1 - 3
Eli Sabiá 90'+5'
12' Edu Bedia
53' Coro
80' M. Fall
So, at the end of what became a sombre night in Chennai, Sergio Lobera and his men will go home with the three points, and having given their opponents plenty to think about. Chennaiyin have a break now, with the internationals coming up, and that will be much-needed time to introspect. That's it from us for tonight though. Do join us tomorrow, as head 350km from Chennai to the Garden City, where Bengaluru FC host Jamshedpur FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium. Until then, this is Aaditya Narayan, hoping all of you will have a good Saturday night. Goodbye!
90+6' PEEEEEEEPPP! Goa win 3-1

For the first time under John Gregory, Chennaiyin have lost two games in a row.

Edu Bedia gave Goa the lead in the 12th minute, with a beautifully worked goal. Goa deserved their half-time lead having been much the better side. They came roaring out of the traps in the second half, and soon had a second goal from Coro (who else?). Mourtada Fall put the exclamation mark on the win with a fabulous looping header.

Eli Sabia's injury time header gave Chennaiyin a consolation goal, but that was really as good as it got on the night. Chennaiyin have got problems in both final thirds. Mailson and Sabia don't seem to have settled as a partnership yet.

But the biggest concern for Gregory will be the form of Jeje Lalpekhlua. Once again, he was largely a peripheral figure. He didn't miss any chances today, but the number of touches he had can be counted with both hands. Salom and Orlandi showed signs of promise when they came on, so Chennaiyin might have found something for themselves there.

But Goa won't care, they came, they saw, they conquered. With a fabulous display of attacking football, they have dispatched Chennaiyin and continued their good run in one of their favourite ISL venues.
90+6' Bedia drives at the heart of the Chennaiyin defense, and finds Mandar in acres of space on the left flank. He takes a shot, but hits it well above Karanjit's goal
90+5' GOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLL! Eli Sabia with a consolation for Chennaiyin

That is a perfect delivery from the corner by Orlandi and Eli Sabia has towered up above Fall and powered a header past Nawaz, who has no chance.
90+5' More good play from Chennaiyin, as Raphael pings one out wide to Jerry. The young full-back finds Orlandi and his cross is put behind by Fall.
90+3' Chennaiyin almost have a consolation! It's Isaac this time. He receives that ball on the edge of the box, and unleashes a curling shot towards the right corner of the goal. Nawaz doesn't bother to even dive, as the shot goes just wide.
90+2' Oh Manvir, what a chance! Pena busts a gut to get to a pass towards him on the left flank. He then puts in a beautiful cross to find Manvir in the box. He is held up by Jerry, and the ball gets stuck underneath his feet. He manages to get a shot away finally, but Jerry blocks that too.
90+1' Orlandi takes a free-kick towards the far post, and Nawaz comes out and does brilliantly to paw it away.
90+1' We have six minutes of additional time here, and the Marina Arena is emptying fast.
89' Oh that's marginal! Mandar is running behind the Chennaiyin defense and straight at Karanjit after getting on the end of a perfect pass from Bedia. But the linesman's flag stop him.
87' Goa make their final change of the day, and their main man Coro goes.

ON - Miguel Palanca
OFF - Ferran Corominas
86' Salom will take this Chennaiyin free-kick. That is brilliantly struck and heading straight into the net, until Nawaz's intervention, as he just tips it over the bar.
84' What do we have here? Nawaz has come out of his box, and has absolutely clattered into Isaac. The goalkeeper has come out of it the worse, and the referee is waiting for him to get back on his feet before brandishing a card. What colour will it be? It's only yellow.
83' Second change of the day for Goa, as Jacki goes off after putting in a hell of a shift physically.

ON - Manvir Singh
OFF - Jackichand Singh
82' Chennaiyin have made their final change, as Andrea Orlandi comes on for them

ON - Andrea Orlandi
OFF - Gregory Nelson
80' GOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLL! It's a first ISL goal for Mourtada Fall!

Goa are making a statement here!
Bedia's corner is a little too far for anyone and it falls to Jahouh. His cross into the box is towards Coro, who flicks it on towards the six-yard box and towards Fall, whose looping header is perfect to get past Karanjit. Coro might have been offside though when receiving Jahouh's cross though.
79' Chennaiyin are being allowed to have a lot more possession now now as Goa's press isn't that intense anymore. The hosts aren't making the most of possession though as they aren't finding their men in the final third.
75' Goa make their first change of the day, as Carlos Pena comes on to shore things up at the back.

ON - Carlos Pena
OFF - Hugo Boumous
73' The corner is taken by Isaac, and Mailson's header back across goal, is met by a spectacular overhead kick from Sabia, but he doesn't get the contact he would've so desired to get on it.
73' Thapa wins a ball back from Jacki in midfield, and sets Nelson on his way in the middle. He cuts on to his left and takes a shot. It hits fall, and goes out for a Chennaiyin corner.
70' Now Boumous goes down, after just missing getting on the end of a through ball from Bedia. He's down with cramp, and Goa finally put the ball out so he can receive treatment.
68' Double change for Chennaiyin as Jeje goes off, after another awful performance

ON - Isaac Vanmalsawma
OFF - Jeje Lalpekhlua
68' Chennaiyin make their first change of the day, as Calderon goes off.

ON - Carlos Salom
OFF - Inigo Calderon
67' How has Raphael missed that one? That is a lovely flick-on from Jeje from Calderon's throw-in, and from ten yards out, all Raphael has to do is guide it on target, and Nawaz wouldn't have had a chance. But instead he tries to guide it too precisely, and skies it. Chennaiyin should have had their lifeline there.
67' Nelson's free-kick is cleared by Fall, only as far as Raphael on the edge of the box. His shot is charged down by Lenny.
66' Now Seriton does not get away, and Chennaiyin have a free-kick. Jerry has played beautiful ball to Nelson, and the Goa full-back has gone to ground, and given his side some defending to do from a dead-ball.
64' Seriton has got away with that one. Jerry has pushed it past him, and the Goa man has put his body in the way and collided with Jerry. He's already on a yellow, and that might well be a lucky break for Goa.
62' Shock, horror! Edu Bedia is down again. Why, I don't know, nobody on the pitch knows. It's just so predictable now, and it's getting embarrassing.
60' That is a beautiful ball from Bedia out to Jacki. He tries to slip Coro through, but doesn't hit his pass well enough, and that is easily dealt with by Sabia.
58' Goa are now comfortable in possession. This game suits them now, and they can get at Chennaiyin after drawing them out of position with their passing and movement of the ball.
56' Raphael is booked. He fouls Bedia on the left flank. Then throws the ball down in frustration. That is an easy decision for the ref.

That is a Goa throw-in from where it's come. Jerry doesn't track Boumous's run, and the Moroccan is away, his cross into the box should also be dealt with, but neither Mailson nor Sabia are switched on. Coro is switched on though, and he's come in at the back-post and smashed it past Karanjit.
51' Nawaz playing with fire! He looks to play it out of the back, and Lenny comes to receive it. Thapa is on him straightaway, but his tackle-cum-shot goes wide of the Goa goal. Nawaz gets away with it.
50' More reason for Chennaiyin to be incensed with the ref. Jerry and Bouomous are both at it, and at each other. The young left-back is penalised when it could just as easily have gone the other way.
48' Nelson takes on a few Goa defenders on. Gets the ball outside the box and runs into the box. Jahouh shuts the door on him and Nelson goes down. Referee isn't giving him a penalty for that and rightfully so.
48' Goa haven't really been able to keep possession well enough at the start of this half. Chennaiyin do seem a little frantic themselves as well.
46' PEEEEEPPP!! Off we go, as Goa get us back underway, as they look for their 4th win in 6 attempts in Chennai.
The Chennaiyin fans are holding aloft a Basque flag with the face of Inigo Calderon on it. They do say they live in a Calde Wonderland.
45+4' PEEEEPP! That's half-time, and it's 1-0 to FC Goa

We've heard of a game of two halves, this was a half of two halves. Chennaiyin were on the ropes right from the start, and Goa were dominant for the first 20-25 minutes. They made their dominance count with a goal from Edu Bedia as well.

But Chennaiyin grew into the game, as the half went on and had several half-chances. They haven't tested Nawaz anywhere near enough just yet, but they showed plenty of encouraging signs towards the end of the half. Jeje is still a concern, as he had just 4 touches of the ball in that half. Four.

The referee will be heaving a sigh of relief at having a fifteen-minute breather because that match was threatening to get out of hand.

I'm relieved at my fifteen-minute breather too, and I'm off for a cold one before the second half begins. We'll be back in a bit.
45+4' The free-kick is played short to Raphael, and as he looks to dribble past Seriton, he runs it out of play
45+4' Chennaiyin now have a free-kick, as Seriton fouls Nelson with an awful challenge. Free-kick on the left wing for Chennaiyin. Seriton is booked.
45+3' Thankfully for the referee and for Chennaiyin, the corner comes to nothing as Jahouh skies his shot after the clearance is made.
45+3' Jerry tries to shepherd the ball out of play, and Bedia looks to have fouled him. But the ball goes out of play, and the referee gives the Gaurs a corner. Chennaiyin are further outraged.
45+2' Another decision goes against Chennaiyin, as Goa have a throw. It should have been a Chennaiyin throw. The referee isn't helping himself here, and John Gregory is incensed!
45+1' There's another player down, this time it's Coro. It's getting a little steamy out in Chennai and everyone is agitated.
45+1' We go into three added minutes here in Chennai
44; Another stoppage now, as Edu Bedia is on the floor. He got caught by Germanpreet after he played the ball, and he's just down down. There is very little in that, and the Spaniard staying down for so long is embarrassing. There surely is absolutely nothing in that.
41' Wonderful play from Nelson! Much better from Chennaiyin. Jacki dwells on it a little too long, and Raphael easily shrugs him off it. He plays it early to Nelson in a central area. He drags it onto his left foot and smashes one towards Nawaz's goal. It goes just wide, only inches in that, and Goa survive.
39' Unlucky Raphael! Fabulous play from Calderon, and he keeps going on the right flank. His shot is deflected into the path of Raphael who looks to curl one past Nawaz. But Fall is in the way with his face and Chennaiyin have a corner.
38' Mailson is forced into evasive action, after more good play from Goa. Jahouh pings a perfect pass out to Mandar on the left flank. He doesn't rely on any niceties, and puts in the cross straight away. It's low and into a good area, but Mailson lunges and clears away for a Goa throw-in.
36' Nawaz finally has a save to make, and he makes it! Francis Fernandes finds the ball on the right flank, after a great ball through to him by Raphael. Calderon's run on the outside is a decoy and Francis cuts in to get a shot away, but it is straight at Nawaz.
35' A neat spell of Goa possession, ends with Mandar horribly over-hitting his cross. That has done Goa a little bit of good though, as they've managed to stem Chennaiyin's flow, at least for a little while.
33' The roles have reversed in the last few minutes, as Goa seem to be a lot more flustered in possession, and Chennaiyin look a lot more comfortable and are posing a considerable threat to the Goa defense, even if they haven't tested Nawaz yet.
32' That is the clearest chance Chennaiyin have had thus far! Brilliant play from Nelson on the left wing, as he gets past Seriton and finds Thapa on the edge of the box. He looks to curl it into the top right corner but that has eventually gone well over the goal.
31' That is a contentious moment. Chennaiyin want a penalty, as Sana and Thapa come together. The Chennaiyin man has dived, but the referee is not getting fooled by that. Thapa is lucky to not see yellow for that.
30' The camera has panned over to the owners' box in Chennai, where there are glum looks on the faces of Abhishek Bachchan and Vita Dani. Their side's performance thus far has given good reason for them to be glum.
28' Nelson swings in a free-kick, but Calderon has clattered into Jahouh and Goa have a free-kick, which enables them to release the pressure that was built on them.
28' Jahouh goes into the referee's book, and he has gone ballistic at the referee. That was a clear foul from the Moroccan on Raphael. He can have no complaints. Chennaiyin have a free-kick which Nelson will take.
27' That is woeful from Nelson, who has not had a start to remember. Sabia plays a neat pass into the final third, but Fall is there to clear. His clearance falls straight to Thapa, who plays Nelson through on the right flank. He beats Mandar easily, but his left-footed shot dribbles away for a goal-kick.
25' Raphael finally springs to life, in his own half. He spins on the ball to leave two Goa players wondering what happened. He then plays a lovely pass between the lines to Jerry, but Fall is out quickly to snuff out any danger.
24' Boumous strikes it, but it smashes Mailson in the Chennaiyin wall, and Goa have a throw-in.
24' Back to the Goa free-kick now, Boumous and Bedia stand over it.
23' Mailson and Boumous are both yellow-carded for a tiff off the ball. Their heads made contact, and the referee has laid down the law.
22' Eli Sabia has given it away to Lenny with a dreadful pass from his own area. Lenny has set himself up for a shot and is brought down by Germanpreet, and that is a cynical foul. Should have been yellow, but this referee has been a little happy to have the cards in his pocket, thus far.
20' "Let's go Chennai, let's go," scream the Chennaiyin faithful. They might be referring to their team needing to go and get hold of the ball here.
19' Nelson and Francis have switched flanks, and the Dutchman has just been pounded by Jahouh with a punishing challenge. That is a bad tackle, and the Moroccan is lucky to not go into the referee's book.
16' The first quarter of an hour is what you'd show anyone as vintage Sergio Lobera style football. They've been so comfortable in possession, and have done it at pace. Chennaiyin have not had an answer to that, just yet.
14' Chennaiyin hit back with a corner of their own. Nelson takes it, and the Goa defense scrambles to get it away, but only as far as Francis on the edge of the box. His cross-field pass towards Nelson is inch-perfect, but his first touch is awful, and Goa are let off the hook.

Lenny does ever so well to get to the by-line, and his cut-back towards Coro must be cleared by Thapa, but he kicks the air as he tries to clear it. It falls straight to Edu Bedia and he can slot it easily into the bottom right corner. Goa have a deserved lead.
11' The short corner played by Goa is an absolute waste. Fall will not be happy at his aerial prowess not being used there.
10' Goa pile more pressure on Chennaiyin as they force another corner. Boumous charges at the Chennaiyin defense, and plays it through to find Seriton's run. But Sabia is in the way and Goa can restart from the dead ball
9' The corner is played straight to Jahouh on the edge of the box, but he shins his volley and it is easily cleared away by the Chennaiyin defense.
8' Ooohh, what a ball from Jahouh over the top! He finds Coro who has made a run in behind, but the Spaniard's first touch makes it easy for Mailson to come in and thump it away for a corner. The Chennaiyin skipper is absolutely livid at the assistant for not raising his flag.
6' Brilliant touch, turn and pass from Coro to slip Boumous away on the left flank. Him and Mandar play it between themselves to create space for themselves, and finally Boumous finds Jacki in the area, but his ball towards Coro is smashed clear by Thapa.
5' Gregory screams out to his players to calm things down. Chennaiyin have been far too frantic in possession, and have given it away to Goa far too easily.
5' Boumous looks for an elaborate through-ball to play Mandar through on the left wing, but Calderon is there to put it out to touch
4' Goa have the majority of the possession in the early exchanges. As expected, Mandar has started at left-back, with Boumous slotting in on the right flank and Jacki on the left.
2' Goa hold on to it for long enough, but their final killer ball is lacking. Bedia looks to slip Coro through, but Eli Sabia is there to snuff out the danger easily
1' Mailson launches it up-field towards the left wing and Nelson. But he can't keep his header in play. Goa have a throw, and a first opportunity to impose their possession style on Chennaiyin
1' PEEEEEEPPPP! Off we go, as Raphael gets the first touch of the ball
Mandar wins the toss, and switches the teams around. Chennaiyin will get us underway in their first home game of the season.
The anthem has been sung, the team shake hands, and now Mailson and Mandar will line up alongside the referee Rowan Arumugam for the toss and the exchange of pennants.
It's time for Jana Gana Mana in Chennai.
Goa have won three times on their four visits to Chennai. They will look to have another happy outing down south.
The B Stand Blues are in full voice here in Chennai. "Gregory's Blue Army," they roar. Chennaiyin are all set as they line up in the tunnel alongside Goa. Mailson and Mandar lead the respective queues
We're just a little bit away from kickoff, and the Chennaiyin FC fans are ready. There is a group of traveling Goa fans as well - the Gaur Army has made its presence felt in Chennai. Are you ready?
Abhishek Bachchan has taken over the announcer's role, as he always does, to announce Chennaiyin's starting XI to the crowd at the Nehru Stadium. "Welcome back your champions," screams Junior Bachchan. Chennai roars back in approval.
We're about half an hour away from kickoff in Chennai. The fans have filled the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in anticipation once again. The manager Gregory yesterday spoke of having to win for the fans who traveled to watch them lose to Bengaluru last weekend. Gregory demands a response, Chennai wants a response, the players are raring to go, to give them a response.
John Gregory has had a number on Sergio Lobera, ever since Goa ran riot in the first half in Chennai last year, in what was both teams' first game of ISL 2017-18. Goa were 3-0 up at half-time. Since then, in three-and-a-half games of football, Chennaiyin have scored seven goals, and conceded just one. Lobera will be looking to get one back on his English counterpart, and that will make for compelling viewing tonight.
The Goa change is the intriguing one. Edu Bedia, a central midfielder, has come in to replace Carlos Pena, who played at left-back in the last game. There was word from the Goa camp that Mandar Rao Desai had been playing as a full-back during their pre-season, and it looks like Lobera has thrown him in the deep end already.
Chennaiyin's side is on expected lines, as Thapa comes in to make his first start of the season. He'll partner Germanpreet in the centre of the park, allowing Raphael to move further up the pitch and do what he does best.

Chennaiyin FC:
Karanjit Singh, Inigo Calderon, Mailson Alves, Eli Sabia, Jerry Lalrinzuala, Germanpreet Singh, Anirudh Thapa, Raphael Augusto, Francis Fernandes, Jeje Lalpekhlua, Gregory Nelson

Substitutes: Sanjiban Ghosh, Laldinliana Renthlei, Tondonba Singh, Thoi Sing, Isaac Vanmalsawma, Andrea Orlandi, Carlos Salom

FC Goa: Mohammad Nawaz, Seriton Fernandes, Mourtada Fall, Chinglensana Singh, Mandar Rao Desai, Edu Bedia, Ahmed Jahouh, Lenny Rodrigues, Hugo Boumous, Jackichand Singh, Ferran Corominas

Substitutes: Laxmikant Kattimani, Carlos Pena, Mohammed Ali, Nirmal Chettri, Miguel Palanca, Manvir Singh, Liston Colaco

Both teams make one change each.
Anirudh Thapa replaces Isaac Vanmalsawma for Chennnaiyin, while Edu Bedia comes in to replace Carlos Pena for FC Goa
Will Anirudh Thapa get his first start of the season? Does Sergio Lobera see a need to change his goalkeeper or any of his back four? Could John Gregory hand Laldinliana Renthlei an ISL debut to make way for a foreigner in attack? All questions that we'll have answers to, in about ten minutes.
Half an hour to go for team news from Chennai. Looking forward to what must be a splendid game of football between two sides that have seen a fair share of each other - they played each other four times last season.
Less than two hours to go for kick-off in Chennai. Welcome to Sportskeeda's coverage of ISL 2018-19. Two teams looking to get their first win of the season go face to face at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium today. I'm Aaditya Narayan, and I will be taking you through this game, as Chennai welcomes it champions back home.

Chennaiyin FC v FC Goa Preview

Chennaiyin FC and FC Goa face off tonight at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai, with both sides looking for their first win of the season. Both sides had away trips for their opening games, where Chennaiyin lost 1-0 to Bengaluru FC and Goa drew 2-2 against NorthEast United FC.

There were positives for both sides from their opening games though, with both arguably being the better side in their respective matches. The concerns for both sides lie in opposite ends of the pitch, with Chennaiyin failing to convert some glaring opportunities to score, and Goa's familiar frailty at the back coming to the fore again.

Chennaiyin coach John Gregory said there was nothing to be worried about the performance in their opening game, with the Englishman putting his weight behind Jeje Lalpekhlua, who missed two sitters in the last game. Chennaiyin don't really have any reason to change their line-up, and neither do their opposition, for whom their hitman Coro was firing on all cylinders. The Spaniard hit a brace in Guwahati, to just carry on from where he left off last season. We could just see Anirudh Thapa get his first start of the season for Chennaiyin though, after he came off the bench in their opening game.

Mourtada Fall and Sana Singh need to give more protection to the Goa goal, where 18-year-old Mohammad Nawaz gifted NorthEast an easy goal with a novice error.
