What a game! How this ended on level terms is anyone's guess. Edinson Cavani gave PSG the lead inside 44 seconds from Serge Aurier's cross and managed to miss two clear cut chances as the first half progressed. Arsenal looked quite terrible and were lucky to go into the break only a goal behind.
The Gunners made a much better start to the second half, but PSG didn't let up. Cavani and Di Maria had few opportunities to score, but were denied by David Ospina in inspired form as the Colombian produced a man-of-the-match performance to keep the Gunners in the game.
Alexis Sanchez then produced the heart-break for PSG grabbing a thoroughly undeserved equalizer in th 78th minute, lashing home a rebound. There was still time for Olivier Giroud and Marco Verratti to be both sent off rather foolishly in injury time, but the Gunners held on for the point.
90+5' WHAT A CHANCE! Di Maria's ball is flicked on by Cavani and Marquinhos is inches away from heading the ball into the net.
90+4' Meunier sends in a cross which Monreal clears for a corner...
93' OH DEAR! Olivier Giroud and Marco Verratti are both sent off for the most foolish of coming togethers. They both have earned a second yellow. UTTERYLY UTTERLY FOOLISH
90+2' Motta goes into the book for catching Giroud in the face.
90+1' So it seems like Arsenal's unbeaten record in France will continue - they have to thank David Ospina, Edinson Cavani and Alexis Sanchez for that. Three South Americans making the pivotal contribution in the UEFA European Champions League
90' 4 minutes of added time
90' Mustafi concedes a corner and Arsenal face a real challenge here!
89' Clever! Alexis Sanchez holds off Meunier and earns a free-kick for Arsenal as PSG threaten. They have missed his energy on the wing before Giroud came on.
88' Olivier Giroud goes into the book for a bit of dissent - this is the same crowd that booed him when he played for France, and they cheer the decision.
87' Pastore sends in a diagonal to trouble Monreal with Meunier getting his head to the ball in the box. Unai Emery seems to have identified the Spaniard as Arsenal's weak link.
85' Ozil takes him time while coming off to be replaced by Mo Elneny. Predictable change from Wenger that. Can the Gunners hang on to a precious point?
84' Thomas Meunier comes on to replace Serge Aurier
82' Great defending! Mustafi does superbly well to clear a cross from falling to Cavani for a tap in. As Arsenal counter, Iwobi is set up by Alexis for a golden chance to take the lead, but his low effort across goal is well saved by Areola.
Alexis Sanchez has scored four and assisted five of Arsenal’s last 14 Champions League goals (64%).
81' WHAT A SAVE FROM OSPINA! THIS IS A MAN OF THE MATCH PERFORMANCE! Cavani holds of Monreal to run onto a through bal and looks to have evaded Ospina by taking the ball around him, only for the Colombian to stretch out his hands and nick the ball off his feet.
80' Well, well - a penny for Unai Emery and Edi Cavani's thoughts. In fact, I have three - might as well get Wenger's thoughts!
75' CLOSE! Iwobi and Bellerin work some quick passes down the right with the Spaniard trying to send the Nigerian clear, but his pass is overhit.
73' Adrien Rabiot comes off to be replaced by Thiago Motta.
71' ANOTHER BRILLIANT SAVE FROM OSPINA! With the Arsenal defence scrambling Di Maria takes a couple of intelligent touches to take himself clear in the box, but his powerful effort aimed at the top corner is kept out by Ospina!
70' Di Maria is down and the referee has words with Giroud for recklessly clattering into him. Granit Xhaka comes on for Francis Coquelin.
69' ANOTHER MISS FROM CAVANI! Rabiot charges forward and takes out both Koscielny and Mustafi and the ball bobbles to Cavani in the box, and he is one-on-one with Ospina, but the Arsenal keeper makes another great save to deny him.
68' WHAT A SAVE! Di Maria and Aurier play an exquisite 1-2 down the right, with the Ivorian running clear into the box. Ospina charges Aurier down, and blocks his effort. How this is still 1-0 is a mystery to me!
66' Aurier is down and writhing on the ground after clashing with Monreal. He pounds the ground in pain, and replays show that he rolled his ankle while landing awkwardly. That's one way to stop him, Nacho.
64' WHAT A TACKLE! Iwobi does well to evade a couple of PSG players before playing a 1-2 with Alexis that looks set for him to score. Just as he is about to pull the trigger, Marquinhos slides in to clear the ball for a corner. Cazorla's delivery from the set-piece is gobbled up by Areola in the PSG goal.
63' CLOSE! Sanchez weighs a lovely ball to the Ox in the box, but he cant twist his body on the run and his effort is underpowered. That was his last action, as Giroud comes on to replace Oxlade-Chamberlain.
61' FANTASTIC DEFENDING! Aurier sends in another of those super crosses of his, and Matuidi charges in to catch it on the volley on the penalty spot, but Bellerin manages to nick in front and get the block. Olivier Giroud gets ready to come on..
58' PSG and Arsenal both trade attacks, but their forward forays break down due to errant passes.
Arsenal have never won after trailing 1-0 at half-time in an away Champions League game (D3 L17)
54' Arsenal better start taking advantage of the numerous corners they earn, as Coquelin is the latest to head the ball well wide.
53' WAS THAT A PENALTY? NO! A long ball forward sends Di Maria clear, with Monreal chasing back and challenging, but the Argentine takes a heavy touch and tumbles to the floor. Referee waves play on. Arsenal counter and earn a corner.
51' Nearly! Some swift passing on the edge of the box ends with the Ox sending a ball clear for Alexis, only for the Chilean to be caught on his heels as he was expecting the ball to foot. This is much better from Arsenal, though - maybe they do have a way back into this game.
49' More pressure from Arsenal as Ozil sends the ball to Sanchez in the box, but he is sandwiched by both PSG defenders. Time for a certain gorgeous Frenchman, Arsene!
47' A MUCH BETTER START FROM ARSENAL! The Gunners work the ball well between PSG defenders allowing the Ox to send in a cross from the right, but Silva blocks Alexis' goal bound effort.
46' PEEP PEEP PEEP! Arsenal get us underway in the second half!
HT: The teams are gradually exiting the tunnel and the second half is moments away from starting! Will Wenger bring on Giroud to finally offer his team an outlet?
Arsenal failed to register a single shot on target in the first half versus PSG.
Arsenal were stunned with 44 seconds, as Cavani gave PSG the lead with a header from Aurier's cross. With the Gunners looking absolutely terrible, Cavani spurned two clear chances to double PSG's lead, which should give Arsenal some hope.
