Right! That's it from us here at Sportskeeda! Hope you enjoyed our coverage and do stay tuned to Sportskeeda for all the latest news, scores and updates from the ISL! Also, we would be back tomorrow when FC Goa host ATK at Fatorda!

Till then, this is Shashwat Kumar signing off! Goodbye and goodnight!
PEEEEEEEPPPPP!!! The referee blows the whistle and the teams end the game deadlocked at 2-2!

The sides finish the game just as they started as Jamshedpur threw away a two-goal cushion in the final quarter of an hour. After the visitors had surged ahead through Piti and Vineeth, they were pegged back by a brace by Messi, who ensured that his team's dominance in the second half paid off.

More worryingly for the away outfit though, they seemed to wilt under pressure in the final fifteen minutes as they wasted another opportunity to perch themselves atop the ISL table.

As for the hosts, they would be delighted with their ability to claw their way back into the game while the instant impact of Sahal off the bench would also have been extremely refreshing. However, they would've loved to have emerged with all three points, a sight that could've been possible had they not shot themselves in the foot earlier in the encounter.

Having said that though, one reckons the home side might just be the happier bunch after the stalemate, especially after trailing for large swatches of the contest
90+3' The corner is cleared partially and falls to Seityasen who absolutely leathers his shot towards goal. But, Robin stands firmly in line and heads it away
90+2' Jeakson lines up a speculative shot from distance and it takes a massive deflection as Kerala have another corner
90+1' Sahal again takes a competent first touch and creates space for himself on the edge of the box. The Indian then tries to smash it past the keeper but scuffs his shot as Subrata collects it easily
90' Change for Jamshedpur! Aniket Jadhav comes on for Isaac!
90' Samuel lines up a shot and it just bounces in front of Subrata, forcing him to parry it rather than catch it. Fortunately for the keeper, he gets it away enough to not allow Messi a shot at goal
88' GOOOOAAAAALLLLLLL!! Messi smashes the penalty home!
Messi steps up and absolutely hammers his penalty into the top corner. He displayed extreme confidence and it was hit with such venom that even two keepers might not have been able to save it. As the commentator put it, a strike worthy of the name on the back of his shirt!
86' Penalty for the Blasters! Drama in Kochi!
Seityasen strides into the box and Robin just barges him off the ball. There was a bit of shoulder in it and wasn't a stone-walled penalty. Probably a 50-50 decision. Anyway, Messi to take the spot kick
85' Messi fluffs his lines!
Sahal again creates space for himself and dinks the ball for Messi to run onto. The striker gets goal-side of the defenders but makes a hash of his attempted header as it goes across the box rather than towards goal
84' Jessel gives the ball away and nearly invites Jamshedpur for another attack. But, Prasanth tracks back and takes the ball off Farukh to relieve pressure
83' Chance for Jamshedpur!
Vineeth gets past his man on the left flank and fizzes a cross across the six-yard box. Passi stretches every muscle of his body to get on the end of it but it just evades him
82' Robin gives the ball away and Kerala are on the attack again. Prasanth finds Samuel on the edge of the box but the Jamshedpur midfielders do just enough to clear the danger
81' Change for Kerala! Rakip is replaced by Samuel!
80' Prasanth strides forward on the left but a lack of support forces him to go backwards. Kerala recycle the ball and try to play it long but it comes to nothing as Jamshedpur come away with it
79' Carneiro proceeds down the left flank but he can't pick out Seityasen as Monroy gets back to pokes the ball towards the keeper
75' GOOOOAAAAAALLLLL! Messi pulls one back!
Sahal finds himself in space on the right edge of the penalty area and the Indian clips in a sumptuous cross to the back post. Messi rises high above Memo and Robin and powers his header into the back of the net. Game on!
72' GOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLL! CK Vineeth scores!! Would you believe it!
Vineeth plays a beautiful one-two with Farukh on the left channel and proceeds into the box. He looks up, spots the keeper off his front post and squeezes the ball into the near corner. What a pass and what a finish! Not the most brilliant bit of goalkeeping though!
And, Vineeth is back to haunt his old club!
70' Arques stings Subrata's palms from the edge of the box. The shot was struck cleanly and came through a crowd of players. Top save from the Jamshedpur keeper
69' Messi is thwarted by Subrata!
Messi makes a run into the left-sided channel and he is fed by Sahal. However, the ball is just a little ahead and that allows the keeper to cut down the angle as Messi only manages a shot straight into Subrata's midriff

69' Passi tries to link-up with Farukh but the latter is just a touch sluggish as the ball speeds away from him
67' Arques heads over!
Raju's throw-in is headed on by Jeakson and it falls to Arques who just loops his header over the bar
66' Sahal dances past a couple of challenges and gets a shot at goal. But, his strike is charged down swiftly by Tiri
64' Change for Jamshedpur! CK Vineeth replaces Piti!
Piti doesn't look happy coming off!
63' Change for Kerala! Prasanth comes on for Narzary!
61' Another good bit of work by Sahal helps him pick out Rakip on the right wing. The full-back gets his cross in and it is cleared partially by Tiri before it falls to Carneiro on the edge of the box. The Indian fires in a venomous shot but Robit gets his head in the way
60' Raju clips in a cross from the right flank and Subrata just gets under the flight of the ball slightly. He ends up flapping at it but gets enough of a fist to parry it away from Messi
58' Jeakson finds Narzary on the left with a smashing cross-field pass but the latter's endeavours are thwarted by the combination of Robin and Jitendra
57' Isaac plays a good one-two with Farukh before whipping in a cross into the centre. Unfortunately for the visitors though, Carneiro reads the trajectory of the ball to head it away
55' Sahal shows some nifty footwork to get past his marker and he nearly finds Seityasen on the right with his pass. A promising start for the youngster
54' Sahal replaces Cido!
54' Another snappy foul by Messi and he finally gets booked for persistent fouling.

Yellow for Messi!
53' To pile further misery on Kerala, their skipper, Cido seems to have aggravated an ankle injury and looks on the verge of being replaced by Sahal. However, the possible introduction of the Indian has gotten the home crowd going
50' Kerala miss a couple of gilt-edged chances!
Narzary finds some space on the right flank and curls in a devilish cross for Arques. But, the midfielder swipes at thin air and fails to make contact. The ball makes its way to Cido as the Spaniard sets himself up for a left-footed shot but beats the far post
49' Kerala line up another long throw-in from the right flank. Gaikwad's delivery is good but it is cleared eventually by the visiting defence
48' Robin tries to play the ball over the top to Farukh but the ball just skips off the surface and is gobbled up easily by Rehenesh
46' Messi goes in late on Tiri and catches him as the latter tries to hoof the ball clear
PEEEEEPPPP! Kerala get us underway in the second half!
Peeeeeeeppppp! The referee blows the whistle and Jamshedpur head into the break with a one-goal lead!

The first half, apart from a few moments, didn't really spark into life as both teams failed to assert themselves adequately. However, Jamshedpur looked the brighter of the two as their passing was just a touch crisper as opposed to the hosts.

Unsurprisingly, the opening 45 minutes also had its fair share of controversy courtesy a couple of penalties. While the penalty awarded to Jamshedpur was perhaps the right call, the decision to not hand the hosts a penalty in the dying stages seemed slightly dubious.

Do join us in a while for the 2nd half!
45+2' Isaac gives the ball away to Cido and the Spaniard jinks his way on the right flank before crossing for Messi. The strikes gets ahead of Robin and the defender seems to bring him down. But, the referee waives away the hosts' claims. Wow!
45+2' Another Kerala attack is snuffed out as Tiri gets the ball off Messi
A minimum of two minutes to be added on!
45' Another long spell of possession for Kerala before they play in Messi. The striker does extremely well to get around Memo and get his foot to the ball. But, rather surprisingly, the referees blows the whistle and awards a free-kick to Jamshedpur
43' Arques finds Narzary on the left and gets into the box to receive the pass. The latter finds him but the former can't generate enough power to trouble the keeper
41' Seityasen clips in the free-kick but it is easily cleared by Narender. Jamshedpur spring a break instantly and Farukh finds Isaac on the left edge of the box. However, the latter's shot is blocked superbly as Kerala breathe a sigh of relief
40' Carnerio advances down the left flank and tries to feed Messi. But, Tiri is on hand to clear the danger. The resulting phase of play leads to a foul by Jamshedpur and the hosts have a free-kick to peg the visitors back
38' GOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL!! Piti puts Jamshedpur ahead!
Piti runs up and cheekily dinks the penalty down the middle, leaving Rehenesh looking at it in awe. How's that for a bit of composure!
36' Seityasen gives away a cheap corner courtesy a silly mistake. The resulting corner is hoisted into the box where Drobarov manhandles Tiri and eventually, pulls him down.

And, the referee points to the spot! Quite a brave decision but one that was warranted!
35' Kerala keep possession for a while before Arques decides to directly play it into touch. A very sub-standard beginning to the encounter for both sides
33' Cido finally finds some space in midfield and he takes a couple of touches before finding Seityasen on the right flank. The Indian cuts inside and gets his shot away but it is blocked easily
32' Another giveaway by Jamshedpur and this time, it's Memo Moura's turn to indulge in the same
31' Piti plays the ball into space behind Carneiro and the full-back nearly makes a meal of his clearance. Eventually though, he gets ahead of Farukh and gets the ball away to safety
30' Neither team has settled into a real rhythm so far and both have been searching for openings to carve out the opposition rear-guard. Having said that though, there have been a couple of presentable chances for each side
27' Passi goes in late on Cido and goes into the referee's book. Not the hardest decision the referee would have to make today.

Yellow for Sumeet Passi!
26' Farukh again breaks the off-side trap and is on the verge of getting on the end of a through-ball. But, Rehenesh springs off his line to come out and clear the danger
23' Chance for Farukh!
Narender is found expertly on the left wing by Isaac and the left-back proceeds towards the box before curling the ball into the area for Farukh. The latter makes a desperate attempt to get on the end of it but the ball just slides off his studs as the chance comes to nothing.
21' Jeakson skips past a challenge and finds Messi. But, the striker again can't keep hold of it and gives it away. Seityasen makes an over-eager attempt to win it back and subsequently, commits a foul
19' Jamshedpur opt for the high press and that just allows Kerala to break through the lines. They try to feed Messi but his touch just lets him down as Jamshedpur bring the ball away
18' Kerala keep the possession for another period and switch it from the right ti the left. But, rather than proceeding forward, they retreat and they start again
15' Rehenesh is again caught in two minds as Isaac's clipped through ball nearly finds Farukh. The ball just held in the surface and that allowed the forward a sniff. Nevertheless, Rehenesh showcased enough composure to take a touch and then drop on the ball
15' Piti whips in a wonderful free-kick from the left flank but it evades everyone as Messi eventually gets a toe to put it out into touch
13' Jamshedpur give away the ball again as Narender is just caught on his heels on the left flank and he fails to cover the requisite ground to get on the end of Tiri's pass. It has been a sloppy start by both sides
12' The corner by Carneiro is shocking as it fails to clear the first man and Jamshedpur get it away easily
11' Narzary strides through midfield and then picks out Messi on the left flank. The striker tries to return the favour but his attempt is cut out by Monroy, as the ball goes out for a corner
10' A raking cross-field pass finds Narender on the left flank. But, the defender, in his attempt to pick out Farukh, horribly misplaces it as the ball goes out for a goal-kick
8' Monroy loses the ball to Jeakson and the latter plays in Messi. The striker takes a couple of touches before blazing it wildly over the bar
7' A scrappy passage of play comes to an end with Kerala winning a throw-in after bumping the ball into Piti
4' Chance for Mario Arques!
A slight moment of hesitation by Narender allows Seityasen to dispossess him and proceed towards goal. The winger whips in a delicious cross for Arques but the midfielder can only muster a tame header. He was even unmarked in the box. Massive chance gone begging for the hosts
3' Farukh turns in midfield and feeds the ball to the onrushing Robin Gurung. But, Kerala get hold of the ball and string a couple of passes before Cido loses it and commits a foul
2' Kerala win the ball in midfield and shift it towards the right-flank where Rakip tries to take on Narender. But, he gets outpaced by the latter as Jamshedpur win the ball back
1' Rehenesh takes an untidy first touch as the ball is rolled back to him. He nearly gets charged down by Piti but is lucky that the deflection takes it behind for a goal kick. Not the start he would have been looking for
Peeeepppp!! Jamshedpur get us underway!
The teams walk out for the national anthems! And, they are accompanied by members of the Blind Indian Football Team! What a classy gesture!
After a couple of ordinary outings, Kerala have decided to drop Sahal. It would be interesting to see how they cope up on the creative front and who provides Messi Bouli with the requisite ammunition
Head to Head Record!
Kerala Blasters have never beaten Jamshedpur FC in the ISL, with the pair playing out 3 stalemates among the four fixtures that they've played. The other encounter finished in Jamshedpur's favour.

Last season, the teams engaged themselves in a 2-2 draw in Jamshedpur whereas a 1-1 score-line prevailed in Kochi.

Can the Blasters break their duck against Jamshedpur tonight? Stay tuned to find out!
Team News!!

Kerala Blasters XI: TP Rehenesh (GK), Mohamad Rakip, Raju Gaikwad, Jessel Carneiro, Vlatko Drobarov, Mario Arques, Seityasen Singh, Halicharan Narzary, Sergio Cidoncha (C), Jeakson Singh, Messi Bouli

Jamshedpur FC XI: Subrata Paul (GK), Tiri (C), Narender Gahlot, Robin Gurung, Jitendra Singh, Aitor Monroy, Memo Moura, Isaac Vanmalsawma, Piti, Sumeet Passi, Farukh Choudhary
But, more tellingly, the encounter on Friday has the potential to morph into a game that could potentially end Kerala’s hopes of making the top four. And, while Jamshedpur aren’t in as perilous a predicament, even they wouldn’t want to start slipping down. After all, the ISL and most competitive leagues don’t allow an outfit arrest a slide on a slippery slope.
Moreover, the injuries to Piti and Sergio Castel have rid significantly rid the side of their cutting edge in attack. And, while Farukh Choudhary has stepped up admirably, the support cast of CK Vineeth and Sumeet Passi haven’t exactly hit the ground running.

Thus, perhaps for the first time in the 2019-20 edition, Jamshedpur FC travel with discernible flaws to iron out. Yet, with them specialising in the same over the past couple of seasons, it would be extremely naïve to expect them to fold at Kochi.
A couple of draws in their previous two encounters have meant that Jamshedpur FC have squandered a couple of opportunities to perch themselves atop the ISL table. However, courtesy the patchy form of those above them, they still find themselves with a shout of achieving the above on Friday.

Having said that though, the contest at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium signals the beginning of a rather tough period of fixtures, with the eastern outfit slated to play 4 games out of their next 5 on the road.
Thus, the Blasters come into the encounter with more palpable questions than answers, a prospect Schattorie wouldn’t particularly relish. Yet, slightly fortunately, they lock horns against a Jamshedpur side that has recently lost its way just a tad.
Moreover, their effervescent attacking talents have blown more cold than hot, meaning that a lot of onus has fallen on the likes of Bartholomew Ogbeche and Messi Bouli. Sahal Abdul Samad, despite his unquestionable talent, has again faced the ire of the media for his inability to deliver consistently whereas the absence of a certain Sandesh Jhingan has also dampened their defensive solidity.
So far, the Blasters have only managed 6 points in 8 games, a start that has seen them languishing at 8th spot. Consequently, there have been a plethora of possible issues that have been chalked out, none more than their inability to combine an end product with competent build-up play.

Over the course of the opening half of the tournament, the Kochi-based outfit has looked decent in possession, although their goal tally reflects otherwise. Unsurprisingly, Eelco Schattorie has found it hard to ingrain his philosophy on a bunch of footballers that the Dutchman had deemed to have never been coached before.
A day after off-field protests in Guwahati marred the decorum of the city and an ISL fixture, the attention now shifts to the relatively serene surroundings of Kochi, a city that usually turns up vociferously for footballing extravaganzas.

And, on Friday, that kind of a carnival could be in store for the Manjapadda as the Kerala Blasters hope to resurrect a rather stumbling campaign and give those in attendance something to cheer about.
Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the ISL fixture between the Kerala Blasters and Jamshedpur FC! I am Shashwat Kumar and I will be taking you through the build-up and the entirety of the contest! Do stay tuned!
