94' PEEEEEEEEP! PEEEEEEEEEEP! PEEEEEEP! And, that's it! It's finished 0-0 here and with that Jamshedpur FC's dreams of making it through to the playoffs ends. Nine draws just sums up the entire season of Jamshedpur FC. The top four is now secure. Bengaluru FC, Northeast United FC, FC Goa, and Mumbai City FC will fight it out in the semis. This is Abhishek Kundu signing off. Do log in to Sportskeeda to get the latest ISL, I-League, and Indian football news.
93' Wait, Jamshedpur FC have a corner here. It looks like Mobashir's shot clipped off the legs of Anirudh Thapa before sailing over. But, Calvo's cross can't even clear the first man. The long throw from Tiri is also of no avail as the referee blows his final whistle.
93' Speculative effort from Mobashir Rahman and that should be the final kick in the game. Anirudh Thapa has been awarded the 'Hero of the Match'
91' Chennaiyin FC make their final change.

OFF- Mohammed Rafi
ON- Jeje Lalpekhlua
90' 3 Minutes added on here. And, will it be the final three minutes for Jamshedpur here in ISL?
89' Good decision from the assistant. Cesar Ferrando is furious but the replays confirm that the assistant was spot on. Soosairaj failed to time the run.
88' GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAA-OFFSIDE! Soosairaj bulges the back of the net but the assistant raises the flag.
87' PENALTY DENIED? Jamshedpur FC claiming for a handball from a free kick. But, Thoi Singh breaks on the counter but brought down by Karan Amin. The replays confirm it hit the thigh of Eli Sabia. No penalty. Good decision.
86' And, Jamshedpur FC win another free-kick in a dangerous position. Calvo is again to take the set-piece there.
84' MISS! Soosairaj curls in a dangerous ball but Mario Arques fails to angle his header from the penalty spot.
83' SAVE! Carlos Calvo's set-piece is collected by Karanjit. Another chance goes begging for Jamshedpur FC.
82' FOUL! Dinliana brings down Soosairaj in the left flank. Accidental but foul. Dangerous position but can they get anything.
79' CHANCE! In five or six passes, the defense has turned into attack and Isaac whips in a lovely cross for Germanpreet. But, his header is wayward.
78' Jamshedpur FC win a free kick in a dangerous position as Germanpreet Singh brings down Cido. Calvo bends it brilliantly but danger averted and the break on the counter.
75' Jamshedpur FC make a double change. But, is it too late?

OFF- Memo
OFF- Jerry Mawhmingthanga

ON- Pablo Morgado
ON- Mobashir Rahman
73' Chennaiyin FC make their second substitution.

OFF- Christian Herd
ON- Germanpreet Singh
72' PENALTY DENIED? No chested below by Dhanachandra. Eli Sabia gets on the end of the second ball after a whipping cross but Dhana chests it down and later cleared away.
70' Jamshedpur FC showing no signs of urgency despite knowing that they need nothing less than win to stay alive in the competition. Looks like they are playing for a draw here. 20 minutes and you are out in that case.
68' Yellow card shown here for Christian Herd as he swivels Cidoncha who was trying to break on the counter.
67' COLLECTION! Soosairaj with a dangerous cross but Karanjit collects it.
65' Chennaiyin FC make their first chance!

OFF- CK Vineeth
ON- Thoi Singh
64' Yellow card shown here as Dhanachandra Singh elbows down Anirudh Thapa.
63' Augustin Fernandes is down with a cramp here and Jeje pulls his muscle.
61' Soosairaj comes in for Farukh Chaudhary here as Jamshedpur FC make their first substitution.

OFF- Farukh Chaudhary
ON- Michael Soosairaj
60' CHANCE! Jeje picks up a pass from CK Vineeth but Dhana closes him down and the ball is collected comfortably by Karanjit.
58' SHOT! End to end action here. Cido collects a long pass from Memo and cuts in the right flank to take shot from just inside the box. But, it is collected comfortably by Karanjit.
57' SHOT! Thapa with a lovely pass towards Jeje but he can't deliver the killer blow. Subrata Pal punches the ball and cleared away by Augustin later on.
51' PENALTY DENIED? Man, that was a clear cut penalty. It's bizarre that the assistant referee failed to see it as he was clear on sight. Isaac, who was the first man, just put his hand above to deny the cross being let inward from the free kick.
50' Jamshedpur FC have won a foul in a dangerous position as Eli Sabia brings down Cido. The free kick fails to even clear the first man.
48' Cido with a wasteful lobbing cross from the center of the park. It was 3 vs. 3 in the counter but Jamshedpur FC have wasted the opportunity.
45' PEEP! After a 45 minutes minutes which both the sides would like to forget, we are underway here again at the Marina Arena. Remember, Jamshedpur FC need to pick up all the three points if they want to stay alive in the race to the playoffs.
46' Laldinliana Renthlei goes into the book for taking down Mario Arques. And, with that the first half ends 0-0.
45' SHOT! Anirudh Thapa's set-piece delivery is perfect for Christian Herd but he fails to angle his shot and the Jamshedpur FC have a goal kick. One minute added on.
44' FOUL! Dhana knocks down Dinliana and Chennaiyin FC have a free-kick fom a dangerous position.
42' Anirudh Thapa with a lovely one-two and gives it later to CK Vineeth in the left flank. His cross is little too much for Isaac who fails to prevent it from going out of play.
40' FOUL! The referee thinks Cido brought down Christian Herd but the Aussie was trying to bring him down and went down trying. Poor refereeing.
38' SAVE! Isaac keeps his shot on target from just outside the box but it is an easy collection from Subrata.
36' SHOT! Man, the tempo has suddenly upped here. Tiri with a first time clearance from Isaac but the rebounds falls for Augusto whose shot from just outside the box balloons over the crossbar.
35' SAVE! Karanjit fumbles initially with a save but he collected it brilliantly later on. Farukh Chaudhary is being closed down and he gives it backwards for Cido. His shot is on target but Karanjit's positioning ensures the ball doesn't bulge the back of the net.
31' SAVE! What a save from Karanjit! That was a point blank save. A contender for the save of the season. Cido with a deadly curling delivery from the left flank and Mario Arques nods it downward from a hand-shaking distance. But, Karanjit dives full stretch to parry away the danger.
30' Raphael Augusto with a brilliant pass towards CK Vineeth but he passes it backwards and Memo wins the ball after a Chennaiyin FC player to tried to nutmeg him.
28' Both the sides have done their homework as the defenders are standing tall in each and every occasion here. Very dull game for the viewers to watch.
26' WASTE! Calvo with a wasteful cross from the left flank. Cesar Ferrando is furious and the commentators are apologizing for his cursing as he spews some rather distasteful words in Spanish.
24' FOUL! Christian Herd pulls down Memo in the center of the park.
21' SHOT! And, we have the first shot and it is on target. CK Vineeth takes a shot from just inside the box after going past Augustin but it is straight in the hands of Subrata Pal. A week shot rather.
20' We are 20 minutes underway here at the Marina Arena in Chennai and neither of the goalkeepers have been tested here. No shots on and off target.
19' TACKLE! CK Vineeth shimmies past a sliding Augustin but Karan Amin his body down and wins the ball.
15' CORNER! Jamshedpur FC win a corner after Dinliana clears Dhana's cross from the left flank. But, the corner is way too deep from Carlos Calvo.
13' CLEARANCE! Isaac crosses the ball from the left wing but Tiri clears the ball. Chennaiyin FC are targetting the left flank as Karan Amin is having a tough time in the right back position there.
11' CORNER! Chennaiyin FC have the first corner after Karan Amin clears the ball from Jeje's feet. The corner comes to nothing as the defender clears the ball towards the far post.
10' FOUL! Karan Amin pulls down the shirt of Jeje and Chennaiyin FC now have a free-kick in the dangerous area but Jamshedpur defenders clear the danger.
9' FOUL! Cido pulls down Anirudh Thapa and Chennaiyin FC have a free-kick in their own defensive half.
7' CLEARANCE! Anirudh Thapa with a lovely backheel to CK Vinneth and Chennaiyin FC cross the ball in the attacking third through Jeje. But, the duo of Tiri and Augustin Fernandes clear the danger.
3' BLOCK! Eli Sabia clears a deadly through ball meant for young Jerry. Jamshedpur FC have a throw-in.
1' KICKOFF! We are underway herE at the Marina Arena as Jeje Lalpekhlua gets the ball rolling in Match 84 for Chennaiyin FC.
National Anthems done.
Hands shaken.
Playing eleven exchanged.
Photographs taken.

We are minutes away from kickoff!
The teams are out of the tunnel here at the Marina Arena in Chennai. Chennaiyin FC are wearing their home blue colors whereas Jamshedpur FC are donning their traditional red colors.
Chennaiyin FC would play in a 4-1-4-1 formation. Eli Sabia and Mailson Alves will be guarding the center whereas Laldinliana Renthlei and Tondonba Singh would be marauding down the right and left flanks respectively as full backs. 2015 Asian Cup winner Christian Herd would act as a screen in front of the defense whereas the quartet of Isaac Vanmalsawma, Anirudh Thapa, Raphael Augusto, and CK Vineeth would try to gain the leverage in the midfield. The Mizo Sniper, Jeje Lalpekhlua, would be the lone man up front and would be raring to score his second goal in the 2018-19 season of Hero ISL.
Jamshedpur FC would play in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Dhanachandra Singh will be guarding the left flank and Tiri in the centre. It remains to be seen who out of Karan Amin and Augustin Fernandes would play as a right-back as both are centre-back by trade. Mario Arques and Memo should be forming a strong block in front of the defense whereas the trio of Sergio Cidoncha, Carlos Calvo, and Jerry Mawhimingthanga should play behind the lone striker Farukh Chaudhary.

Hello and Welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the ISL match between Chennaiyin FC and Jamshedpur FC. This is Abhishek Kundu and, I'll be taking you through all the action from a crunch game as Jamshedpur FC tries to keep their qualification hopes alive with a victory. The starting lineups should come at any moment from now on.
Jamshedpur FC in a similar situation to that of last season!

Last season, their hopes of making it through to the playoffs were dashed by Bengaluru FC and FC Goa as they lost two consecutive matches against them. This season, a draw even today or against Bengaluru FC would call curtains to their campaign.

Draws were a major factor last season for them not making it to the playoffs as they shared the spoils five times and finished four points behind the fourth-placed FC Pune City. This time, they have bettered the number and have 8 draws to their names. Moreover, they squandered their lead four times and resulted in dropping eight points. Should they fail to make it to the playoffs this time, they will only have themselves to blame as they never played for a win in most of the occasions.
Some records Chennaiyin FC would break if they lose this match:

First champion to finish at the bottom of the table
- Chennaiyin FC won't be able to climb any further in the points table if they lose this match. They will be the first team to finish at the bottom of the table after winning the trophy in the previous season.

Most number of losses in a single season- The current record of losing the most number of matches in a single season is ISL is held by Northeast United FC who lost 13 matches in the 2017-18 season. If they lose this match, they will equal the record, having already lost 12 times previously. Moreover, if they go on to lose the next match against FC Goa, they would be the exclusive holders of this shameful record.
Watch out for Jamshedpur FC scoring a goal or two in the second half!

14 out of 24 goals scored by Jamshedpur FC have come in the second half. The only team to score more goals than the Red Miners this season is FC Goa, who bulged the back of the net a staggering 20 times in 17 matches in the second half. Moreover, Chennaiyin FC even conceded 15 goals in the last 45 minutes of the match. Delhi Dynamos are the only team who have performed worse than the defending champions in this department as they leaked in 18 goals.
Consequences of the match in the points table:

Chennaiyin FC win:
The defending champions are rock-bottom at the ISL table and a win wouldn't change their fortunes. They would still languish in the last position with 11 points from 17 matches. Jamshedpur FC's chances of making it through to the semis will be all but over.

As mentioned in the previous case, the Marina Machans would still be in the last position but this time with 9 points from the double number of matches. A tied result won't be a happy news for Cesar Ferrando and his boys as their hopes of making it to the knockouts will dash in that case too.

Jamshedpur FC win:
If Chennaiyin FC lose this encounter, it would ensure them finishing the league in the bottom of the table. Jamshedpur FC's chances of making it through to the playoffs will be still mathematically alive as they would need a win in their next match against table toppers Bengaluru FC and hope that Northeast United FC drop crucial points to Kerala Blasters in Kochi.
Injuries and suspension news for both the teams:

Jamshedpur FC: Tim Cahill is still nursing his injury and won't be featuring in the game against Chennaiyin FC. The visitors will also be missing the services of Sumeet Passi who suffered an ankle injury in training. In the defense, Robin Gurung and Raju Gaekwad hasn't made the trip down south as the former fractured his left foot and the latter isn't match fit.

Chennaiyin FC: The defending champions will miss the services of the influential Gregory Nelson as he picked up his fourth yellow card in their previous match against Kerala Blasters. Zohmingliana Ralte, who injured himself against Bengaluru FC, is also doubtful to start the game.
Jamshedpur FC Predicted XI: Subrata Pal (GK), Tiri, Augustin Fernandes, Dhanachandra Singh, Yumnam Raju, Memo, Mario Arques, Michael Soosairaj, Sergio Cidoncha, Pablo Morgado, Farukh Chaudhary

Chennaiyin FC Predicted XI: Karanjit Singh, Eli Sabia, Mailson Alves, Tondonba Singh, Laldiana Renthlei, Halicharan Narzary, Christian Herd, Raphael Augusto, CK Vineeth, Francisco Fernandes, Jeje Lalpekhlua
Chennaiyin FC v Jamshedpur FC Preview

The current champions Chennaiyin FC take the field for their final home game of the 2018-19 ISLseason as they host Jamshedpur FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Saturday. There hasn't been much for Chennaiyin FC to look back at the end of the season. An edition regarded as 'over-confident' was a huge blow to the title holders as they could register only two wins throughout these months.

Chennai's two good days at the office were against Pune City in November and Bengaluru FC earlier this month. However, the management would now be aiming at a decent AFC Cup performance starting on 6th March. The new signings hopeful of taking away the club's worries are to rise to the standards at least at this end. Placed at the bottom with 8 points, there are hardly any chances for John Gregory's side to escape the bottom space.

Jamshedpur FC wouldn't want to repeat their mistakes from previous season this year. After a decent outing, they came close to the playoff spot, but couldn't make it to the postseason and finished 5th on the table. At present, JFC is in the same position with a similar backdrop. They have 23 points from 16 games and are 4 points behind Mumbai City just before them. Now, Cesar Ferrando's chances don't depend on his team's results alone, but those of Mumbai City and NorthEast United as well. In this testing situation, even a draw will lead to an exit for Jamshedpur FC.
