PEEP! PEEP! PEEEEEP!

The final whistle brings to close a fitting farewell for the 118 year old Lane as United and her beloved Spurs play out an entertaining match that the home side deserved to win on the day

'twas a pleasure, and an honour, to bring this match to you. Anirudh Menon signing out...

Toodle-ooo
...
94' WHL Is in fine voice as it enjoys the very ast minute that this storied ground will witness
...
93' Dembele, Wanyama and Nkoudou rip United's  defence open yet again, but the latters cross bounces harmlessly across the De Gea box.
...
92' Carrick slips in Rashford with a hopeful punt... but Jan Vertonghen does well enough to force Rashford shoot wide
...
91' Eriksen is taken off to a standing ovation as Nkoudou comes on to help see this game out
...
90' FIVE MINUTES ADDED ON!
...
89' Martial tries to tie Walker in knots but the right back does superbly to ensure he came out of that tangle with the ball

...
88' United are giving it a right old go at the moment, but Spurs are holding on. For now.
...
87' Kane and Alli look to combine yet again but the latter's caught offside. Mourinho and Pochettino are smiling and muttering at each other - tells you everything about what's at stake here.
...
85' Rooney gifts the ball to Alli who proceeds to hurdle Bailly but can't get the nutmeg on against Carrick
...
83' WOW! JONES! Kane releases Alli with a sublime touch, and he curls the ball past from De Gea but Jones is on hand to head it away on the line. Boy that Alli kid can play
...
82' Trippier can't continue, and it's Kyle Walker who comes on in his stead.
...
81' Mkhitaryan tries to play in Rashford - but Vertonghen and Lloris do well to ensure the speedster doesn't pop the party air - yet.
...
78' Martial has been excellent since coming on and he outwits Trippier yet again - but the right back goes to ground and Jon Moss calls play back. Rashford, meanwhile comes on for Juan Mata. Mourinho is finally going for this
...
77' Kane outmuscles Jones but the defender recovers well enough to ensure it's just a corner...  which is easily cleared by former Spurs boy Carrick
...
76' Spurs don't look all that comfortable right now as both teams look to come to terms with the changing reality of the game. Eriksen tries to rubbish my analysis by catching De Gea out from a narrow angle, but it's wayward
...
74' Blind's freekick is utter tripe
...
73' Trippier wins a corner off Blind... but Eriksen's corner wafts aimlessly deep. United counter with the ever more impressive Martial - who gets held up Wanyama. The Kenyan goes into the book for that bit of gamesmanship
...
72' Moussa Dembele is on for Son Heung Min as Pochettino looks to wrest control of midfield
...
WOOF! Lovely goal that. Martial skips past Trippier with some sublime skill before he wafts a ball past Vertonghen to an onrushing Wayne Rooney who smashes it in with absolute certainty. Could United mount one of their famous WHL comebacks?
...
71' GOOOOOOOOAL! WAYNE ROONEY!
...
69'  Martial tries to find Mata with a ridiculously ambitious ball but Lloris plucks it out of the air with the ease of a man picking an apple from a particularly low hanging branch. United look much better now that they have actually put in some midfielders
...
67' The game's much livelier now but Tottenham still look much more comfortable in possession. They knock it around in the manner of a side that's 2-0 up as they try to pull United out of shape
...
65'  Eriksen tries to play in Kane but an excellent Smalling tackle sees to it that no harm comes of it. Mkhitaryan and Herrera lead another counter but this one meets its end with the Armenian sending it in to Mata - only for Vertonghen to head clear
...
63' Tottenham counter at pace but Mkhitaryan is on hand to ensure Alli's cross into the box doesn't reach Kane. The Armenian then instigates a United counter to the Spurs counter and that ends with Martial curling another lovely effor just wide off Lloris' far post. WOOF. Game on?
...
62' Blind's corner is cleared well but the Dutchman gets another opportunity to send one in - it's a teasing ball with the right foot, but there's simply no one in United red to take advantage
...
61' Blind sweeps in a lovely ball that Rooney just can't get ahold of. Davies takes no chances and bundles it out for a goalkick
...
60' United  look a touch livelier but it's not good enough for Jose. Tuanzebe is hooked for Herrera (some fight, finally) while Lingard is taken off for Mkhitaryan
...
58' Blind nudges Trippier in the back, unintentionally by the looks of it, and the right back wants a penalty, but Jon Moss waves play on.
...
57' Blind tries to play in Rooney route one style, but there is no way that the Englishman is outmuscling Toby Alderweireld in his current state
...
55' Eriksen swings in another sweet corner, but Wanyama's header booms into the stands
...
54'  Trippier nutmegs Blind in an attempt to run Son i behind the defence - but Jones is alert to the run. Son then has a free run at Jones but the hulking giant does well to concede only a corner. There is no midfield for United at the moment
...
52' Eric Bailly is supremely fast! He punts and runs past Davies in the Bale style but can't get enough space to cross the ball. Tottenham counter at pace and Son releases Kane into the middle - he cuts on to his left and tries to curl it in - but it whizzes past  de Gea's far post
...
51' United are being run haggard here and White Hart Lane is absolutely loving it. Tuanzebe does well to usher Kane out of danger. The Englishman has now scored against 24 of 25 teams he's faced in the PL; the only exceptions being Cardiff City
...
Oh my WOW! Eriksen whips in a simply unstoppable freekick that Harry Kane touches into the roof of the net... poor defending from Smalling, but excellent football from that deadly Eriksen-Kane duo
...
49' GOOOOOOOOOOOOOALL!! KAAAAAANE!
...
48' Smalling and Bailly bully Dele Alli off the ball, but the ref adjudges that the Ivorian tripped him and Eriksen stands over another promising looking setpiece
...
47' Blind's corner is flicked away for a throw-in. Would have been an excellent defensive header but for the fact that it was all done by Wayne Rooney
...
46' United have started brightly as Wayne Rooney and Daley Blind combine to win United a corner.
