P. Jagielka 10'
Everton barely broke into a sweat against Arsenal and controlled the game efficiently. Though Marco Silva had his critics at the start of the season, he might just be on to something at the tail end of his first season as Everton manager.

Emery on the other hand, has his task cut out trying to sort Arsenal's horrendous away form. With four of the remaining six games away from home, the Gunners need to get their away act together or they run the risk of missing out on the top four altogether
The loss consigns Arsenal to fourth spot and they have now left the door open for Chelsea to leapfrog them into fourth when the Blues play West Ham tomorrow.

Everton hold on for a narrow 1-0 victory over Arsenal. The Gunners produced an utterly dire display and deserved to go back to London empty-handed.

95' Arsenal has a corner in the fifth minute of stoppage time. But, Everton see off the danger yet again
94' Everton clear the ball courtesy Zouma and bring the ball away. They create a shooting chance which is again blocked by Sokratis

93' The corner comes to nothing as Arsenal prepare to launch a final attacking assault. Free kick for Arsenal near the half-way line
92' A wretched pass by Mustafi invites Lookman to attack. But, the German redeems himself with a last-ditch tackle. Corner for Everton

A minimum of five minutes added at the end of regulation time!!!
90' Final Substitution for Everton
Sigurdsson comes off for Davies
88' Change for Everton!
Bernard is replaced by Lookman for the final few minutes of the game
87' Sigurdsson finds Zouma with the corner but the defender's header loops over the bar
86' The resultant corner takes a nick and falls to Walcott on the right side of the penalty box. But, his shot is blocked by Monreal. Another corner follows for Everton
86' Everton win it in midfield yet again and release Walcott on the right. His cross is deflected behind by Maitland-Niles who argues vehemently against the awarding of the corner
84' Neat inter-play by Everton near the Arsenal box allows Gomes to shoot at goal. But, his curled effort trickles wide
82' Yellow Card for Mustafi!
Mustafi cynically fouls Calvert Lewin as the latter gets the better of him on the right touch-line.
The foul sparks a mini tussle on the touchline as both managers have a verbal go at each other
81' Theo Walcott breaks away from Arsenal's midfield and finds Bernard on the left flank. The Brazilian's shot is saved by Leno who claims the ball on the second attempt
79' Everton make a change!
Former Arsenal man, Theo Walcott replaces Richarlison
76' Iwobi's dazzling feet create space for Lacazette but the latter loses his balance at the wrong time and can't make the most of his chance as he musters a tame cross
75' Final Change for Arsenal!
Alex Iwobi comes on for Mesut Ozil
74' An untimely slip by Mustafi opens up a shooting opportunity for Sigurdsson (again). His shot is miraculously blocked by Sokratis. The loose ball finds Richarlison who can only skew his shot past the near post
72' A poor giveaway by Arsenal in the Everton half leads to an Evertonian counter attack. Richarlison bursts forward and finds Sigurdsson. The Icelander though can only fire his shot straight at Leno.
Everton could yet rue their missed chances later in the game
71' Mkhitaryan finds space in midfield and cuts inside Coleman. Unfortunately for him, his curled shot just flashes wide of the far post
70' Digne whips in a delicious corner from the left side. Calvert Lewin jumps the highest and meets the ball but his header is straight at Leno

69' Ozil gives the ball away in midfield. But, Everton can't make the most of it as Calvert Lewin wastes the opportunity.
Arsenal, from the resulting turnover, spring a break of their own but Aubameyang's cross is dealt with expertly by Digne
67' Everton find space down Arsenal's right flank this time. However, their cross is cleared in un-orthodox fashion by Sokratis
63' Everton again raid down Arsenal's left flank. Richarlison's cross is palmed away by Leno. The hosts recycle the ball and create a shooting chance for Sigurdsson. But, he can't register a shot on target
62' Maitland-Niles' poor game continues as the Englishman inexplicably throws a ball straight out of play
61' Everton win a string of corners after some slick play down the right flank. The second of those corners is met by Richarlison whose header finds its way to Digne. However, Digne can't produce a good cross and it sails harmlessly wide
60' Maitland-Niles makes a wretched attempt at a backward header near his own penalty box. Bernard capitalises on the loose pass before going eyeball to eyeball with Leno. Leno though comes up trumps as he thwarts the Brazilian's attempt
59' A smashing pass by Mustafi feeds Lacazette. The striker though can't generate enough power on the header to trouble Pickford.

57' Another corner for Arsenal. The delivery this time is better as it causes Everton problems. The ball nearly falls to Sokratis before Everton clear the danger
56' Mkhitaryan finds himself in acres of space in midfield. But, the Armenian's intended pass to Aubameyang is poor as the ball fizzes past the striker and into the advertising hoardings
54' Everton get in behind Arsenal down their right flank. The cross from the wing finds Calvert Lewin. The striker brings it down and passes to Sigurdsson. But, the pace on the pass is too much to handle for Sigurdsson.
The move develops further as Everton win it back in midfield. But, Sigurdsson blasts a thirty yard shot over the bar
51' Arsenal's change in system paying dividends as the visitors turn the screw. They win another corner. The corner is played in by Mkhitaryan. An Everton head gets to it first before falling into Ramsey's path. But, the Arsenal midfielder can't control his left-footed shot as he fires wide
50' Yellow card for Andre Gomes!
Gomes gives the ball away to Ramsey in midfield. The Welshman strides forward before his run is interrupted by Gomes, who is finally booked after a string of fouls
48' Big chance for Arsenal!
Pickford makes a hash of his attempted punch. The ball falls to Ramsey but the Welshman fails to get over the ball and loops his shot over the bar
46' Arsenal start the second half as they earn an early corner. Ozil whips in the corner but it fails to find an Arsenal shirt.
Sigurdsson brings the resulting loose ball out of defence before getting fouled by Maitland-Niles near the half-way line
Second Half begins!
Aubameyang and Ramsey on for Kolasinac and Elneny at the break!
Arsenal switch to 4-2-3-1
Huge uproar at the break as replays show the throw-in which led to Jagielka's goal to be a foul throw. Digne had stepped over the line and onto the pitch before launching the ball into the box.

Will the introduction of VAR help erase such goals?
Everton take a 1-0 lead into the half-time break. The hosts have been brilliant in the first half with their energy and desire cornering Arsenal. The Gunners, on the other hand, have looked lethargic and haven't been able to play with any sort of tempo.

A huge second half awaits Emery's men in their pursuit of the top four and they need to find at least a couple of higher gears if they are to get any joy from this game
45+1' Everton finishing the half off on a high as they mount another attack. The ball falls to Coleman whose cross nearly dovetails with Richarlison. The Brazilian's extravagant overhead kick though fails to connect
43' Arsenal clear the corner before some brilliant footwork from Lacazette earns them a foul and relieves a bit of pressure. However, had the Frenchman been a little more proactive, he could have released Ozil on the left flank
41' A quick free-kick nearly catches Arsenal off-guard. Monreal gets completely caught out before Sokratis rescues his teammate with an interception. The ball goes out for an Everton corner
38' Guendouzi's pass is cut out in midfield. Gomes then plays a parallel pass to Sigurdsson. The midfielder, however, only fires a tame shot at Leno from outside the box
37' A sumptuous Ozil back-heel sets in motion an Arsenal attack. Lacazette then switches the ball to the right flank where Maitland-Niles fires a cross straight into the hands of Pickford
34' The referee, Kevin Friend plays advantage as Lacazette is obstructed by Gomez. The attack comes to nothing as Everton clear Kolasinac's cross easily
33' Everton's prowess on the flanks is proving tough to handle for Arsenal. Ozil and Mkhitaryan's inability to track the opposition full-backs is only magnifying the problem for the Gunners
31' Arsenal shift the ball out well to Kolasinac on the left flank. But, akin to the opening half an hour, the quality in the offensive third is dreadful as the Bosnian skies his cross into the stands
29' Arsenal struggling to move the ball quickly with their midfielders not getting to grips with Everton's energy. Everton completely dominating the game at the moment
25' Another Arsenal attack fizzles out due to poor quality in the final third. Everton react quickly and play in Richarlison. The forward whips in a cross before it is cleared by Sokratis in front of Calvert Lewin. The clearance falls to Gueye, who slices his shot awfully wide
24' Yellow Card for Sokratis
Everton try to spring the counter with Sigurdsson playing a through ball for Calvert Lewin. However, the striker is impeded by Sokratis who deservedly goes into the book
23' Digne with another long throw. Though this one was cleared comfortably, the throw-ins are providing Everton with another attacking avenue
21' Everton press high and win the ball in midfield again. Arsenal struggling to play out from the back with conviction
19' A clever flick from Bernard attempts to free Gomes. However, Sokratis gets in the way before being fouled by the Portuguese. The Greek has stayed down after the challenge. Worrying signs for the Gunners
18' A poor back-pass by Monreal puts Leno under pressure. The German courtesy a poor touch invites Calvert-Lewin onto him. The ball ricochets off the Arsenal keeper for an Everton throw
17' Arsenal waste an opportunity from a corner kick as Ozil and Mkhitaryan's short corner routine ends up in a goal kick
15' Digne finds Richarlison with a superb cross-field pass but the latter fails to make the most of his chance. The ball falls to Gomes in midfield who sends his shot horribly wide
12' Arsenal control the ball after going a goal down but the Gunners are unable to create chances.
However, they give the ball away before a superb challenge by Mustafi thwarts a potential counter attack

10' GOAL!!!!
A long throw-in from the left wing causes a nuisance in the Arsenal penalty box. A melee ensues which results in the ball falling kindly to Jagielka. He makes no mistake and taps the ball into the net
9' Mustafi nearly releases Lacazette with a pin-point long ball. Eventually, the attack comes to nothing.
Everton take the goal kick early and apply immediate pressure before Sokratis clears a cross from the left flank.

7' Lucas Digne overlapping in the early exchanges with the Frenchman earning a throw-in. The resulting long throw-in bounces harmlessly over Arsenal's goal

5' Arsenal pinch the ball in midfield again before stringing a few passes. But the away side can't muster anything substantial as a challenge by Guendouzi offers Everton respite.
The tackle by Guendouzi earns him a yellow card
2' Andre Gomes loses the ball in midfield. The Gunners move forward swiftly before Gueye makes a last ditch challenge. The ball goes out for a corner
