FULL TIME!!!
Spurs edge City 1-0 in the first leg. The hosts were full value for the result as they completely dominated the game and didn't allow City's flair players to assert themselves.

Pochettino pulled off a tactical masterclass and Guardiola has his task cut out trying to devise a method to overturn the deficit at the Etihad in a week's time
90+6' De Bruyne whips in a promising free-kick but it is palmed away by Lloris. The resulting ball is header over by Fernandinho
90+5' De Bruyne makes a purposeful run through the centre but Sane can't make the most of the pass given to him as he goes backwards. City, however, earn a free-kick from the passage of play
90+4' Another City cross straight into the palms of Lloris. They have not gotten their attacking play going at all tonight
90+3' Son again runs in behind Delph. But, this time he can't produce anything substantial and fires straight at Ederson
90+2' Wanyama wins an important free-kick in the centre of the pitch. Spurs trying everything to run the clock down
A minimum of five minutes at the end of ninety
90' An intruder runs on to the field and stops a potential City attack!! Delph is absolutely mad

Sane on for Mahrez and De Bruyne on for Silva
87' Son finds himself in a good attacking position but he leans back on his shot and blazes his effort over the bar
86' Llorente comes on for Alli!!
83' Mahrez tries to unlock the Spurs defence but Alderweireld stands firmly between his cross and Jesus
82' Eriksen frees Lucas on the left but the attack fizzles out as Spurs can't get enough numbers in support
81' Wanyama on for Winks!!
Son has now scored two out of the three goals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
78' Son scores!!!!!!
Son is sent free on the right flank by Eriksen. The striker miraculously keeps the ball in, cuts inside Delph and fires past Ederson. Ederson could have done better
76' Silva breezes past a couple of defenders and fires a right-footed shot. But, his shot is blocked by the Spurs' defence. The resulting ball goes out to the right flank but Walker can't do anything substantial with it. The ball goes out for a goal kick
75' Indecision by Spurs in their penalty box hands Mahrez a crossing opportunity. The winger whips in a delightful cross which Jesus can't get over. The ball goes out for a goal kick
73' Mahrez runs into the right channel and finds Silva in the box. But, he can't find shooting space. So, he passes it to Delph who fires his shot well wide
70' Gabriel Jesus comes on for Sergio Aguero!!!
70' Raheem Sterling misses a big opportunity to play Mahrez through. Spurs win the ball back in midfield before giving it away again
68' The game is getting a little scrappy and twitchy as both teams don't want to provide the other an inch
65' City are growing into the game and they now feel they can really hurt Spurs in the last third of the game
64' Sterling embarks on one of his trademark runs and cuts inside three defenders before playing in Silva. The Spaniard though is off-side and the attack comes to nothing
62' Mahrez whips in a cross from the right flank but the pass is easily headed away by Vertonghen
60' Spurs waste another promising free-kick opportunity but the ball bounces off Laporte for a corner
59' Yellow card for Mahrez
Lucas leaves a couple of City players in his wake before being tugged back by Mahrez. The Algerian is rightly booked for the foul
58' Lucas Moura on for Harry Kane!!!
56' Huge injury blow for Spurs
Harry Kane limps off the field and is then carried into the tunnel by Spurs' medical stuff. Enormous blow for Spurs
54' Ederson is struggling after the awkward fall from his earlier action. But, he is able to continue for now
52'  Eriksen nearly finds Alli with a superb pass. But, Ederson commands his penalty box to perfection as he plucks the ball from the air
50' The corner comes to nothing and Spurs launch a counter attack of their own from the set-piece. But, Son's shot at the end of it is too tame and is fielded easily by Ederson
49' David Silva earns City a corner on the left side. Tottenham defend the corner well. The ball then falls to Mahrez whose shot is blocked. Another corner for City

48' Son shoots just wide!!
Son curls an ambitious effort from thirty yards. But, the attempt flies just past the far post
47' Sharp Save by Lloris!!
City shift the ball out to Sterling after some good interplay in midfield. The Englishman fires a low shot at goal but the shot is palmed away by Lloris
The Second Half begins!!!

Spurs get us underway
The real challenge for Tottenham would be to maintain the intensity they displayed in the first half. If they can manage that, they would fancy their chances.

City, meanwhile, would hope to get Sterling, Silva and Aguero into the game more. They could also contemplate switching Mahrez with Sane with the latter's pace providing a different headache for Rose and Tottenham
HALF TIME!!!
The teams go in level at the break after an absorbing and breathless first half. Spurs were clearly the better side and City would have to improve massively if they are to get a victory out of this game
Two minutes of added time at the end of the first half!!!!

45' A raking cross-field pass by Eriksen finds Trippier but his cross is intercepted by Otamendi. From the resulting clearance, City counter attack and feed the ball to Aguero. But, the striker lashes his shot wide from the edge of the box
44' City defend the corner well and bring the ball out with conviction. The away side is looking for one final offensive foray before half time
43' Rose advances down the left flank after being played through by Eriksen. His cross is blocked by Mahrez. Ball goes out for a corner
43' Eriksen fizzes in the free kick but it is too close to Ederson who gobbles up the cross
42' Poor defending by Sterling as he pulls Son back in an off the ball incident. Spurs get a free kick just on the edge of the box
40' Fernandinho and Kane involved in a scuffle near the half-way line. The Brazilian was extremely fortunate to escape without a booking there
39' Aguero escapes the attention of his marker and drives towards the Spurs box. He fires a shot at goal but it goes well wide of the target

38' Spurs harry the City defence in possession and nearly get their reward but City eventually play through the press

37' The free-kick is dreadful as Eriksen smashes it into the wall. But, the loose ball causes panic in the City ranks before the offside flag saves the visitors

36' Free kick for Spurs in a promising position!!
Kane is fouled by Otamendi thirty yards from goal. Eriksen behind the ball
34' Trippier is back on the pitch and makes his presence felt with a well-weighted cross. Unfortunately, Kane can't get over it as the ball floats harmlessly wide
32' Injury Scare for Spurs
Trippier is being attended to as the Englishman complains of an injury issue. He is being treated at the moment
31' A free kick for City. Gundogan whips a delicious ball to the far post. Otamendi gets on the end of it but can only head it straight at Lloris. It would not have counted anyway as the linesman had his flag up for off-side
29' Corner for Spurs!
Spurs have a corner on the left side but Trippier's delivery is safely pouched by Ederson
28' Yellow card for Laporte!
The Frenchman gets penalised for pulling Alli back on the right wing. Spurs have a free kick. But, Eriksen's delivery is poor as he can't beat the first man. The ball is recycled to Winks who can only sky his shot over the bar
27' City pounce on a loose pass by Alderweireld and go on the attack. Silva finds Aguero on the edge of the box. The striker picks out Mahrez but the Algerian can't get the better of Rose. The ball goes out for a goal-kick

20' An attempted one-two by Silva and Aguero is stopped comfortably by Spurs on the left edge of the penalty box
17' Spurs turning the screw. They get into a promising position on the right which culminates with a Trippier cross. Unfortunately, he can't pick out any of his teammates. City hurriedly get the ball away
16' Delph makes a crucial block thirty yards out from the goal. A failure to do so would have sent Erisken clear on the right flank
15' The ball pin-balls around the City box as the visitors finally get the ball away. The attack came about after Kane, Alli and Eriksen combined for a counter-attack
13' Aguero misses his spot kick!!!!

1' David Silva is played through by Raheem Sterling on the left but the Spaniard can only shoot wide from the angle
We are underway!!!!

Manchester City get us started
What an atmosphere at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium!!!!

The noise is deafening as the Champions League anthem is being played out. Can Spurs make their home advantage count though?
The Teams make their way on to the pitch!!!

Hugo Lloris leads Spurs out while David Silva captains the visitors.

Pep was asked why he’s resting certain players. His response: “De Bruyne is rested because he is not as good as David and Ilkay in these big moments. It is simple”

Woah. Now that's a big statement. What do you make of it?
Only a few minutes remain before the game as Tottenham get ready to welcome the Champions League to their impressive new stadium
Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino have clashed 14 times previously with the Spaniard enjoying a healthy 8-2 advantage over his Argentine counterpart.

But can Pochettino outwit his long-term rival to put City's quadruple charge in disarray?
Tottenham have named a full-strength eleven and would hope for their famed front four to put Otamendi and Laporte under pressure. Spurs would again rely on quick turnovers to catch City off-guard and exploit the space the away side might leave behind
Manchester City have sprung quite a few surprises with their line-up for tonight. The presence of Fernandinho and Gundogan points to City emphasizing control in the middle of the park. In addition, the selection of Mahrez should keep Rose on his toes
