Leicester City really struggled to make an impact on the game from the beginning and Hull City took an unlikely lead in the first half thanks to a combination of Diomande's and Abel Hernandez acrobatic effort.
Although, Leicester equalised through Mahrez's penalty early in the second half, Hull always looked threatening and they took a 2-1 lead in the 58th minute through a beautifully struck shot from Snodgrass.
As the clock ticked, Vardy and co ran out of ideas as Hull held on resolutely to secure a shock 2-1 victory on opening day
