Real Madrid now have a 3 point lead at the top with 8 games remaining in the campaign for the Santiago Bernabeu outfit. It is their title to lose and Zinedine Zidane is not someone who would let go of a lead like that. But this is modern football and anything is possible. Plus there is that El Clasico yet to be played and a lot hinges on it. If Real Madrid win that, the La Liga title is their, Barcelona on the other hand would be wondering what went wrong.
...
Barcelona were in the driving seat before former La Masia graduate Sandro Ramirez scored against the side he bid adieu in the summer. It was always going to be tough for Barcelona after that, but it got worse as Neymar was sent off for a second bookable offense. It was difficult with 10-men, it became impossible with 11.
...
That is all. Barcelona's title chances are all but over. They find themselves 3 points behind Real Madrid, with Los Blancos having played a game less. After the Santiago Bernabeu outfit drew against Atletico Madrid earlier in the day, the onus was on Luis Enrique's side to secure a win and go ahead of their arch-rivals in the La Liga table, but it was not meant to be. Carlos Kameni has kept his 7th clean sheet against the Catalan giants what an achievement. I am not sure, but even the great Iker Casillas has a worse record than Kameni against Barcelona.

90+4' FULL-TIME: MALAGA 2-0 BARCELONA
...
90+3' Before this match Malaga had won only 2 of their last 19 matches, now after tonight they have won two on the trot. What a turnaround.
...
90' 4 minutes of added time.
...
This is a huge huge goal in the context of La Liga. Jhony buries it from close range after a classic counter attack by Malaga.  This game is over and with that Barcelona's title hopes are gone too.
...
90' GOAAALLLLL!!! JHONY MAKES IT 2-0. BARCELONA ARE OUT OF THE TITLE RACE!
...
88' Mascherano plays a delightful through ball to Suarez, whose first-time shot is straight at Kameni. Nothing is going in Barcelona's favour.
...
87' YELLOW CARD: Mascherano is booked for a foul on Charles.
...
Time is running out on Barcelona, their title hopes is fading with it.
...
83' Substitution: Jonathan Rodriguez comes on to replace Juan Carlos Perez.
...
82' YELLOW CARD: Juankar is booked for a cynical foul.
...
79' Messi crashes his free-kick against the wall as he was hoping to get it underneath a jumping wall, but the wall didn't jump and Barcelona are sweating. The league is slipping away from their grasp.
...
78' Barcelona look clueless at the moment. Wait, the Catalans have a free-kick on the edge of the box after Roberto was fouled inside the box. Messi stands over it.
...
77' Substitution: Charles Dias comes on in place of Sandro Ramirez.
...
75' Sandro skins Mascherano but the attack comes to nothing. Messi is being hounded by Malaga players and he not afforded any room to have any effect on the game.
...
74' Sandro stands over it and tries to bend it over the wall but he can't beat his former teammates and Barca threaten to break on the counter. But only threaten as Malaga regroup. The man advantage is showing now.
...
73' PENALTY, no oh wait, free-kick on the edge of the box for Malaga.
...
72' Penaranda has the ball into the back of the net after rounding off Ter Stegen but the Malaga man is offside and Barcelona have a life-line. They need it.
...
Penaranda just came on in place of Anor and goes into the referee's books.
...
70' YELLOW CARD: Penaranda is booked for an apparent foul on Umtiti.
...
68' Camacho fouls Roberto and Barca have a free-kick some 35 yards from goal, can Messi bury it?
...
The Brazilian was already on a yellow and now he has to go after a reckless lunge on Llorente. The task was already tough for Barcelona and now it is next to impossible. All eyes on Lionel Messi now.
...
66' RED CARD: NEYMAR: HUGE BLOW FOR BARCELONA. NEYMAR is sent off for a foul on Diego Llorente and Barcelona are down to 10-men.
...
65' Barcelona have a chance after Kameni races clear to block Suarez - who is on the byline, the Uruguayan takes a lot of time to release the ball and another chance goes begging.
...
62' Substitution: Paco Alcacer comes on to replace Andre Gomes. Another dismal outing for the Portuguese who is struggling to establish himself at Camp Nou.
...
62' Barcelona have let slip away a brilliant opportunity. Messi released Neymar into the box down the left and the Brazilian squares the ball for Suarez, who is too shy to hit it first time and lets it roll to the one behind him. Unfortunately for Barcelona, there's no one behind him and Malaga clear.
...
Messi is playing very deep on the right, too deep for anyone's liking. He is involved in the play but he is to far out of the box to make an impact.
...
57' Malaga have a good chance after Sandro plays a square ball to Anor at the edge of Barcelona's box, the latter's first time shot is straight at Ter Stegen and Barcelona survive.
...
Barcelona are staring at yet another defeat and this time with Lionel Messi. The Catalan outfit need a goal and they need it now.
...
55' Neymar and Messi talk about it and finally it is the Brazilian who curls it int the box but the ball is cleared by Malaga and then Neymar fouls a Malaga player.
...
54' Camacho brings down Messi and the Argentine goes down in rather dramatic fashion. Another free-kick to Barca about 30 yards from goal.
...
51' Barcelona have a free-kick and this is Leo Messi territory but the Argentine's shot is well over the goal frame, a rather poor attempt by his standards. He has been off his game tonight, so far at least.
...
48' Gomes brings down Camacho but the referee abstains from giving another card, Malaga in turn waste the opportunity with a quick free-kick.
...
46' Substitution: Sergi Roberto replaces Jeremy Mathieu with Javier Mascherano moving to the center of defence.
...
46' Substitution: Denis Suarez comes off Andres Iniesta.
...
46' And we are underway in the second half.
...
The players are making their way out and Barcelona have made two changes.
