Blasters sink deeper
Kerala Blasters still without a win at home this season, while Goa continue their juggernaut. After a below-par show in their previous game, Ferran Corominas was back at his best and rightfully among the goals. Manvir Singh too shared the limelight as he scored his first-ever ISL goal.
The Blasters, meanwhile, were disappointing to say the least. The attack lacked the edge, while the defence continued to be leaky, allowing the opponents enough time and space on the ball throughout the game. All in all, a good outing for the tourists, not so much for the home team. Their dicey run continues this season.
That's all for tonight. We'll be back when India travel to Jordan for their friendly game in a few days time. This is Naveen signing off. Have a great week and enjoy the beautiful game.
It ends Kerala Blaster 1-3 FC Goa.

90+2 They get something
Finally, finally.. The Blasters have something to talk about.
It's a Sandesh Jhingan cross, yes we aren't kidding, that's turned in by Nikola Krcmarevic to reduce the deficit.
But, truth be told, it's too little too late.
If you were wondering why we didn't have any update so far, that's because there's nothing great to write about. Goa has continued to be the better side and Kerala, to say they were disappointing could be an understatement.
84' Vineeth tries his luck
That's more out of hope than purpose. The Kerala man has been nothing short of a disappointment in the limited opportunity he's got tonight. More than Vineeth wanting to leave the Blasters next season, it's the club should get rid of him if they are to have any quality up front.
80' Hugo Boumous
This man needs to keep his calm. Needless booking that. That's like the Delhi-wala aggression that's done no one to any good.
76' Substituion for FC Goa
IN: Miguel Palanca
OUT: Ahmed Jahouh
71' Acrobatics on display
Nawaz is called into action. That was poor from Pena, he should have done better. Doungel is on his toes to steal it from the Goan and shoots from distance and forces a good diving save from Nawaz.
71' Substitution for Kerala Blasters
IN: CK Vineeth
OUT: Prashanth K
67' And that's the third for Goa
There's no stopping Goa here. And for a change, it's not Coro. Boumous swings the corner in from the left and he finds Manvir Singh in the middle. He rises and heads it powerfully into the back of the net.
67' They come again
Goa isn't done yet. Brandon charges forward on a counter, finds Coro with Jhingan breathing down his throat. The Spaniards does well to lay it up for Boumous who take a first time shot at goal. But Naveen Kumar is up to the task to deny the winger.
63' HAT-TRICK, Almost!!!
This man seems to be in some mood tonight. Coro wriggles around inside the Kerala box to find some space and unleashes a powerful shot. But Naveen Kumar is up to the task this time. Thwarts the attempt with a fine punch low to his right to deny the league's top scorer.
61' Substitution for FC Goa
IN: Hugo Boumous
OUT: Edu Bedia
57' Substitution for FC Goa
IN: Manvir Singh
OUT: Jackichand Singh
51' Edu Bedia
Unnecessary that from the Goan skipper. A tackle from behind will always see you booked.
And my word, Kerala try to make the most of the resulting free-kick.
A powerful low shot from Len Doungel is spotted by Nawaz and is parried away to safety.
50' Renewed energy
Kerala look bright in the initial period of this half. And that's not just because of their bright shirt. A few probing passes here and there, but nothing worth testing and worrying the Goan back-line. Nevertheless, it's a start. They need more of this.
46' Substitution for Kerala
IN: Cyril Kali
OUT: Mohamad Rakip
46' We're back!!!
Second half gets underway and Kerala know they need something special to overturn this deficit.
That's been some half for the Goans. Nothing going as per plan for David James' Kerala Blasters.
Can they change things around?
Kerala 0-2 Goa
45+2 Coro adds another one
If there was anyone who could have done this, then that's Coro.
The Goan defence finds the Spaniard on a counter, he races ahead, hoodwinks his marker, opens up his body at the last moment to curl in a perfect shot to double Goa's lead at the stroke of half-time.
Kerala in deep deep trouble...
44' Substitution for Kerala
IN: Seiminlen Doungel
OUT: Slavisa Stojanovic
42' Jahouh from a distance
Moroccan Jahouh wrestles past his marker and takes a hit at the Kerala goal, but his strike is some distance away from the frame.
38' Shouldn't they try something else?
Kerala trying to work their way through the midfield. But with people like Edu Bedia, Ahmed Jahouh and Lenny Rodrigues there, we're not surprised that they are finding it a tad bit difficult.
A direct approach, may be?
34' Is it FC Goa or a Spanish side?
The Goans have had 64% of the ball so far. And every time they end up losing it, there's someone in white closing down on the ones in yellow. Not letting them have any...
32' Kerala need quick answers
Goa happy to settle into the game. They're enjoying the majority of the possession and are happy to sit back and wait for an opening. But the hosts needs to push their case if they are to get anything from this game.
28' Chose your side
After the initial few foray, the games seems to have settled into its pace.
It's pretty feisty out there and we're sure everyone is having a great time. Both sides are playing at a good intensity and trying to make things happen.
25' Ohh Coro
Edu Bedia, this time, tries to set up Coro with a cross from the left. But the Spaniard's snap-shot sees the ball sailing over.
19' End to end action
It's at the other end this time. Brandon Fernandes comes up with a well-weighed cross for Coro, who does well to get between the two Kerala centre-backs. But Jhingan is up to the task, throwing in one of his trade-mark slides to push the ball for a corner. There's a reason why the cameramen love this fellow.

17' Almost the equaliser
What a moment that. Narzary is sent through on the right and the winger makes no mistake in taking on the defender with his pace. Though for a moment it looked like he would sneak ahead and test Nawaz, Seriton Fernandes does well to put in a well-timed tackled to avert the danger.
11' Goa sneak ahead
Where did that come from.
All of Kerala's initial hard work is undone with that.
It all starts from a corner for Goa. The initial attempt is dealt with, but Jahouh is first to the lose ball and whips in a fine cross.
Coro is the first to that and makes no mistake to guide it in with a fine header.
5' Kerala come close
Kerala the better of the two sides in these opening exchanges.
And rightfully come close to testing Md Nawaz in the Goa goal.
Jahouh is caught inside his own box, Kizito does well to steak the ball and charge towards the goal, but Nawaz is quick to get off his lines to avert the threat.
1' We're underway

National Anthem, DONE!
Handshakes, DONE!!
Let's get started...
Moments away...
The teams all set to walk out to the middle. Don't go anywhere, the kick-off is next. This has all the making of being a crazy game. #KELGOA
James sounds confident
"Very happy with the way the players have responded to a new philosophy at the club (Kerala Blasters). Yes, we want to win the league, we want to win every match we play. But we are looking at long term goal here. And I am happy with the way the things have panned out so far," says the Blasters head coach David James.
They were all YELLOW!!!
The two sides are at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium. Warm-ups are on as the stands are busy turning into a see of yellow. Surely a sight to behold for all the Cold Play fans.
Time to make this count
After missing the last season to a serious injury Anas Edathodika is set to make his Blasters debut. The Malappuram man will be eager to make this count, especially with the all-important AFC Asian Cup 2019 fast approaching.

Line-ups next!!!

The next order of business, line-up...
All eyes on Bedia
The Spaniard took 3 shots in Goa's game against Delhi Dynamos, all 3 were on target and he scored 2 goals including the match winner in the 89th minute.
Badia, Bedia!!! (Pardon the pun)
It's not all about Coro
Talking a bit about Kerala Blasters' opponents for the evening, FC Goa.
While Ferran Corominas might have been getting the headlines for all the good and bad reasons, Goa is not just about this Spaniard.
Staking a claim for himself is Edu Bedia. He's scored four times and assisted once so far this season and will be eager to add a lot more to that tally.
Not a fortress
Of the 12 matches played at Kochi last season, the Blasters could only win two, drawing seven and losing the remaining three.
The poor run at home has meant that the players have come under some serious criticism.
From local boy to CK Vineeth to the foreign recruits, no one has been spared by the Manjappada.
But are the Kerala faithful going a bit too far? Check out this account from Deepak P.

The Blasters have had a torrid time at home so far. Since last season, they have managed to win just two matches in Kochi.
Kerala Blasters vs FC Goa - Probable XI

Kerala Blasters FC: Naveen Kumar (GK), Nemanja Lakic-Pesic, Cyril Kali, Mohamad Rakip, Sandesh Jhingan, Nikola Krcmarevic, Seiminlen Doungel, Sahal Abdul Samad, Slavisa Stojanovic, Matej Poplatnik, CK Vineeth

FC Goa: Mohammad Nawaz (GK), Chinglensana Singh, Mourtada Fall, Seriton Fernandes, Mandar Rao Dessai, Hugo Boumous, Ahmed Jahouh, Lenny Rodrigues, Edu Bedia, Jackichand Singh, Ferran Corominas
It's a game that has never failed to disappoint, and we expect nothing less when Kerala Blasters hosts FC Goa in their Indian Super League game later tonight. But before that, here's a look at the head-to-head record between the two sides.
An high scoring affair this...
Kerala Blasters vs FC Goa Preview

Kerala Blasters will hope to get their campaign back on track after that disappointing loss to Bengaluru FC. They will come up against the high-scoring FC Goa, who rallied to defeat Delhi Dynamos 3-2 last week, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi tonight.

David James' side have seen mixed fortunes in the ISL. After a confident win over ATK in their opener and a bunch of draws, it's back to square one for the Blasters.

Sergio Lobera's FC Goa relies on playing attacking football, which leaves their defence wide open for counter attacks. The strike force, comprising Ferran Corominas, Jackichand Singh and Edu Bedia have been amongst the goals for Goa. They have scored 18 goals in the campaign with Corominas accounting for six of them.

On the flipside, the defence is the most worrying department for the Gaurs as they have conceded 11 goals so far in the campaign. Mandar Rao Dessai, a makeshift full-back has been unable to track back and fortify their defenses while there is no established name to partner Mortauda Fall at the central defence.

This could make it all easy for the Blasters, who are good on the counter. CK Vineeth has scored vital goals on certain occasions and the passing by Seiminlen Doungel and Sahal Samad is delightful to watch. Forward Slavisla Stojanovic needs to show better composure in front of the goal.

Sandesh Jhingan and Nemanja Lakic-Pesic will have their hands full against the constant threat of Coro & Co tonight. The Blasters have lost out on five points this season due to goals conceded in the last few minutes of regulation time.

That, and the fact that they have not won at home yet this season will give the Kerala Blasters plenty to fight for against FC Goa.

When and where to watch: The live streaming of the Kerala Blasters vs FC Goa game will be available on Hotstar and Jio TV. The game will also be telecast on the Star Sports Network and Raj TV. Kickoff is at 7.30 PM IST.
