ODI vs NOR Match Result - ISL 2019-20
Odisha
2 - 1
FT
NorthEast United
Manuel 47'
M. Pérez 72'
24' M. Cháves
PEEP! PEEP! PEEP! There is the full-time whistle by the referee and it has ended 2-1 in favour of the home side Odisha FC who have triumphed over NorthEast United FC here in this crunch encounter. That victory means Odisha FC's fight for the last spot in the playoff is still on. That's it from your host Abhishek Kundu. Do stay tuned to Sportskeeda to get the latest ISL and Indian Football news.
90+4' Federico Gallego flies a ball from a free-kick but the NorthEast United FC players end up fouling Odisha FC goalkeeper. That should be it.
90+3' Yellow cards are flying here at the Kalinga Stadium. This time, it is Odisha FC's Martin Perez Guedes who goes in the book.
90+2' SHOT! A poor pass by Odisha FC defenders ends up with Martin Chaves having the ball in the penalty box. Gaurav Bora marks him well and the Uruguayan decides to take a shot from a tough angle. But, the looping effort is caught by Odisha FC's goalkeeper.
90+1' CHANCE! Reagan Singh crosses the ball into the box but Odisha FC custodian Arshdeep Singh collects it with ease. Time is slipping out here.
Four Minutes have been added on.
90' No, Xisco chips the ball inside the penalty box but Odisha FC fail to make the most of it.
89' Odisha FC win a corner-kick and they should take all the time in the world to delay it.
86' And, Odisha FC's head coach Josep Gombau goes in the book for too much complaining.
85' Odisha FC break on the counter briskly and Sajid Dhot finds the ball in his feet. But, his final pass is wayward and runs out of play.
83' Wayne Vaz and Manuel Onwu get things heated in the pitch and the referee books both of them.
82' SHOT! Ninthoi with a brilliant run with his pace and trickery both. He went straight through the tackle but unfortunately for the youngster, he shot it straight at the goalkeeper.
80' NorthEast United FC make their second change. A foreigner coming off for another foreigner.

OFF- Andy Keogh
ON- Simon Lundevall
79' SHOT! Reagan Singh takes a shot from distance. That was a good strike. But, Arshdeep positioned himself perfectly to tip the ball out for a NorthEast United FC corner kick.
78' Daniel sends a low ball, hard and bottom. But, NorthEast United's custodian Subhasish collects it comfortably before an Odisha FC player can tap it home.
77' SHOT! Ninthoi makes space for himself after running past one defender. He lays the ball to Andy Keogh but the Irishman's shot from inside the box is tame and falls straight to the hands of Odisha FC goalkeeper Arshdeep Singh.
75' Odisha FC make their final change. The player is coming out via stretcher.

OFF- Nandhakumar Sekar
ON- Mohammed Sajid Dhot
72' GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL! Odisha FC finally takes the lead. And, it is Martin Perez Guedes who gives the home side the lead.

Xisco floats a wonderful corner-kick and Manuel Onwu rises above the Highlanders defenders to put it at the far post. With no one marking him, Martin Perez Guedes outstretches his leg to poke the ball home and it crosses the goal-line.
71' Nandakumar Sekar flies a cross from inside the box but can't get any elevation this time.
70' SAVE! Once again NorthEast United FC's Subhasish Roy Chowdhury collects the ball to bail his defense out of the game.
68' What a save by Subhasish! A long ball from the left flank is connected by Manuel Onwu but the NorthEast United FC custodian was right on spot to collect his header from point-blank range. That is the best save in the match so far for me.
64' CHANCE! Martin Chaves sends a delightful through ball inside the box but both Redeem Tlang and Ninthoi fail to get a touch properly and Odisha FC survives a scare.
61' NorthEast United FC make their first change.

ON- Ninthoinganba Meetei
OFF- Jose Leudo
59' FOUL! Daniel wins a free-kick for Odisha FC just outside the penalty box after Jose Leudo kicked him in his thighs behind his body. The Columbian is already on a yellow card and is lucky to escape without another one.
57' CHANCE! Jerry sends the ball low for Xisco in the penalty box but Rakesh Pradhan is right on his shadows and ensures the ball goes out only for a corner-kick.
56' CHANCE! Jerry with a beautifully inswinging cross from the right-hand side of the pitch. But, neither Onwu nor Daniel could toe-poke the ball into the back of the net. That was almost 2-1 for Odisha FC.
52' Odisha FC are looking threatening with the change of sides. They are knocking at the doors of NorthEast United FC knowing that this is a do-or-die game for them. But, NorthEast United FC players are huffing and puffing to avert the danger.
47' GOAAAAAAAALLL! Manuel Onwu pulls one back for Odisha FC!

Xisco Hernandez drifts the ball wide to the left wing for Nandhakumar Sekar and the Indian international crosses the ball at the centre of the box. Manuel Onwu makes no mistake in connecting in it and slams the ball home with his first touch in the second half. It is game on here at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
46' PEEEEEEEP! Odisha FC have made a double change in the second half

OFF- Shubham Sarangi, Vinit Rai
ON- Jerry Mawihmingthanga, Daniel Lalhlimpuia
45+2' PEEP! PEEP! There is the half-time whistle by the referee and it has finished 1-0 in favour of the away side. The best performer of the match for me is NorthEast United FC's goalkeeper Subhasish Roy Chowdhury. He is playing for his seventh club in the ISL and has proven his detractors wrong once again as to why he is one of the most in-demand goalkeepers in the country with a string of saves. Don't go anywhere as we will be back with the second half of football after the commercial break.
45+1' CHANCE! Shubham Sarangi dribbles past two players and takes a shot from inside the box but Subhasish collects it making it look comfortable. The youngster showing flashes of his striking instincts. That's interesting.
Two Minutes have been added on.
45' PENALTY? Manuel Onwu falls down the pitch after a sliding tackle on him. But, the Spaniard doesn't complain about it and the referee neither gives one to Odisha FC.
42' CHANCE! Gallego looking dangerous here for NorthEast United FC. He gets inside the penalty box and looks to deliver a minus ball but Odisha FC's Narayan Das gets his foot in the dying moment to concede only a corner. The flag-kick fails to pose any danger for the home side.
40' CHANCE! Martin Chaves sends a dangerous-looking low ball in the penalty box. However, Andy Keogh fails to get the proper connection and the chance wriggles away. That was almost 2-0 for NorthEast United FC.
39' Odisha FC's Martin Perez Guedes shrugs past two challenges before finding space to take a shot despite a host of NorthEast United FC players in front of him. However, his effort is saved again by Subhasish. The nomadic goalkeeper is having a fabulous day in the park tonight.
38' Rakesh Pradhan now goes in the book for a mistimed challenge on Shubham Sarangi at the edge of the box. Xisco goes for goal but it hits straight at the wall.
37' Redeem Tlang with a two-footed challenge on Shubham Sarangi. That flying lunge would have been another yellow card for the youngster but the referee shows some mercy on him and only cautions him.
35' Odisha FC want to take a quick free-kick but NorthEast United FC's Jose Leudo prevents him from doing so and shoves Tebar. He goes in the book for that.
34' CHANCE! NorthEast United FC's Federico Gallego chips the ball forward and Andy Keogh takes a shot first time from the outside of the box. That was good technique by the Irish international but Arshdeep Saini was positioned perfectly to thump the ball away.
31' Vinit Rai is booked for a behind the man sliding challenge on Martin Chaves. The Uruguayan was looking threatening on the counter with his pace.
30' SAVE! Odisha FC's Manuel Onwu gives a brilliant backheel pass to Marcos Tebar and the Spaniard is one-on-one with the rival goalkeeper. However, he shoots the ball straight at the hands of Subhasish and the home side fail to catch the Highlanders.
29' Shubham Sarangi gets a yellow card for a clumsy foul.
28' CHANCE! Martin Perez Guedes wriggles past one challenge and goes just outside the box to float a cross near the far post. Shubham Sarangi gets at the end of it but his effort is slightly late and ends up not at all troubling the NorthEast United FC custodian.
24' GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAL! Martin Chaves puts the Highlanders up front in the game.

NorthEast United FC takes a quick free-kick and Federico Gallego lobs the ball in the final third to the Uruguayan. The youngster squirms the ball between the legs of the rival goalkeeper and gets his first goal in his ISL career.
19' Redeem Tlang is booked for arguing with the referee. That's a silly one, early on.
18' SAVE! That's a top-notch save from NorthEast United FC's Subhasish Roy Chowdhury. Manuel Onwu gallops down the centre in the counter and seeing numbers in front of him, he lays the ball to Xisco Hernandez in his right. The Spaniard takes a shot from distance but the Indian custodian dives full stretch to parry the ball out for a corner-kick.
16' Another instance of poor goalkeeping from Odisha FC's Arshdeep Singh. He gives it straight to Redeem Tlang and the youngster lays it off for Gallego. However, his effort is wayward and the danger fizzles away.
15' CHANCE! Gallego punts a long free-kick and Arshdeep rises high to collect it. However, the Odisha FC custodian fails to trap it and the ball pierces between his hands. Luckily for him, there was no NorthEast United FC player to pounce on it and smash the ball home.
12' Very scrappy play from both sides. Neither of the two teams has been able to make meaningful inroads in the game so far.
7' Odisha FC have held their lines very well. NorthEast United FC fail to penetrate through them and go all the way back only for their long ball to go out of play.
3' SHOT! Gaurav Bora, Odisha FC's center-back, surges ahead and gives a delightful pass to Martin Perez Guedes. Unlike Jerry, whom he has replaced in the starting line-up, he cuts in rather than hanging near the sidelines and takes a shot. However, it is inches wide but Subhasish Roy Chowdhury had the lines covered for NorthEast United FC nonetheless.
2' NorthEast United FC win the first corner of the game but the Odisha FC defenders are alert and clear the danger.
1' PEEEEEEEEEEEEP! Okay, there is a last-minute change by NorthEast United FC. Kai Heerings has been sidelined and Rakesh Pradhan finds his way back in the starting line-up.
Hands shaken and greetings exchanged. We will be back with kick-off at the other end of the commercial break.
The teams are out of the tunnel. Up next is the National Anthem of India!
This is a must-win game for Odisha FC. They will be out of contention for the playoff spot if they pick up anything less than three points. However, to cross the final hurdle, they would also want Mumbai City FC and Chennaiyin FC to drop points.
This will be the first game Khalid Jamil will be in-charge of after NorthEast United FC sacked Robert Jarni after the team went through an 11-match winless streak. Can the former I-League fairytale writer with Aizawl FC change the fortunes of the club? Let's find out.
NorthEast United FC, on the other hand, has made as many as four changes to the squad that held Jamshedpur FC 3-3.

Rakesh Pradhan, Mislav Komorski, Lalengmawia, and Ninthoingamba Meetei don't find their name in the starting XI as Nim Dorjee Tamang, Wayne Vaz, Martin Chaves, and Milan Singh find themselves again in the team sheet.
Odisha FC has made two changes to the side that lost 1-3 to ATK in their last fixture. Francisco Dorronsoro and Jerry Mawihmingthanga gets relegated to the bench as Arshdeep Singh and Martin Perez Guedes find their names in the team sheet.
And, we have the team sheet of the home side Odisha FC as well.
