Liverpool come off victorious in a thoroughly entertaining game at Stamford Bridge. Lovren and Henderson put the visitors 2-0 up in the first half before Diego Costa pulled one back for the hosts. Some solid defending combined with the awful performance of some Chelsea players made it easy for Liverpool to walk away with the 3 points. They now move up to 4th place but can come down to 8th if the teams below them manage to win over the weekend.

Liverpool were off to a brilliant start at Stamford Bridge tonight with a wave of attacks right from kick off. The shots kept on coming in only for Courtois to push them all away. Chelsea managed to have their first shot on target only in the 21st minute and with the Liverpool defenders being rock solid at the back, it made it even more difficult for Hazard and Willian to find ways through. The deadlock was finally broken by Lovern thanks to some awful man marking by Chelsea in the box. He and 3 others were left unmarked as a Coutinho cross came in and the Liverpool center back slotted home with ease. Henderson then stunned the home crowd with an absolute stunner from 25 yards out. There are literally no words to describe that goal. An absolute beauty.

Chelsea woke up in the 2nd half and tried their best to come back into the game. Finally, a magical run by Matic got the Liverpool defense off guard and he managed to set it up for an easy finish for Diego Costa. The game opened up from then and it looked like it could go either way but brilliant defending from the Liverpool players ensured that the Anfield club left Stamford Bridge with all 3 points.
