Arsenal emerged comfortable winners, in the end, thanks to goals from Xhaka, Walcott and a Sanchez brace. Hull began the better side, and played with freedom but Arsenal's opener seemed to dent their confidence. A Jake Livermore red card minutes later did not aide their cause one bit and although Sanchez did fluff the resulting penalty, a Walcott goal 10 minutes after the half time break gave Arsenal a 2 goal cushion. Mbokani came on and had an instant impact winning a penalty for his side which Snodgrass converted. Alexis, however, stifled the fightback with Arsenal's third before Granit Xhaka's monstrous strike sealed the 3 points for the Gunners.
The win takes Arsenal into 2nd place in the table while Hull slip down to 10th.
