KER vs JAM Match Result -
Kerala Blasters
1 - 1
S. Doungel 77'
66' Carlos Calvo (P)
Full time in Kochi and Kerala Blasters still haven't won at home.
Even this game, they were lucky to come away with a 1-1 result. They conceded first through a penalty that was calmly converted by Carlos Calvo. This was after a questionable decision by the referee, who pointed to the spot despite the contact by Dheeraj on Cahill made outside the area.
Then, Doungel, who missed two open-goal chances, finds the net finally for the equaliser.
Jamshedpur were close to score in the dying minutes but Kerala held on for their sixth draw of the season.
Jamshedpur too are not new to draws. Their is their seventh draw in 11 games.
That's it from me, Aravind. Log onto Sportskeeda for our full coverage. See ya!
90+6' Last opportunity of the game.
Jhingan gives away a corner and he had to.
Kerala have conceded many times like this.
Fantastic diving save by Dheeraj to deny Jamshedpur. That will be the last action from the match.
90+4' WASTED!
Jamshedpur FC's Carlos Calvo with a poor finish. Robin Gurung plays it out for the midfielder on the left. He's in the box and can choose between the goal and a pass. He goes for goal in two minds and it's over the bar.
90+3' TIRI!
And Sandesh Jhingan with a wonderful ball from the right for Kerala Blasters at the target Stojanovic. But Tiri comes forward and skips it away for a throw-in. If not for that interception, that would have been a goal.
90+2' CK Vineeth takes the ball from Poplatnik and shoots from outside the box. The ball is deflected on its way to Subrata, who collects it comfortably.
Five minutes added.
90' Really bad pass from Cahill.
The counter was on and it looked promising. Three players on either side for Jamshedpur but Cahill drags it along and gives it away.
88' SAVE!
And Dheeraj with the save that gives Kerala one point from this game.
Farukh Choudhary, from the right, tries to find the far corner with his left foot but Dheeraj stands in the way.
87' Last few minutes of the game but Kerala haven't given up yet.
It appears that the fans too haven't given up on them. Despite the call for boycott, 8,451 still turned up at the stadium to cheer Blasters.
Stojanovic is sent clear with a wonderful through-ball by Courage and he's free of his defenders but Bikash Jairu rolls in with a sliding tackle to block the shot and parry the chance.
82' Another questionable call by this ref.
CK Vineeth is pushed, rather knocked down, at the centre of the pitch by Robin Gurung but the foul goes against Kerala Blasters.
80' Final change for Kerala Blasters. David James makes an attacking change in search of a winner.
OFF - Sahal Samad
ON - Matej Poplatnik
79' CLOSE!
Kerala really riding on the momentum here. Another free-kick, this time rolled in by Zakeer, is headed to the centre by Sandesh Jhingan.
Lakic-Pesic just puts his leg out but that poke is just wide of the goal.
The corner is played back in and Stojanovic glances it for Sandesh Jhingan and Doungel in the box.
Doungel beats his marker Jairu and can finally put it into the net with a simple tap-in
And you can only blame Kerala Blasters for putting themselves in this situation.
Doungel's take is cleared off the line by Tiri.
74' Another injury forces Zuala off the pitch now for Jamshedpur FC. That's their third change.
OFF - Malsawmzuala
ON - Farukh Choudhary
71' Kerala have those players who can score late in the game. There's CK Vineeth and Stojanovic is also back. But these guys haven't had the best conversion rates, which has seen Kerala drop a lot of points in the ISL.
Will it be different tonight?
That's easily converted by Carlos Calvo and Kerala Blasters are left thinking what could have been.
Dheeraj dives the right way - to his right - but that powerful spot-kick by Calvo has already gone past him into the top corner.'
You wonder why Tim Cahill didn't step up to take that penalty but if you saw Calvo's take, you will have no second thoughts.
What a powerful and precise shot, no chance for the young keeper.
66' And Dheeraj will be booked for that foul.
Yellow - Dheeraj Singh (Kerala Blasters)
Tim Cahill makes a tricky run to meet that long ball and is brought down by Dheeraj.
Ref takes his time, goes all the way to his assistant - probably to think what to do - and then points to the spot.
Replays show that the contact was made outside the box.
Stojanovic controls the ball quite well inside the box to bring down the cross by Sandesh Jhingan and makes room for the shot. But the hit is directed upward and it flows out for a goal-kick - no wait a corner for Kerala Blasters.
Should have been a goal-kick though.
60' Armed and called.
The ref pulls up Courage Pekuson for a hand-ball but the ball had clearly struck the shoulder of the Kerala Blasters defender.
He argues but it's of no use.
58' SHOT!
Carlos Calvo makes a run down the left and Tiri picks him out with an absolute peach of a pass.
He side-steps inside and takes a poke at the goal but it's straight at Kerala Blasters keeper Dheeraj.
56' Jamshedpur's Robin Gurung, who had a minor issue in the first half after a tussle with Stojanovic, is brought down this time by Vineeth. He needs medical attention but the stoppage won't be for long.
51' The crowd - or what's left of it - gives a rousing welcome to CK Vineeth. Kerala with that change and it seems to be a tactical one.
OFF - Halicharan Narzary
ON - CK Vineeth
48' Kerala Blasters have picked up some momentum from the inspiring first-half performance but the Jamshedpur FC defenders have retreated deep into their own half, giving no room for a shot.
46' Second half underway here. Can Kerala Blasters finally find the back of the net? Jamshedpur, meanwhile, have made a change.
OFF - Mobashir Rahman
ON - Pratik Chowdhary
In front of empty stands of the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi (not Delhi), it's goalless between these two sides.
Kerala Blasters obviously have had more share of the ball and shots on target as well.
Sahal Samad hit the frame, while Seiminlen Doungel was not composed enough to see the ball into the back of the net despite the goalkeeper sidelined after making a block.
Jamshedpur have knocked on the door but haven't been threatening enough to get a goal yet.
The second half could see both teams come out fresh and aim to get the winner here.
Stay tuned.
45+3' Zakeer drops a free-kick at the edge of the box but that will be the last of the chances from the first half.
45' Mario Arques splits the defence up with a pass through the pitch, picking out the run by Jerry.
But the cross by the right winger doesn't quite find the target, Tim Cahill.
Three minutes added.
43' And that will be a booking for Memo, who is cautioned for a handball near the centre of the park.
Yellow - Memo (Jamshedpur FC)
40' Courage is the man on for Kerala Blasters.
OFF - Keziron Kizito
ON - Courage Pekuson
39' After Soosairaj's injury 10 minutes into the game, Keziron Kizito is down with a hamstring problem.
There's activity on the bench.
37' Referee Rahul Kumar Gupta reminds JFC coach Cesar Ferrando who is boss.
Behave or you will be sent off, he says. Ferrando is still furious with the official - also the team maybe.
But still mess it up.
Sahal Samad lobs it deep into the right for Narzary. A delightful ball and a controlled take into the box by the winger.
Stojanovic keeps it alive after Subrata's block for Seiminlen Doungel, who has all the time in the world to take aim and shoot.
But the shot is right at Memo, who deflects it away.
33' JEEEZ! A beautiful pass, a wonderful run.
Cahill turns provider this time and shows the class that he's still got.
The through-ball finds Jerry right in front of him but the winger's first-time effort, having beaten all the Kerala defenders, misses the post.
Careless by Tiri. The JFC defender puts his leg out, quite late, to win the tussle with Stojanovic.
Blasters cannot figure out what to do with the routine and the ball is cleared away.
Not quite.
It falls back to Halicharan Narzary, who has time to place it well but his effort whoops over the crossbar.
27' Oooooo Cayy-hhillll!
Ah, no. It won't be a Cahill's moment of magic this time.
How about that cross by Jerry from the right? The substitute has really taken it upon himself to fill in the shoes of Soosairaj.
His cross picked Cahill well but the Australian couldn't place it in.
25' Blasters' Keziron with a dangerous-looking run again but his attempted pass comes off Tiri. Restart and rebuild.
21' WOODWORK! Can't get any closer than that.
Keziron Kizito keeps going and going until his run is stolen by Mario Arques and then pushed away by JFC goalkeeper Subrata.
But the ball rebounds to Sahal whose first-time shot bounces off the frame. Unlucky!
19' Revenge tackle? Stojanovic and Robin Gurung both go for the ball but the referee pulls the Kerala Blasters' forward up for that outstretched foot.
Yellow - Slavisa Stojanovic (Kerala Blasters)
17' Jamshedpur go on the counter this time but Cyril Kali stops that move with a clumsy tackle on substitute Jerry.
The ball from Carlos Calvo was meant for Tim Cahill but the danger is cleared away.
16' Jamshedpur are building the play from the back. But how much will Soosairaj's early exit cost them?
Kerala steal possession and go on the counter quickly but Len Doungel is unable to make most of the moment.
12' Early blow for the visitors Jamshedpur FC as Michael Soosairaj is forced out with an injury.
OFF - Michael Soosairaj
ON - Jerry Mawhmingthanga
12' Robin Gurung with an unnecessary tackle on Stojanovic outside the box.
But Zakeer's free-kick doesn't go beyond the Jamshedpur FC well.
Kerala need to do better.
Stojanovic with the first opportunity to put Kerala ahead and he disappoints.
Keziron finds Sahal's run and the midfielder goes to the ground and drags the ball inward to find Stojanovic.
Stojanovic aims for the near post but hits the side-netting.
Poor, poor finish.
6' Even the talk during commentary has all been about people not turning up for this game. The commentators are of the view that people should back their team despite their failures.
What do you think? Let us know.
It's raining heavily here in Kochi but that hasn't dampened the spirits of the players.
What has hurt them, probably, is the absence of the most of the Manjappada from the stands.
In case you were wondering why the stands haven't been filled up yet, it's because the Manjappada have decided to boycott the game. Read all about their protest here.
A special night in Kochi as its playing host to Lothar Matthaus, who captained Germany to the 1990 FIFA World Cup title.
When asked about his visit to India, he told Star Sports: "I am interested in Indian football and they (ISL) invited me to come here. I saw the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup which was held here and saw great atmosphere for the games. Indian football is growing. Maybe they can qualify for World Cup. They need time but they are on their way."
As for Blasters, Sandesh Jhingan comes back into the Starting XI for Mohamad Rakip. Nikola Krcmarevic is out and Slavisa Stojanovic is back to lead the attack. Seiminlen Doungel is also in the line-up as Blasters start with only four foreigners.
Tried and tested.
Cesar Ferrando, Jamshedpur FC coach, brings Tim Cahill back into the starting line-up for the big game against Kerala Blasters. Cahill's only goal in the ISL has come against Blasters. Sumeet Passi is on the bench and so is Pablo Morgado.
Malsawmzuala starts and Mobashir Rahman comes into the Playing XI instead of Pratik Choudhary.

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's Live Coverage of the game between Kerala Blasters and Jamshedpur FC. This is Aravind Suchindran and I will stay with you through the next three hours for what is, on paper, a cracker of a contest.
Line-ups next.
Tim factor.
Tim Cahill scored his only ISL goal in the reverse fixture involving the two sides. Jamshedpur FC coach Cesar Ferrando tips the Australian to come good against the Blasters again.
"Tim is playing very well. He came back from Australia ten days ago. I think he will be ready to play tomorrow. We need him. I hope he can play tomorrow," Ferrando said.
Kerala Blasters coach David James says that the team will repay the faith of the Blasters Army Manjappada tonight.
"When the fans are enjoying what they are seeing, that makes sense. I’m a Kerala Blasters fan myself. It's very difficult to watch your team play when they are not doing what you want them to do. We need to be effective now rather than trying to look good. The spirit towards football is so alive here and we have to give them something back. I’m confident that we will get there," James said before the game.
Away woes.
While Kerala have a poor home record, Jamshedpur have won just 3 matches, drawn 3 and lost 3 since the last season. JFC have drawn six matches this season, one more than the entirety of the previous one.
Poor home record.
Kerala Blasters are yet to win at home this season. Out of the four games they played, two have resulted in defeats and two others have been draws.
Last season, the minimum points that was need for the fourth-placed team to qualify  for the ISL playoffs was 30 in 18 matches. In 9 matches so far for Kerala, they have accumulated only 8 points.
Probable XI:

Kerala Blasters: Dheeraj Singh (GK), Nemanja Lakic-Pesic, Sandesh Jhingan, Mohamad Rakip, Anas Edathodika, Cyril Kali, Keziron Kizito, Sahal Abdul Samad, Halicharan Narzary, Zakeer Mundampara, Matej Poplatnik

Jamshedpur FC: Subrata Paul (GK), Pratik Chowdhary, Tiri, Bikash Jairu, Robin Gurung, Mario Arques, Pablo Morgado, Carlos Calvo, Memo, Michael Soosairaj, Sumeet Passi
Kerala Blasters vs Jamshedpur FC preview:

It's been over two months and Kerala Blasters are yet to notch a win in the Indian Super League (ISL) since that opening day victory over ATK in Kolkata.

It's now or never for the Blasters when they host Jamshedpur FC in Kochi later this evening. Currently seventh on the ISL table with one win and five draws in nine matches, the three points will help Blasters close the gap and push for a top-four spot on the table.

However, Jamshedpur are also in contention for a spot in the playoffs and won't be easy for the Blasters to break down.

Given the problems in the forward line that the Blasters are grappling with, closing down matches has been terribly difficult for David James' side. They come off a 0-0 draw with Chennaiyin FC in a Southern Derby but that game posed no challenge for the CFC defence in handling the Blasters' attackers.

Young goalkeeper Dheeraj Singh was able to ward off the many shots that came his way from Chennaiyin FC strikers and he is expected to retain his spot between the posts for the hosts tonight.

Jamshedpur, who have 15 points in 10 games, also come off a 0-0 draw with NorthEast United, a match in which their forwards failed to register any shot on target.

In the absence of Sergio Cidoncha, who is out with injury, the midfield of the Miners doesn't carry the same flair it used to. Sure, Carlos Calvo stepped up in the 3-1 win over Chennaiyin FC before the NEUFC game, but the forwards are the ones who have let the team down. Sumeet Passi needs to be at his clinical best while finishing. Michael Soosairaj, after impressing before the international break, is yet to regain his mojo.

Tim Cahill struck in the reverse fixture at the JRD Tata Sports Complex last time when the two sides met. Can he score his second ISL goal tonight?

When and where to watch: Live streaming on Hotstar and Jio TV. The Kerala Blasters vs Jamshedpur FC game will be telecast on Star Sports Network. The kick off is at 7.30 pm IST.
