...
70' Paulinho goes close but Dmitrovic is there to deny him. Semedo drives forward with the ball before laying it off for Deulofeu down the right, the Croatian tries to cut it back into the path of Paulinho, who gets a touch but his shot is deflected behind.
...
68' Dmitrovic has been so good and if not for him, this could have been 8 or 9. The goalkeeper rushes out of his blocks as he spots Messi put the ball on a platter for Deulofeu with the silkiest of touches but the goalkeeper is there to clear.
...
Barcelona are cruising here, they have hit another gear in this half and Eibar's desperation to throw men forward has helped them too. This could get ugly real soon.
...
65' Substitution: Ivan Rakitic comes on to replace Sergio Busquets.
Iniesta has also been withdrawn and has been replaced by Sergi Roberto.
...
Messi and Paulinho combine as Barcelona hit Eibar on the counter. The Argentine is under pressure from three defenders but he gets his right foot behind it to lift the ball past an onrushing Dmitrovic to complete his hat-trick.
...
62' GOOAAAALLLL!!! THIS IS ONE INSANE MATCH!!! Lionel Messi with his hat-trick, the Argentine is in red-hot form. Paulinho has been immense too.
...
Messi receives the ball just outside the box and he takes a touch before getting his left foot behind the ball and guided it behind Dmitrovic as the Argentine was tumbling. The goalkeeper was left rooted to his spot as he watches the ball nestle into the back of the net.
...
59' GOOOAAAAALLL!!!! THIS IS END TO END STUFF! MESSI scores his second of the game as he calmly slots the ball into the bottom corner to restore Barcelona's 3-goal lead.
...
Eibar bomb forward and Junca spots Enrich darting forward and curls a beautiful cross into the path of the forward, who gets a proper connection and guides it past Ter Stegen to pull one back.
...
57' GOOOOAAAALLLL!! Game Over, not yet. Eibar pull one back! Sergi Enrich scores!!!
...
56' Deulofeu just doesn't look to be in the groove tonight. The Spaniard is released down the right and he flies down, he has the option to cut it back for Messi, but his pass is a very poor one and straight at the defender.
...
Iniesta with a simple pass to Paulinho, who pulls off an excellent dummy to let the ball go through to Messi, the Argentine bears down on goal with intent, he tries to trick his way out of two defenders before attempting a curled finish from the edge of the box but Dmitrovic makes a good save but only parries it into the path of Denis Suarez, who takes a second before thumping it past the keeper at the near post.
...
53' GOOAAAALLLLLLL!!!!! Denis Suarez scores! 2 in 2 for the Spaniard!
...
52' Mascherano with a Hollywood pass to Deulofeu, which the Spaniard brings down and lays it off for Paulinho. The Brazilian has Messi to his left and Deulofeu to his right, he opts to go right and the Spaniard loses it.
...
49' WOW! How did Deulofeu mess up that chance! Barcelona had a golden golden chance to make it 3 and Deulofeu has been caught napping.
Iniesta spots his run and pings a ball over the top of the defence, the Spaniard is through on goal with Messi free to his right but as he looks up he sees the 6-foot plus frame of Dmitrovic, who had rushed some 15 yards from his box to tackle to Spaniard and deny Barcelona a golden chance.
...
48' Iniesta loses the ball but Paulinho wins it back and threads it to Deulofeu, the Spaniard bursts forward but his touch is heavy at a crucial stage and Eibar are able to clear.
...
46' And we are underway in the second half. Eibar get us started.
...
The players are out on the field as we prepare for the restart. Will we see a comeback from Eibar? Will Barcelona reign supreme?
We will have to wait and find out.
...
Our friends at Opta have a crazy stat for us.

Paulinho has scored two goals for Barcelona with his first two shots on target (all competitions). Impact.
...
We will be back with the second half shortly.
...
Eibar have themselves to blame, they have played well but have been punished for stupid mistakes. The game is not over by any stretch and Barcelona will be hoping to get a third early on after the restart.
...
Barcelona have a comfortable 2-goal lead at half-time but things weren't all that comfortable for the home side tonight. The Blaugrana have struggled to get into the groove but still find themselves two goals up, courtesy of Lionel Messi's penalty and Paulinho's thumping header.
