FT: Kerala Blasters 0-0 Delhi Dynamos

Kerala Blasters earned their first point of ISL 2016, playing out a goalless draw against Delhi Dynamos. The visitors will be glad overall to leave with a point, as the Blasters dominated the first half.

Michael Chopra had the best chance of the game at the end of the first half, drawing a great save from Doblas. The Delhi keeper had to go off in the second half due to an injury, and Delhi proceeded to make the game more of a contest.

Hengbart was lucky not to have been sent off for a second yellow, but Michael Chopra was not as lucky with the referee as he was booked for diving late into the game.

The two sides tired in injury time, accepting the draw, but Kerala will be disappointed to go three games without a goal, especially since the home support was magnificent.

...

90+5' Milan takes revenge with an elbow into Mehtab's midriff, and goes into the book.

...

90+4' HAHAHA! The referee gets in the way of German, and as Kerala look like losing the ball, Mehtab steps in and CLATTERS into Milan, with the referee calling for a foul, but not booking him.

...

90+2' Kerala are being rather patient for a side that is desperate for a win, knocking the ball around at the back. Delhi will be quite happy to walk away from this with a point.

...

90' 6 minutes of added time.

...

88' Malouda's free kick is unconvincingly cleared out by Nandy, and Josu leads the counter forward, and his pass to Belfort is promising, but after a clever nutmeg, the forward loses the ball.

...

86' The game is becoming very stretched as both sides go for the kill - German sidesteps a couple of challenges on the edge of the box, but is crowded out, and Delhi can't counter as Marcelinho's pass is misplaced.

...

84' HANDBAGS! Pelisarri hits out at N'doye after both of them challenge for a 50-50 ball on the endge of the box. The referee calms things down, and books Pelisarri

...

83' FANTASTIC DEFENDING! Jhingan saves his goalkeeper from having to make a great  save with a superb clearnace.

...

81' Michael Chopra gets booked for diving, and the replays show that it is a BIG FAT DIVE as he charged into the box and tumbled, but there was zero contact from the defender.

...

80' CHANCE! Kervens Belfort weaved his way past his marker on the left as he profited from a loose ball, but his cross is slightly inaccurate and Delhi clear the ball away from danger.

...

77' Rafique goes down after an agricultural tackle from Malouda and receives treatment. The Blasters have already made three substitutions, and Rafique has to continue.

...

75' Kim Kima comes off for Rupert Nogrum

...

74' AMAZING! Marcelinho does his best Ronaldinho impression, as he weaves his way past 3 defenders on the left edge of the box with some dancing quick feet, but his cross is cleared with disdain by Jhingan.

...

74' The game has surprisingly slowed way down, as the players conserve their energy for a final push.

...

70' WAS THAT A PENALTY?! Badji runs into the box and goes down under pressure from N'doye, but replays show that was 50-50, as there was contact, but not enough to have Badji fall to the floor in that manner.

...

69' A promising move from Delhi breaks down after Marcelinho's intelligent backheel finds Badji clear in the box, but he is pulled up for offside.

...

68' Pelissari's first contribution is a late, and clumsy tackle on Pratik.

...

66' Bruno Pelissari comes on for Kean Lewis.

...

64' WHAT A CHANCE! German gets to a cross from the right and the ball deflects of his foot into Chopra's path. The Englishman is two yards from goal and heads the ball wide, but he is thankful as he was pulled up for offside.

...

63' Cedric Hengbart comes off for Elhadji N'doye. A good move from Coppell there, saving his captain who was a rash tackle away from being sent off. Hengbart receives treatment on the bench, so that was probably due to an injury.

...

62' Jose Currais begins another attack from the left, and German charges at the Delhi defence, before earning a corner with a shot that is blocked. Currais takes the set-piece, but uncharacteristically plays the ball out of play.

...

59' Should Hengbart be off? The Kerala captain was booked in the game earlier for dissent and takes down Badji from behind on the right wing, but the referee just has a word with him.

...

57' Great play from Duckens Nazon as he spreads the play to Rafique on the right edge of the box, and he responds with great control, but opts against crossing since no one madea run into the box and keeps posession as the danger recedes.

...

55' We can comfortably expect 5+ minutes of injury time, as Poirei takes a goal-kick to resume the game.

...

54' Doblas comes off and exchanges a couple of unfair words with Sandesh Jhingan. The keeper is replaced by 23-year-old Soiram Poirei.

...

52' Zambrotta tells his second-choice keeper to put his kit on. That's Doblas' game over, as he spits out some blood.

...

51' That's good to see.. Doblas is back on his feet again, but it remains to be seen if he is able to continue. Delhi will be hoping he can recover, as their custodian has made some great saves so far, keeping his side in the game.

...

50' Doblas is still injured, and the replays show that he took a bad blow to his head. Hopefully, it's not serious.

...

47' Doblas comes out for a free-kick and gets to Corrais' set piece but takes a hit from Rocha. The game stops as he receives treatment.

...

46' Josu Corrais clears the corner and Kerala have a great chance to send Chopra in acres of space clear on the left as they counter, but Rocha intercepts the ball and saves Delhi.

...

46' PEEP PEEP PEEP! Delhi get us underway and straightaway earn a corner!

...

It has taken 225 minutes of ISL 2016 for Kerala Blasters to have their first shot on target, with Michael Chopra's effort in the 45th minute saved by Doblas.

...

Kerala Blasters have had 68% of the possession so far. No doubt which team has been better, but this came out of nowhere - Delhi look a shadow of the side that defeated the champions, Chennaiyin FC a few days ago. Perhaps the travel has affected them?
