That's all from the live coverage of another historic Champions League night from Celtic Park. Bye!

...

A Lionel Messi brace ensured that Barcelona qualify from Group C as group leaders with one game still left to play (after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Borussia Moenchengladbach).

Brendan Rodgers' side had no answers to the questions that Messi was asking but to be fair to them with the Argentine in that kind of form it is difficult, neigh impossible, to contain him.

...

And the referee blows the whistle. It's full time here at Celtic Park and it was Lionel Messi who ran the show for Barcelona and was easily head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch. The Argentine missed Saturday's game against Malaga due to a stomach bug but returned to the starting line-up and 'Messi'merized the entire 60,000+ in attendance and the millions watching worldwide.

...

90+2' Dembele goes down on the edge of the box but the referee waves play on.

The 20-year-old cut in from the left flank and Marlon challenged him for the ball. Dembele slipped as he tried to control the ball and he the referee makes an excellent decision.

...

FULL-TIME: Celtic 0 - 2 Barcelona

...

90' 4 minutes added on

...

88' Yellow Card: Ivan Rakitic

And now it is Rakitic. The Croatian midfielder tugs on to the shirt of Forrest and is booked by the referee. The booking means Rakitic will be unavailable for Barcelona's last league game of the UEFA Champions League.

...

87' Yellow Card: Stuart Armstrong

Cards and tackles are flying here in Glasgow. It is Armstrong now who brings down Messi out of sheer frustration.

...

Stat Attack: Lionel Messi has now scored 100 goals for FC Barcelona in International competitions.
UEFA Champions League: 92
Club World Cup: 5
European Super Cup: 3

...

83' Suarez hits the POST!

It is that man MESSI again. He jinx past the challenge of Celtic defenders and makes his way into the box. He loses control of the ball briefly but is able to recover and he could have gone for his hattrick. But Messi being Messi, he picks out Suarez with a square pass and the Uruguayan can only crash his effort against the post.

...

79' The game has slowed down considerably with Barcelona happy to retain possession and probe forward occasionally while Celtic are being overrun here at their home.

...

77' Substitution: Neymar is finally withdrawn by Luis Enrique with Arda Turan coming on to replace him. The packed Celtic Park make the Brazilian feel the brunt as they boo him but he trudges off ever so nonchalantly.

...

75' Celtic are tightening the screws on Barcelona but is a 2-goal deficit too big for them to overturn?

...

Stat Attack: Lionel Messi has scored 9 goals from 10 shots on target in this season's Champions League.

...

72' Substitution: Marlon Santos da Silva comes on to replace Gerard Pique

It is the first-team debut of the Barcelona B player.

...

72' Substitution: Patrick Roberts comes on to replace Callum McGregor

...

71' Yellow Card: Neymar and Lustig are booked for their mini-clash.

...

70' Neymar and Lustig clash once again after the Brazilian barged into the back of the Celtic man. This time the referee is not letting things go and books the duo.

...

66' Messi almost makes it 3 as his right-footed shot fizzles past the near post.

...

64' Substitution: FC Barcelona make their first change of the night with Lucas Digne coming on to replace Alba.

...

62' Yellow Card: Sergi Roberto

The Barcelona full-back is booked for a foul on Forrest near the penalty box down the left-hand side. A good position to do some real damage to Barca.

Izaguierre floats in a cross and Pique and Dembele both go for the ball and it is the latter who gets on the end of the ball but sends it over.

...

63' Substitution: Nir Bitton comes on to replace Tom Rogic

...

61' Things are getting heated in the middle as Neymar and Lustig clash out wide. However, calmer heads prevails and the action is back underway.

...

Sergi Roberto sends a slide rule pass to Suarez, who is brought down inside the box by Izaguirre who tugs on to every bit that he can catch of the Barcelona striker. The referee didn't give the Penalty initially but after help from his assistant behind the goal he has no doubt in pointing to the spot.

Messi steps up and buries one down the middle to double Barcelona's lead. That's his 5th goal against Celtic in two matches this season.

...

56' GOAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! Leo Messi scores his second of the night.....

...

55' PENALTY to BARCELONA!

...

53' Ter Stegen Saves!

Substitute Forrest and Dembele combine excellently to trouble Barca. It is Dembele who finds his teammate with a header and he runs down the left flank before releasing an inch-perfect through ball for the 20-year-old who makes solid connection with the header but it is saved by Ter Stegen.

...

47' Messi latches onto a poor ball from a Celtic defender near the halfway line and goes on a mazy run but his jinxing run was stopped and Celtic survive.

...

SUBSTITUTION: James Forrest comes on to replace Scott Sinclair, who received a blow towards the end of the first half.

...

Lionel Messi has been the difference so far in the first half and the 5-time Ballon d'Or winner looks to be in the mood tonight. Barcelona look to be in control but a one-goal lead is never enough in football. The second half promises to be an exciting one, do stay tuned.

...

46' SECOND HALF: And we are underway in the second half and Celtic win a free-kick in the Barcelona half. But they fail to test Ter Stegen from it.

...

And it is Lionel Messi, who else. Alba threads through a pass to Neymar who floats in a perfect ball for Messi and the Argentine makes no mistake, burying home the chance on the half volley past a diving Gordon.

...

45+1' HALFTIME: Celtic 0 - 1 FC Barcelona

And the referee blows for the break. It has all been Barcelona in the first half and unless something spectacular happens in the second half, it looks unlikely that Brendan Rodgers' charges will be able to cause an upset tonight. But but but..... Stranger things have happened.........!

...

Sinclair looked to have tweaked something after that challenge from Alba and needed some medical attention. He had to stroll off the pitch for that and Celtic have to continue with 10-men. However, he is soon able to join his teammates.

...

Stat Attack: It took Pep Guardiola 157 games to breach the 400 goal mark as manager of Barcelona, Luis Enrique has managed that in 141 games only.

...

42' Yellow Card: Jordi Alba

Celtic break following the insane stop by Gordon and it is Alba who slides in cynically on Sinclair to bring the former Manchester City man down. The referee shows him the second yellow card of the game.

...

41' Gordon denies Barcelona a second

It was that man again. Messi, courtesy of some fancy footwork, marauds down the right wing and floats a perfect cross in the middle of the Celtic box. Suarez makes sweet connection with the ball but his header - from point blank range - is saved excellently by Gordon.

...

39' Celtic need some sort of inspiration, some sort of magic if they are to end their 7-match winless streak. But going by the proceedings of the night, it doesn't seem that likely.

...

36' Ter Stegen denies Celtic

Dembele, who has scored three of Celtic's four goals in this season's Champions League, is released down the left and he turns and takes a couple of steps before unleashing a rasping drive which Ter Stegen could only parry but to the delight of Barca no Celtic player was at hand to bury the chance.

...

34' Messi wins the ball back at the edge of the box and passes it to Neymar who tries a fancy through ball to Suarez but the duo do not seem to be on the same wavelength and a chance goes begging.
