The home side has played well in the game, and will no doubt star in the highlight package. But, Georgia sat back and soaked up the pressure and allowed Spain to have the ball, and Spain did, without having anything meaningful to write home about. Del Bosque has some serious thinking to do, as most sides will employ simlar tactics siting back hitting them on the break.
57': Busquets looks like he will continue. He picks out Vasquez with a lovely cross field ball with his left foot. There aren't a lot of players in Busquets' position for Spain if he does have to go off.
51': Spain earn a free kick on the left via Nolito. Koke sends the ball in and a nasty collision between Busquets and the Georgia keeper Revishvili. Looks concerning for both players, Busquets getting stitches on his head. The Goalkeeper has his head bandaged by the physio and it doesn't look like that he will be able continue.
Georgia are somehow 137th in the FIFA Rankings. They have given a more than good account of themselves in the first half, their defence has stood firm for most of the game and has restricted Spain to a handful of half-chances. A very exciting second half awaits us here in Getafe.
45': There is a lot more urgency in Spain's play following the goal, but they haven't been able create any clear cut chances yet, except maybe the half-chance for Aduritz and the shot from the edge of the boss for Tiago.
40': GOAL! Georgia score the opening goal against the run of play. Quazaishvili picks the ball from midfield and attacks the heart of the Spanish defence. Pique with a brilliant challenge, Jaghuari picks up loose the ball and crossed for an easy tap-in for Okriashvili.
33': Brilliant one-touch play from Spain. Nillito to Aduritz, Aduritz to Fabregas. The Georgia center-back Kverkvilia puts a foot in. The Georgians have had a bit more of the ball in the last two minutes.
21' : Lovely wing play by Lucas Vasquez. He picks up a cross-field pass from Busquets, takes on the full-back and puts a brilliant cross for Aduritz, he heads the ball narrowly wide. He is definitely making his case for a place in the starting lineup for the first group game.
2' : The pattern of the game already established. Spain with the majority of the ball, Pique picks up the ball switches it to Nolito, who earns a corner. Nothing comes off it though as Pique's flick goes past the far post.
