A boring first half, an exhilarating second half, an awful night for the officials. Another night of goals at the Fatorda as well! Goa move up to third in the ISL Table, and they'll head into the break happy! We're in Chennai tomorrow, as the champions Chennaiyin host Delhi Dynamos in the battle of the cellar-dwellers! Join us for that one, and until then it's goodbye from me Aaditya Narayan.

Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for more ISL content. Adios, mi amigos! Have a good Friday night, and a good start to your weekend!
FC Goa 5-1 NorthEast United

Two awful refereeing decisions opened the floodgates. Then Goa absolutely smashed it to pieces! NorthEast should've had a penalty, wasn't given. Jacki was offside in the build-up to Goa's first goal, not given. Then Coro scored his first.

Then Edu Bedia and Boumous scored in the space of a couple of minutes. Coro's second on the night and Palanca's third of the season rounded off the rout, either side of Ogbeche's consolation for NorthEast.

NorthEast will say they were unlucky, but once they went 1-0 down, they didn't defend. And Goa filled their fans with joy!

I complained about a boring first-half, Sergio Lobera's boys heard me and put on a five-star second-half showing! Sensational win from Goa!

Lovely run from Palanca down the left flank. NorthEast have allowed him to run, allowed him to cut back onto his right foot, allowed him to shoot, and Palanca has found the net at the near post! This is a proper Fatorda party!
90+1' Three more minutes of added time
90' GOAL! Ogbeche gets NorthEast a consolation

The corner is headed by Ogbeche, and Nawaz saves it but doesn't get it away from goal, and the rebound falls back to the skipper, who smashes it past Nawaz.
88' Final change for Goa, now, as Brandon Fernandes is taken off after a sensational performance!

ON - Pratesh Shirodkar
OFF - Brandon Fernandes
86' Goa make their second change, as the excellent Boumous goes off the field to a standing ovation from the Fatorda.

ON - Miguel Palanca
OFF - Hugo Boumous
84' GOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLL! CORO! The floodgates have been blasted open, and Goa have absolutely ripped NorthEast to shreds again!

Rowllin's given it away cheaply in midfield, and Coro has charged towards the goal, before slipping Boumous through on the left. The Moroccan has squared it to Coro who has an open goal to smash it into! CORO IS NOW THE JOINT HIGHEST GOALSCORER IN ISL HISTORY!
81' Goa spring away on the break again, and Boumous has played Manvir through with a lovely pass. He's tried to square it for Coro, but that's an easy interception for Grgic.
78' REFEREEING ERROR KLAXON! I'm a little bored by this now. That was a clear yellow as Rowllin fouled Boumous and clearly stopped the counter-attack! That should've been a second yellow card for the NorthEast man. CR Srikrishna, you sir, have had an absolute nightmare tonight!
76' First change of the day for Goa, as they take Jacki off to be replaced by Manvir

ON - Manvir Singh
OFF - Jackichand Singh
74' NorthEast make their final change as well, as Mascia goes off.

ON - Nikhil Kadam
OFF - Juan Mascia
74' Gurwinder, who was caught out for a couple of the goals, is hauled off, and Puitea replaces him.

ON - Lalthathanga Khawlhring
OFF - Gurwinder Singh

Superb football, this, from Goa!
Edu Bedia waits for Brandon to make a run on his outside on the right and slips him through perfectly. That's a lovely low cross from Brandon, and Boumous has just slotted that home with ease!

Super ball in-field from Boumous, Bedia jinks past a diving Gurwinder and charges as he's one-on-one with Pawan. He waits for the 'keeper to make his move, and then just chips it over him, and into the net! Goa have command!
68' Pawan with a big save! Lovely switch from Boumous to find Coro, who looked to be offside, but he received it, and played Brandon through on the right flank. He jinks past Keegan and shoots towards Pawan's far-post, but that's saved!
63' Gallego! Lovely interplay between the Uruguayan, Ogbeche and Mascia, and eventually it's Mascia's layoff that invites Gallego to shoot, but that's off-target and Nawaz still doesn't have a save to make.
But hey, ISL! Fine those clubs whose fans question these refereeing decisions, no? Curb the emotions of fans who keep seeing their teams being dealt these blasphemous refereeing decisions game after game?! Come on!

Lovely through-ball from Boumous to Jacki on the right flank, and that's a lovely cross towards the near-post from Jacki! Coro has got ahead of Grgic, and smashed it in goal! 1-0 Goa!

BUT WAIT, AGAIN, REFEREEING ERROR KLAXON! Jacki was offside when he received that pass from Boumous! NorthEast are being dealt an absolute disasterclass from the officials.
57' Keegan! With the right-foot! That free-kick has fallen to Keegan on the edge of the area, he cuts in on his right, and curls it towards the far-post, but he's just missed the target.
55' REFEREEING ERROR KLAXON! That corner has struck Carlos Pena's arm, that is a blatant, blatant penalty! Just when we were wondering how the next refereeing error was going to come, it has! THE REFEREE HAS GIVEN A FREE-KICK TO GOA FOR A HANDBALL FROM THE NORTHEAST PLAYER! HOW? HOW? HOW? HOW? HOW?
54' HOW HAS THAT MISSED THE BACK OF THE NET! REDEEM TLANG HAS GOT TO SCORE! He's got behind the Goa defence! And that's a fantastic chance that's been spurned, as he never got proper contact on the ball after being one-on-one with Nawaz!
Remember, at half-time, it was 240 minutes without a goal for Goa. There's nothing in these opening seven minutes of the half to suggest a goal coming.
50' Brandon takes, towards Fall at the far-post. The big Senegalese heads it wide, and flattens Gurwinder in the process with a stray elbow on the face.
49' Leudo's got the ball from Bedia, and has been penalised. Bedia smiles at Leudo, knowing he's got a free set-piece.
48' The telecast has just panned to the most bizarre part of any ISL match - that of men clad in blue shirts dancing for the camera, trying to be in sync, but more often than not, just making the viewer angry at being forced to watch that instead.
46' The break has done nothing to help the scrappiness of the game, as both sides have their passing radars a little bit astray.
46' PEEEEEP! Off we go again at the Fatorda, NorthEast get us underway
There's a half-time substitution for NorthEast, as Robert is taken off after being given a rather tough time by Jacki in the first half.

ON - Keegan Pereira
OFF - Robert Lalthlamuana
FC Goa 0-0 NorthEast United

This is where I'd generally type out a half-time report. But I'll come up woefully short in trying to describe how painful a watch this game has been so far. Goa have had a few chances, but the final ball's been particularly poor. NorthEast have defended well, but have created not a thing going forward.

Need to get myself out of this slumber, before the second half begins. Hopefully, that's an improvement on this. It's not going to take much to be an improvement on this, mind you!

Back in a bit!
45+1' PPPEEEEPPPP! That's Half-time, at the end of the most boring, uneventful half of football at the Fatorda, in ages!
45+1' A minute of stoppage time at the end of the first half. The break cannot come soon enough! Put me out of this misery please!
43' Rowllin Borges is the third NorthEast player to go into the book. That is harsh, harsher than the Delhi air is to people's healths. Coro has made a meal of that, and Goa have a free-kick again. Brandon takes, NorthEast have a free-kick as Fall is caught offside.
40' NorthEast are trying to get Ogbeche into this game, but they are failing with every single attempt. No failure in failing. The game's got so boring I'm going all meta with this Inception kind of nonsense.
39' Brandon aims towards the far-post, but there's too much elevation on that one, and the ball's gone well out of play.
38' Goa have another free-kick this time, as Gallego brings Brandon down with a clumsy challenge. Goa have another free-kick on the left flank, which Brandon will take.
35' Bedia! Lovely whip on the ball from Coro on the left wing, and Bedia has skewed an overhead kick wide! He should've left that to Boumous who was right behind him and was coming on to the ball to strike it.
34' Both NorthEast full-backs are in the book now, as Reagan is cautioned, for cynically pulling Coro down right by the sideline.
33' There's nothing happening in this game, and that's a rare thing to say in a Goa game. They're getting frustrated, and that has resulted in some disgraceful simulation from Boumous, who's no stranger to the dark arts.
28' UFFF SO CLOSE! That's more lovely play from Goa, and Coro in particular. He's driven towards Grgic, and then released Jacki just in time. The winger runs towards the by-line, and smashes it across the face of goal. There's too much on it for either Coro or Brandon.
27' That is fantastic perseverance from Redeem to rob Mandar off the ball, and he's then cut it back to Ogbeche on the edge of the box. That skipper has tried to swivel and smash it into the net, but he's got right underneath that and it's gone well over the bar.
24' Robert was booked for a foul in the build-up to that Goa chance.
23' OFFSIDE! That looked like it was going in anyway from Coro, Boumous has denied his team-mate, and Goa a goal! Fabulous play between Bedia, Brandon and Mandar on the left, before the switch to Coro. He plays Jacki through, and the winger reaches the by-line and cuts it back to Coro, who diverts it towards goal, and Boumous diverts it in goal. NO GOAL!
21' Gallego smacks! There was venom in that, but no accuracy. Mascia holds off Pena easily, and lays it off for the onrushing Gallego, who's around 25 yards from goal, as he unleashes a venomous strike at Nawaz's goal. Just got a little underneath that, and the height on the shot means Nawaz can watch it sail through.
19' NorthEast want to make this a scrap here, as they are disrupting Goa's pretty passing patterns with ease. Leudo has been instrumental, as he always is.
15' CHANCE! Goa keep the ball alive after Grgic cleared the corner. Brandon plays in Boumous with a brilliant reverse through ball down the left flank. The Moroccan's cross is between the keeper and the six-yard box, but it's just beyond the outstretched boots of Coro and Fall. If Fall's legs can't reach that, no one else can.
14' Fall plays a fantastic raking diagonal ball towards Brandon on the left flank. Fantastic play from the Goa man who teases Regan, before winning the corner. He takes the corner himself, but that man Grgic is there again to whack it away!
13' Another corner taken short from Goa, another eventual cross that is repelled by Grgic.
12' Brandon plays it towards teh far-post where Pena is closing the backdoor, but Grgic is there, and Goa will have another corner.
12' Free-kick from a reasonably good position for Goa, here as Bedia goes down after a challenge from Rowllin. That's another awful refereeing call, Rowllin got that ball clean as a whistle. Brandon will take the set-piece.
10' The corner is cleared away by Grgic, who's been big as usual for NorthEast.
10' SERITON! Absolutely magnificent run from the right-back. He skips around the outside of Robert, and gets past him like he wasn't there. In the end, Grgic gets out to meet Seriton and clear for a Goa corner, which Brandon will take.
8' Goa have a corner of their own, as Coro flicks it off Grgic and takes the corner. Lovely ball down the left channel from Pena to set Coro free, but the big Croat cleans up.
Senor Lobera's looking as calm as he always does on his touchline. Eelco Schattorie is down on his haunches already, heaven knows why.
5' Gallego plays it short to Robert, before receiving the return pass that he swings in first time. But it's straight at Nawaz.
4' NorthEast have a corner, as Mascia's hopeful effort from 35 yards out hits Pena before going out. Poor from Nawaz as he scuffed his clearance to give NorthEast the chance.
3' Pawan launches it with a huge kick up-field, and Mascia gives Pena some trouble. But Mr. Srikrishna judges that as too much force from the Uruguayan. Goa have a free-kick and they can build again.
1' Goa are off in attack straightaway! Fantastic period of possession straight from kick-off, and it was penetrative possession! Boumous plays Jacki in, and he skins Gurwinder before smacking his shot into the side-netting. Pawan had his near-post covered, though.
1' PEEEEEPPP! Off we go! Goa, in their white and orange home strip get us underway, kicking from right to left, as we see it on the idiot box. NorthEast are in their changed strip of all black. Obviously, they're kicking the other way.
Anthems sung, hands shook, team photos taken. Mandar and Ogbeche are with referee CR Srikrishna at the centre circle. Goa will kick us off in just a moment.
Ogbeche and Mandar at the head of the two lines, as the teams walk out to a raucous Fatorda! We're edging ever closer to kickoff. But first, time for Jana Gana Mana
In the absence of Jahouh, I expect Edu Bedia to take over the reins of controlling Goa's play from deep in their midfield. That means Brandon and Jacki need to step up in support of Coro, with the supply line coming from Boumous.
We're 10 minutes away from kickoff at the Fatorda. Hopefully, Coro and Ogbeche can inspire their sides to give us all an entertaining contest.
Coro v Ogbeche! Coro has one shot on target in the last three games. Ogbeche has two in that time period. Is this the day when they re-explode? It's going to be one hell of a ride, if it is. The Fatorda barely sees a lack of goals, so it's the perfect venue for both the hitmen to find their shooting boots back again.

FC Goa vs NorthEast United FC preview:

Two top-four aspirants will hope to break their recent loss of form as FC Goa host NorthEast United at the Fatorda Stadium in Goa on Friday.

Goa come off a shocking 0-2 defeat at the hands of FC Pune City, while NEUFC have been held to a draw in their last three games.

The game will see a clash between the joint top-scorers of the ISL - FC Goa's Ferran Corominas and NEUFC's Bartholomew Ogbeche. Both of them have netted eight goals in the campaign.

The dip in performance for both sides coincides with Coro and Ogbeche not being able to find the back of the net in recent games. Coro's last goal came in the 3-1 win over Kerala Blasters a month ago, while Ogbeche scored in the 2-0 win over FC Pune City at the end of November.

Apart from these two, Edu Bedia has to play a better role in the midfield for Goa. The Spaniard has struck some important goals for the Gaurs but has not managed a decent accurate shot in the last 2 games.

With a win, Goa can climb above NEUFC on the table up to the third spot on goal difference. Three points for Goa will take their tally to 20 points in 11 games before the break.

A win for NEUFC will see them challenge Mumbai City for the second spot on the table.

Both the sides met in the first gameweek of the season, producing an entertaining 2-2 draw. Federico Gallego and Ogbeche struck for the Highlanders in between a brace for Coro.

The game will see a midfield battle among Hugo Boumous and Ahmed Jahouh for the hosts against Gallego and Rowllin Borges. Juan Mascia could again be used as a substitute by coach Eelco Schattorie for NEUFC.

It will be interesting to see if Jackichand Singh, who was benched for Goa's 0-2 loss to Pune, will return to the XI.

When and where to watch: The Live Streaming is on Hotstar and Jio TV. Television telecast is on the Star Sports Network and NorthEast Live. The kick off is at 7.30 pm IST.
