It is a case of homecoming for two of the Islanders’ young stars, Alen Deory and Pranjal Bhumji. Costa admitted that he was content with their work and that they’ll have more chances to impress this season.

“Sure, I have 25 players and I have to make use of all of them. The two players (Deory and Bhumji) are working, and they are working well. Both waited for this opportunity. For sure they’ll have opportunities to do better,” Costa opined.
The emergence of local talent has been one of the many positives for Schattorie so far. The Dutchmen admitted that he was pleased with the effort of these players and that he hopes for more from them in the future.

“Yes, I think Redeem (Tlang) has played all games till now. Lalthathanga (Khawlhring), he came in last week in halftime and he did really well. Most likely (he) will start tomorrow again. And yeah, you never know how a young player is going to react. But my philosophy is always that if you don’t give a chance, you also have no chance to improve. I have all my confidence and whenever there are mistakes, we will try and improve them,” Schattorie said.

NorthEast United vs Mumbai City FC preview:

Hello and Welcome to Sportskeeda's LIVE coverage of the Indian Super League tie between NorthEast United and Mumbai City FC.

Both the teams will be high on confidence given their recent winning run. The Highlanders have won all the three games on the road against ATK, Chennaiyin FC and Delhi Dynamos. Mumbai City seem to have found their rhythm as they clinched two consecutive wins over Delhi Dynamos and Chennaiyin FC after suffering a huge defeat to FC Goa.

However, NorthEast United are yet to register a win at home this season. They have also not won a single game at home for the last five ISL games. Mumbai City would be looking to capitalise on the dreaded form of United at home.

Federico Gallego and Bartholomew Ogbeche will be pivotal to NorthEast United's chances upfront against a sturdy Mumbai City defence comprising Lucian Goian and Subhasish Bose. The Nigerian is probably in the form of his life with already six goals to his name, thus finding himself at the top of the ISL goal-scorers chart with FC Goan stalwart Ferran Corominas.

However, he might not have it so easy against Mumbai City given that the Islanders have the highest number of clean sheets this season.
Rowlin Borges and Redeem Tlang have been putting impressive shifts in the last few games and Schattorie will be looking for more of the same.

Jorge Costa's side will be dependent on the trio of Arnold Issoko, Paulo Machado and Modou Sougou for supplying the goals upfront. Sougou has hit the ground running by scoring thrice in six games.

The Islanders have won on five occasions over the Highlanders while the Men in White have seen two wins over the team from the Maximum City. The encounter has had only one stalemate between the two.

A win for the home side will propel them to the pinnacle of the ladder whereas if Mumbai City manage to overcome United, they will climb to somewhere between the top and the third place depending on the margin of win today.

When and where to watch:
The game will kick-off at 7:30 PM at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium at 7:30 PM. The game will be LIVE on Star Sports 1, Star Sports 3, NorthEast Live. Live streaming available on Jio TV and Hotstar.
