88' The official attendance is 64, 867. The City of Joy has flocked in large numbers.
87' East Bengal makes their second substitution.
OFF- Manoj Mohammad
ON- Samad Ali Mallick
86' SAVE!!! Shankar Roy with a brilliant save. Jobby Justin beats Kimkima and is one-on-one with the goalkeeper. However, his finishing is poor and Shankar Roy averts the danger.
84' Mohun Bagan's Abhishek Ambekar gets a yellow card.
83' CHANCE! Faiaz with a brilliant cross after going past Manoj Mohammad. Rakshit Dagar thwarts away the danger with his hand.
80' PENALTY DENIED? Mohun Bagan players are claiming for a penalty after Borja brings down Faiaz inside the box. The referee says play on as he thinks Faiaz is playacting.
79' MISS! Bagui gets past Kamalpreet and curls the ball brilliantly towards Henry Kisekka. However, Chullova intercepts it and heads it out for corner.
78' East Bengal make their first change. A defensive midfielder in place of atacking midfielder.
OFF- Brandon Vanlalremdika
ON- Kamalpreet Singh.
76' Gurjinder Kumar with a smart foul. If he hadn't committed it Lalrindika Ralte would have been through on goal. But, the referee gives him a yellow card.
73' GOOOOOAAAALLLLLLL! Game on for Mohun Bagan. It is Dipanda Dicka this time. A brilliant cross from Arijit Bagui towards Henry Kisekka. The Ugandan laid it off for Dipanda outside the penalty box who squeezes it past the defender and goalkeeper.
71' MISS! Ambekar with a brilliant corner kick and Dicka towers above everyone. However, three East Bengal players marked him out and his header is out of target. Good attempt, although.
69' Tell you what. 10 men Mohun Bagan are playing better than the 11-men one. The attacking impetus was missing earlier. Now, it has rekindled. But, is it too late?
66' WHAT A SAVE!!! Take a bow Rakshit Dagar, take a bow! Bagui with a brilliant cross towards the penalty spot. Borja's clearance is cut out by Kisekka and his shot goes off the foot of Rakshit Dagar.
65' CHANCE! Brandon gets past his marker, but there is no one to collect his cross.
64' Mohun Bagan has been forced to make their second substitution to have a defender.

OFF- Omar El Houssaini
On- Gurjinder Kumar
62' GOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLL! It is Laldanmawia Ralte again. Lalrindika Ralte with a brilliant dead-ball delivery and the Mizo heads it goalbound. The goalkeeper saves it, but the Mizo taps it in the rebound.
60' Out goes Eze Kingsley. He brings Jobby Justin down after the goalscorer bamboozles him. The Nigerian is not protesting because he knows he deserved it. Mohun Bagan are down to 10 men.
56' Tell you what, Faiaz's substitution has given Mohun Bagan a lifeline. They are seeing more of the ball and Kinowaki and Sourav Das are pushing up in the attcking front more. Even the fullbacks have started to overlap.
55' CHANCE! Omar to Sourav to Kinowaki. The Japanese curls it towards Faiaz and his looping header is agonizingly wide.
54' Manoj Mohammad of East Bengal goes in the book for bringing down Faiaz.
52' INJURED!! Jobby Justin is clutching his ankles after Eze Kingsley brings him down in a fair challenge. The goalscorer is up now.
50' TEMPERS FLOWING! Jobby Justin and El Houssieny exchange their tempers. Players from both the teams come out to separate them.
49' East Bengal gets their first yellow card. It is the Costa Rican Jhonny Acosta who handles the ball trying to win a free-kick from Dipanda Dicka. The replays show that it was a foul indeed.
48' CHANCE! Faiaz gets past Chullova and crosses it towards the box. However, Borja clears it out.
46' Second half kicks off!!! Mohun Bagan roll the ball. But, can they roll their fortunes and come out unscathed?
Halftime thoughts- East Bengal has decimated Mohun Bagan on the wings. Arijit Bagui and Abhishek Ambekar have been forced more into their defensive duties and have rarely overlapped. Mohun Bagan's long-ball strategy is not working. Eze Kingsley should consider himself lucky to be on the pitch.

East Bengal needs to continue what they are doing. They didn't let the early goal hamper their confidence and lodged a brilliant comeback. They were clearly the better side and deserved to be in the lead.
45 + 1' There is the half time whistle. East Bengal fans erupt in euphoria as their side is a goal up. Can East Bengal win their first derby since 2016?
45' One minute added on. Can Mohun Bagan score?

44' GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL! Jobby Justin with a brilliant overhead kick to make it 2-1 for East Bengal. A brilliant cross from Vanlalremdika from the left wing towards Laldanmawia. The MIzo heads it towards Justin and he fires it home. Mohun Bagan's lead is cut out.
42' Mohun Bagan makes their first substitution. And, it is the goalscorer who is off.

OFF- Azharuddin Mallick
ON- Sheikh Faiaz
40' CHANCE! Brandon's cross meets Kingsley. The Nigerian's clearance is straight in the path of Justin and the goalkeeper was out of line. However, his first touch was straight towards the goalkeeper.
38' Mohun Bagan's strategy of playing the two strikers in the same line is backfiring. They aren't combining and are way disjointed with the midfield. Someone needs to drop down in the hole.
34' WASTED! Lalrindika Ralte's corner misses everyone again. The Mizo needs to buckle up.
32' FOUL!!! Kingsley elbows Jamie Colado. It should have been a second yellow, but the referee doesn't give it. The last time a red card was shown in the derby, Syed Rahim Nabi ended up in the hospital after Mohun Bagan fans became berserk.
31' There is difference in the long ball tactics from both the side. Mohun Bagan are shooting in the air aimlessly. East Bengal are playing sensible long ball, releasing it only when required.
28' FOUL NOT GIVEN!!! Lalramchullova brings down Dicka just outside the penalty box, but referee plays it on. The replays confirm that it was a foul. Dicka absolutely furious.
26' WASTED! Didika's cross misses everyone, goalkeepers and the goalpost including.
25' Yellow card flashed to Yuta Kinowaki for a lunging foul on Jamie Colado. East Bengal have a free-kick in a dangerous position.
23' The triangle between Laldanmawia Ralte, Jobby Justin, and Jamie Santos is causing havoc for Mohun Bagan. But, East Bengal are fumbling in the attacking third.
19' Shilton Paul gets a yellow card. It is the second for Mohun Bagan.
17' GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLL!!! Laldanmawia Ralte equalizes for East Bengal. Lalrindika Ralte to Vanlalremdika to Jobbi Justin. The Keralite sends Danmawia through and he smothers past the goalkeeper. However, the replays show that he was just one step ahead. East Bengal and their fans will not mind that, though.
17' ON THE COUNTER! Jobby Justin is one-on-one with the goalkeeper but he overcooks and fumbles.
16' Goal line clearance! East Bengal makes a goal-line clearance after Eze Kingsley heads in a Mohun Bagan cross.
14' GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLL! Mohun Bagan take the lead. Omar El Houssaini putmuscles Chullova and sends a curling cross from the left wing. Rakshit Dagar stretched full-dive but couldn't reach the ball. No one marks Azharuddin Mallick's run who taps it home to send the Mohun Bagan fans in euphoria.
13' Eze Kingsley gets the first booking of the Derby. The Mohun Bagan captain needs to be cautious now.
12' CROSS! It's Dipanda Dicka with a cross from the right wing looking for El Houssaini. However, it is waywards.
9' FOUL! Borja pulls down Dicka from the back at the centre of the pitch.
7' Mohun Bagan is trying to slow down the tempo of the match and looking to sneak through the long balls. East Bengal, on the other hand, is blazing all their guns.
3' Jamie Santos is doing his job brilliantly on the left wing. Lalrindika Ralte's resultant shot is way above the crossbar. The Mohun Bagan defenders need to be wary about the new signing.
1' CROSS! Jamie with a cross from the left wing towards Danmawia. However, his short height betrays him.
1' KICKOFF... The crowd erupts in unison as East Bengal gets the ball rolling.
Both the sides come out of the tunnel. East Bengal are wearing Red and Gold. Mohun Bagan, on the other hand, are coming out wearinga All-Whites. The West Bengal Sports Minister shakes hands with players of both the sides.
We have a view of the beautiful Salt Lake stadium now. The East Bengal fans have painted one half of the stadium into Red and Gold. The other one is painted Green and Maroon by the Mohun Bagan fans. Which of these fans do you think will go home with the same vigor with which they entered?
Mohun Bagan has made two changes to the 1-1 draw against Chennai City FC. The injured Pintu Mohata and Sony Norde are out and, Azharuddin Mallick and Dipanda Dicka makes their way to the starting line-up.

East Bengal, too, has made two changes to their 3-1 win over Gokulam Kerala. Salam Ranjan Singh and Enrique Esqueda have been shown the doors, and Jhonny Acosta and Jaime Colado are in the playing XI.
Here are the starting lineups:

Mohun Bagan XI: Sankar Roy (GK), Kingsley Obumneme, Yuta Kinowaki, Sourav Das, Aser Pierrick Dipanda, Henry Kisekka, Arijit Bagui, Abhishek Ambekar, Lalchhawnkima, Omar Elhussieny, Azharuddin Mallick

UPDATE: The I-League encounter between Chennai City FC and Minerva Punjab ends in a draw. Both East Bengal and Mohun Bagan have a golden opportunity to narrow down the lead as the league-leaders has dropped two points.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the live coverage of the first ever I-League Kolkata derby of the 2018-19 season. This is Abhishek Kundu and I will accompany you throughout the match. The lineups should be out in any moment.
Unlike a usual top-of-the-table clash, both the sides are languishing at the middle of the table. East Bengal and Mohun Bagan are both sitting on the seventh and eighth position at the table with 9 points from 6 matches each.

Chennai City FC are the runaway leaders with 18 points from 8 matches if the ongoing match against Minerva Punjab ends in a draw. This is a must-win game for both the sides if they want to be a part of the chasing pack alongside Real Kashmir, NEROCA, Churchill Brothers, and Minerva Punjab. A draw will not be of any help to either of the sides.
Probable lineups:

East Bengal- Rakshit Dagar (GK), Lalramchullova, Salam Ranjan Singh, Borja Perez, Manoj Mohammad, Jamie Santos, Lalrindika Ralte, Kasim Aidara, Brandon Vanlalremdika, Jobi Justin, Bidyashagar Singh

Mohun Bagan- Sankar Roy (GK), Arijit Bagui, Kingsley Obumneme, Lalchawnkima, Abhishek Ambekar, Sourav Das, Yuta Kinowaki, Shilton D'Silva, Sheikh Faiaz, Henry Kisseka, Dipanda Dicka
5 Players to watch out in the Kolkata Derby:

Apart from Jamie Santos who will be making his debut for East Bengal, these are the other players, fans and opponents should keep an eye on.

Yuta Kinowaki- The Japanese is known for his proficiency in the defensive midfield and will be entrusted to contain the creativity of Lalrindika Ralte.

Lalrindika Ralte- No player other than Lalrindika Ralte knows the gravity of this situation better than Lalrindika Ralte. The Mizo played a handful of derbies in the Red and Gold jersey from 2012 to 2017 and, his experience will be vital for East Bengal.

Henry Kisseka- The Ugandan arrived in the Indian shores last season and has contributed directly in 4 of the 7 goals for Mohun Bagan. Borja Perez and Salam Ranjan Singh must not give him space.

Jobi Justin- The Keralite has already scored four goals in 6 matches and is the leading Indian goalscorer. With his partner-in-crime Enrique Esqueda missing the match, the onus will be on Jobi Justin to score goals.

Dipanda Dicka- The last time these two sides collided Dipanda Dicka's brace bifurcated the two sides. Will he be the X-factor today?
3 Reasons why this is East Bengal's best chance to win the Kolkata Derby:

The defensive pairing: Alejandro Menendez took a bold step to bench the Costa Rican World Cupper Johny Acosta. His replacement, Salam Ranjan Singh, marshaled the defense alongside Borja Gomez Perez in their match against Gokulam Kerala. The duo should be able to contain the threat of Henry Kisseka and Dipanda Dicka.

The Jaime Santos factor: Mohun Bagan doesn't know much about Jamie Santos. It would be the first appearance of the Spaniard who can play on either side of the wings. In the last I-League derby, Akhram Moghrabi donned the Green and Maroon jersey for the first time and the East Bengal defenders couldn't contain his partnership with Dipanda Dicka. The unknown weapons in the arsenal could deal the deathblow today.

No Sony Norde: The fan favorite Sony Norde would be missing the game owing to an injury. This gives East Bengal a major breather as the Haitian can single-handedly change the complexion of the game.
Kolkata Derby: Its history and origin

The rivalry between East Bengal FC and Mohun Bagan AC commenced when India was still under the British rule. It all began in 1920 when Sailesh Basu, a prominent player from Dhaka, was dropped from the team of Jora Bagan (previous name of Mohun Bagan) due to his ethnicity.

Sailesh Basu, along with a couple of his industrialist friends, started the East Bengal club which represented the immigrant workers of East Pakistan. Slowly and steadily, East Bengal vs. Mohun Bagan transformed from a match between two of the most fierce Indian side to a clan war.

Inter-ethnic marriages between the two communities might have alienated that dissension, but the rivalry still carries on the field between the supporters of the club.
East Bengal v Mohun Bagan preview:

The highly-anticipated Kolkata Derby of the I-League 2018-19 season between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan will be played at 5 pm on Sunday evening at the Salt Lake Stadium.

It is going to be a battle of equals as both teams are missing their marquee players for the game. While striker Enrique Esqueda is out injured for East Bengal, Mohun Bagan will miss the services of Haitian forward Sony Norde.

Still, there's plenty of talent around to make the Derby an exciting one. For one thing, the Kolkata Derby will set the tone for the title run for both the teams.

Locked on nine points in six games but separated by goal difference, a win for either side will help them move up the table. It will also provide the winning team some bragging rights and instil confidence for the rest of the season of the I-League.

East Bengal started the season well but suffered back-to-back defeats and only recovered recently with a 3-1 win over Gokulam Kerala.

Mohun Bagan have had mixed results throughout the season but the 0-4 defeat to Churchill Brothers gave them a wake-up call to get their act together.

East Bengal coach Alejandro Menendez will bank on the in-form forward Jobby Justin to continue his decent run in the league. With four goals in six games, Jobby is the highest Indian goalscorer of the I-League and trails leader Willis Plaza by three strikes.

For Mohun Bagan, coach Sankarlal Chakraborty will bank on the foreign strike attack of Aser Dipanda Dicka and Henry Kisekka to find their scoring feet again. Dipanda has three goals so far and a goal against East Bengal will do the team a world of good.

Bagan clinched the Calcutta Football League title in sensational fashion, which will give Menendez's boys some extra motivation to get this one in the bag.

The last time these two sides met, in the CFL in September 2018, the game ended in a 2-2 draw. Pintu Mahata, who scored in that draw, will miss Sunday's game due to an injury. Sukhdev Singh is also out for MB.

When and where to watch: The Live Streaming of the game is available on Hotstar and Jio TV. The game is live on Star Sports 3. The kick-off is at 5 pm IST
