On the other end of the Spectrum, the win is a huge boost for Crystal Palace's survival hopes. They are now on 34 points, 4 points ahead of 17th placed Hull City, having played a game less. They look certain to retain their Premiership status. What a turnaround this has been.

This season continues to turn out to be a nightmare for the Emirates outfit. Will they even be able to finish in the top 6. They are level on points with seventh-placed Everton, albeit having played 2 games less.

The loss is a huge blow to Arsenal's top 4 hopes. The Gunners now find themselves 21 points adrift of leaders Chelsea having played a game less and 7 points away from a top four spot.

This is the first time in Arsene Wenger's 20 years career at Arsenal, that his side have lost 4 consecutive away games. Such a shame that such a glorious career has come down to this. It will be a huge mistake if he renews his contract with the Gunners, almost criminal..

Sanchez is still trying, the Chilean just doesn't give up. He has tried to make things happen the entire night but with limited to no success but you cannot fault his attempt.

90+2' Benteke tries an acrobatic volley from the edge of the box but fails to get a proper connection with it and it fails to trouble the Gunners' defence.

90' 4 minutes of added time. Even if there were 20 minutes of added time, Arsenal don't look like they could score even one. Sad state of affairs at the club.

89' Sanchez tries one trick too many on the left and Palace are able to get the ball back. This looks done and dusted and with that the Gunners will remain in 6th place.

86' Almost a 4th for Palace. Townsend send a cross into the box and Benteke connects with it on the volley, the shot is slightly wide but a Palace man is in the middle but Monreal is there to clear it.

It's gone from bad to worse from Arsenal. First, the penalty. It was a contentious decision as Townsend went down when Martinez tried to go for the ball. The referee points to the stop. Milivojevic steps and buries it into the bottom left corner, past a diving Martinez, who guessed it right but couldn't stop the kick.
