Brazil
36' Paulinho
68' Thiago Silva
Peeeeep peeeeep. That's it. Brazil cruise through into the R16 with a professional performance against Serbia. An early goal from Paulinho got the ball rolling while Neymar was at his most majestic self. Thiago Silva added a second to seal the points.
Brazil will now play Mexico in the next round while Serbia crash out despite winning their opening game.
That's it for me. Join us tomorrow for more live coverage of the World Cup
93' NEEEYYYMAAAR another miss. Jesus lays it off to Neymar who again decides to make things difficult for himself. Eventually the shot is saved by Stojkovic
93' AH the game is done and dusted. Serbia have given a good account of themselves in the second half but Brazil have not gotten out of second gear
91' There's 3 minutes of time added on. For what reason, I have no idea.
89' So Close! Rajdonic takes on Fagner and gets past him. He then whips one in dangerously but it's just about cleared away by Miranda
86' OHH Neymar wrecking havoc. Lovely interplay on the edge of the box, but a massive deflection falls straight into Neymar's path. He tries to be a little too cheeky and lift the ball over the keeper, but Stojkovic is up to the task
83' What a chance for Neymar. Willian whips one in from the right, it falls to Neymar in the middle and he fires it into the ground from which it bounces over the bar.
82' Last throw of the dice for Serbia. Kostic is replaced by Radonjic
80' Coutinho is given a rest and Augusto takes his place
78' OOOOOHHH CASEMIRO. Gets tired of all the tiki-taka and decides to take matters into his own hands. Picks up the ball and fires it into orbit. That's probably meeting Sigurdsson's penalty somewhere on Mars
76' SAMBA STUFF FROM BRAZIL. Neymar dances past a couple of tackles as usual, feeds Jesus who gets in Neymar's way. They somehow tippytoe their way out and retain possession. Jesus then drops his shoulder and sends his marker back to Serbia
75' Substitution for Serbia.
Živković ON
Ljajić OFF
75' Neymar has well and truly come to the party tonight. He's got that swagger back and he is toying with the Serbian defenders at the moment
73' OHHH Neymar is at it again. A lovely reverse pass right through the Serbian defence, but there is no one else on his wavelength and the chance is wasted.
71' Half chance for Brazil. Filipe Luis charges down the left and tries to cut one back into the box but it's just about cleared by the Serbian defence
70' OHHH Neymar you genius. Flicks it over Matic of all people - he's ended his career with that surely - and races down the right. He then feeds Coutinho in acres of space but he checks back in and the chance is lost.
68' GOOOAAAAAAL FOR BRAZIL. IT'S THIAGO SILVA. Corner is whipped in and Thiago Silva rises to meet it and powers it into the net. Brazil have their second and it's game over now!
66' Tite has had enough. The goalscorer Paulinho is withdrawn and Fernandinho comes on in his stead
65' Mitrovic's gotta score that. Rises to meet Ljajic's wonderful cross, but he cannot get enough power on it and Alisson claims comfortably. What a chance that for Serbia
63' Ohhh Serbia come close again. Milinkovic-Savic lays it off brilliantly to Tadic who tries to pick out Mitrovic but it's cleared away. The rebound falls to Milinkovic-Savic who tries to curl one into the far corner but it flies wide of the post.
Finally Serbia have come to the party.
62' What a chance for Serbia, what a miss by Mitrovic. A low ball into the box is palmed out by Alisson, it falls straight to Mitrovic, but he somehow manages to head it straight at Thiago Silva and the ricochet is claimed by Alisson
60' Ohhh Alisson. Shows Neuer how it's done. Mitrovic looks to be in behind the defence but Alisson comes off his line and clears the danger
59' Oh the game has suddenly come alive again! Serbia go back down the other end, but Milinkovic-Savic's cross is easily claimed by Alisson
57' Great save by Stojkovic. The corner is cleared and Brazil counter with pace. Coutinho with a lovely backheel sets things in motion. He then gets it back and plays a wonderful ball to Neymar who is completely unmarked in the middle. However, he hesitates and allows the defender back in. He still gets his shot away but it's saved by the keeper.
56' OH SO CLOSE! A wicked ball is whipped into the box by Ljajic and Miranda almost puts it into his own net
55' It's all Serbia at the moment. But they seem to be lacking that spark tonight. Just as I say that, Milinkovic-Savic picks one up 30 yards out and fires it goal-bound but it's blocked by Miranda
53' What a chance for Serbia but they make a meal of things. Ljajic charges down the right and has three men to pick out in the centre but his cut back is poor and Tadic loses his footing as the chance breaks down
51' Lovely ball over the top from Fagner finds Willian in acres of space. He fires one into the six-yard box but it's cleared away by Milenkovic
50' Oh that's awful from Serbia. Kostić looks up, sees Kolarov on his left and tries to pick him out but his ball is woeful and goes out for a goalkick
48' Matic goes into the ref's book. Jesus gets on his bike and races away on the flank but Matic takes him down from behind with a cynical challenge
47' Mitrovic wins a freekick for Serbia deep in Brazil territory but for some inexplicable reason they go all the way backwards instead of pumping one into the box
46' Brazil press high up the pitch and force Serbia into an error. Neymar finds himself in space, but the flag goes up for offside
We are back for the second half. Serbia have 45 minutes to salvage their World Cup campaign. They need 2 goals to do that but they haven't troubled the Brazilians one bit
Peeeeeeep. The ref brings an end to an entertaining first half. Brazil have their noses in front and have commanded the first half. It's one-way traffic at the moment and Serbia will need a massive turnaround in the second half to haul things back.
Join us in 15
45'  OHHH NEYMAR!  Picks up the ball on the edge of the box, lifts his head up and unleashes one to the far corner. It flies just over the crossbar and Serbia live on
44' Lovely stuff from Milinkovic-Savic. He holds off tackles from Casemiro and Paulinho but has his shirt tugged back and wins a freekick
43' Neymar goes down like he's been shot and gets up to his usual antics, trying to get Matić booked but the ref's having nothing of it
41' Another corner for Serbia. They have responded well after going a goal down. However, again the corner is headed away by Casemiro. Brazil have dealt with Serbia's aerial threat with ease thus far.
40' Corner whipped in by Ljajic, it's headed away by Miranda but straight to Tadic who fires it into orbit.
39' Kolarov with another tasty ball into the box. Milinkovic-Savic rises to meet it but it's deflected out for a corner.
38' Things are getting messy for Serbia at the moment. Rukavina goes in late on Coutinho and sends him tumbling to the floor
36' GOOOOOALLLL. PAULINHOOOOO. Lovely ball over the Serbian defence by Coutinho, Paulinho beats the offside trap and lifts the ball over the keeper and into the back of the net. Brazil have the lead. What a simple move and lovely finish
34' Acrobatic stuff from Mitrovic. Good counter from the Balkans and Kolarov receives the ball on the left. He chips it out to the far post where Mitrovic is waiting. He attempts a spectacular overhead kick but miscues horribly, sending it into the third tier.
33' First card of the game goes to Ljajic. A horribly late challenge on Neymar sends him clattering him to the floor and the Brazilian makes the most of it, rolling all the way to the corner flag.
31' Ouch. That's gotta hurt. Thiago Silva catches Mitrovic flush on the nose with a swing of his boot, but the ref doesn't penalise him for some reason
29' OH GABRIEL JESUS! A lovely ball by Coutinho sets Jesus racing away on goal. A lovely drag back sends his marker sprawling but he takes a touch too long to get the shot away and it's blocked by Milenković
28' Jesus is back on the field to raucous applause from the fans
27' No Coutinho. A lovely run by Fagner as he drives through the heart if the Serbian defence. He squares to Coutinho in the centre but his pass to Neymar is wayward and flies out to touch
26' Uh oh! Trouble for Brazil. Jesus crumples to the floor in pain, holding his right ankle.
25' WHAT A SAVE BY STOJKOVIC. Jesus and Neymar play a lovely one-two on the edge of the box. Jesus tries to get a shot off but it falls to Neymar who fires one at the far corner but it's wonderfully kept out by the keeper
24' Neymar again picks up the ball on the left and tries to evade the challenge of Rukavina but the defender gets a foot to it.
22' The game has fizzled out somewhat after a bright start. Brazil probing trying to find some space to work with but there's nothing of that on offer
21' Lovely interplay down the left from Serbia and Kostic finds some space but his cross is easily dealt with by Fagner.
20' Corner for Brazil. Willian to take. It's taken short to Neymar who finds Coutinho, but yet again a Serbian wall greets them and danger is averted
19' Lovely ball by Coutinho right through the heart of the Serbia defence but it's slightly overhit and the keeper claims safely before a rampaging Jesus can get on the end of it
18' Kolarov finds a pocket of space on the left, feeds Ljajic who tries a quick give and go with Mitrovic but it's well read by Miranda who deals with the danger
16' OOH Mitrovic! A ball is lobbed into the box more in hope than anything else and Mitrovic does well to try and take it down but he's crowded out by Miranda and Luis.
15' Corner for Serbia. Some scrappy stuff outside the box and the ball falls to Kostic who smacks it at the goal but it deflects out for a corner which is dealt with by the defence
14' Brazil have started brightly but Serbia have done well not to allow them time and space on the ball. They will fancy their chances as long as the score remains the same
12' Alisson's first piece of the action as he deals with a Serbia freekick with relative ease.
11' OOH NEYMAR. Lovely feet sends Rukavina staggering. Charges down the left flank and brakes like a Ferrari to send his marker on his way. Nothing comes of the move though
10' That will be a huge setback for Brazil. They need Marcelo to bomb down the flank and allow Neymar more space and time on the ball. How will they approach it now?
9' Brazil substitution.
Marcelo OFF
Filipe Luis ON
8' Marcelo seems to have a problem. He looks distraught. He will have to be taken off and Luis readies himself on the touchline
7' Serbia's time to threaten. Rukavina receives the ball on the right and whips one into the box, but it's easily dealt with by Miranda
6' AHHH Tadic. Tippytoes his way past Marcelo but a couple of yellow shirts close him down and danger is averted
5' Veljkovic manhandles Willian ad throws him to the ground. The ref blows for a foul. Expect a lot more of this from Serbia.
3' WHAT A CHANCE FOR BRAZIL. Neymar with a lovely ball in behind the defence, Jesus looks to have beaten the offside trap but he smashes it into the keeper. The flag goes up belatedly. What a start by Brazil. They are pumped for this one.
2' OOOOOH NEYMAR. Picks up the ball near the halfway line, dances past a couple of Serbian challenges and feeds Coutinho but his shot smashes into Willian!
1' And we are off. Brazil get us underway, kicking from right to left in their traditional yellow and blue
And the teams are out for the anthems. We are moments away from kickoff. Can Serbia pull off a massive upset? Just hours earlier, Germany crashed out at the hands of Korea.
Managers speaketh:

Tite: "What is maintaining your game plan? It's when you score a goal in the 91st minute by playing with the style the team has been playing since the start of the game. I was very happy with the way we reacted emotionally in the second half. We are not placing an excessive responsibility on Neymar's shoulders for success or failure. It's the whole team which wins or loses."

Mladen Krstajic: "We have no fear of Brazil, but we have to be patient, disciplined and play as a team. We have to satisfy the Serbian nation. We have nothing to lose but if we are not ready to give our all, then we will have lost... You may lose, but you must not shirk your responsibility."
We have all been privileged to watch Brazil make teams dance to their tunes over the years. However, for Carlos, it's been a whole different experience. While we wait for kickoff, take a look at his inspiring story here
Serbia vs Brazil - Preview

It's Neymar's time to shine. Having been stifled in his first two games, the onus is on him (like it has been for the past few years) to carry Brazil through to the R16 and even further. Brazil looked like they were on Lorazepam for around 170 minutes of their World Cup campaign before they shrugged off their lethargy and sprung into action.

Serbia, meanwhile, are one step away from entering unchartered territory. Mladen Krstajic's men, if they can beat Brazil, will make it to the knockout stages for the first time in their history as an independent nation. They can also progress if Switzerland succumb by two or more goals to Costa Rica.

Tite has stuck with the same set of henchmen that came good in the final 10 minutes of their previous game. Krstajic, on the other hand, has left out the likes of Ivanovic and Milivojevic, putting his faith in Rukavina and Veljkovic instead.
Confirmed lineups:

Brazil (confirmed XI): Alisson; Marcelo, Silva, Miranda, Fagner; Paulinho, Coutinho, Casemiro; Neymar, Jesus, Willian

Serbia (confirmed XI): Stojkovic; Rukavina, Kolarov, Velljkovic, Milenkovic; Matic, Kostic, Milinkovic-Savic, Tadic, Ljajic; Mitrovic

Serbia vs Brazil: Team News

Neymar has been kicked, punched, throttled and guillotined in Brazil's first two games and it's amazing how he is still standing and ready to lead his side in the all-important game against Serbia. He will expect the same treatment and more against the Serbians who know only one approach.

Mladen Krstajic's side run on a solid backline and some individual brilliance from their frontmen, including Sergej Milinkovic-Savic who looked off color in the game against Switzerland. Serbia have a few concerns going into their win-or-go home game against Brazil. As many as 6 players are on yellow cards and could miss the R16 clash if Serbia do pull off the upset today.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Luka Milivojevic, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Aleksandar Prijovic, Nemanja Matic and Branislav Ivanovic are the men in trouble but they are all key parts of the side without whom the Serbian nation stand no chance against the might of Brazil.

Brazil meanwhile are expected to retain the same 11 players that started against Costa Rica. Danilo has been ruled out due to a thigh injury and Douglas Costa too is a concern after he picked up a hamstring strain.

Serbia vs Brazil: Probable lineups

Serbia Probable XI:
Stojkovic; Kolarov, Tosic, Milenkovic, Ivanovic; Milivojevic, Matic; Milinkovic-Savic, Tadic, Kostic; Mitrovic

Brazil Probable XI: Alisson; Marcelo, Silva, Miranda, Fagner; Paulinho, Coutinho, Casemiro; Neymar, Jesus, Willian

Serbia vs Brazil: Head to Head

Matches played:

Serbia wins: 2
Brazil wins: 10
Draws: 7

You couldn't get a more lopsided head to head than this. Including Yugoslavia, Brazil have faced off against the Balkan nation 19 times, winning 10 of those and losing just 2. The two sides' most recent meeting was a friendly back in 2014, Brazil edging the game thanks to a second-half strike from Fred.

Most recent meeting: Brazil 1-0 Serbia

Serbia vs Brazil: Prediction

Predicted scoreline: Serbia 2-1 Brazil

I'm going out on a limb here and picking Brazil to crash out of the competition. They have been far from their best thus far and Serbia are more than capable of causing an upset. Mitrovic can cause Brazil's defence all sorts of problems with his power and if they can kick Neymar and Coutinho off the ball, there is no reason Serbia cannot emerge with the greatest victory in their history.
