FT: West Bromwich Albion 0-2 Manchester United
90+3' United are killing the game off with ease. Zlatan zips a ball to Rashford in the box, and his shot is blocked for a corner.
90' 4 minutes of added time.
89' Leko skips away from Darmian yet again (Where has his inner Maldini gone?), but sends in another poor cross that Marouane Fellaini clears with ease.
88' Olsson's poor pass results in a giveaway that Rashford pounces upon. The youngster takes a touch past Brunt, only for the Baggies defender to elbow him and clear him out, thus earning a yellow card that could have been a red.
86' Leko does brilliantly to get past Darmian, but his ball into the box is poor. The 17-year-old needs plenty of polishing, but the raw materials seem to be present.
84' Wayne Rooney takes his time to come off, as Sir Bobby Charlton breathes a sigh of relief. Marouane Fellaini replaces the United captain, and not a single boo emanates from the away end. What a difference a week makes, eh?
82' Hal Robson-Kanu comes on to replace Matt Phillips, Jonathan Leko comes on to replace Nacer Chadli.
81' It seems as though the West Brom crowd are resigned to their fate - there's precious little noise in the Hawthorns.
80' Ironic cheers from the Baggies crowd as Pogba unleashes a strike on goal from about 30 yards out, but his effort is well over the bar.
78' Manchester United attempt to play the ball around in midfield, but great endeavour from Yacob has West Brom regaining possession. They immediately lose the ball and Rashford charges forward in reply, only to be thwarted by Olsson.
77' Jesse Lingard is replaced by Marcus Rashford.
76' Phillips takes the free-kick and sends in a tempting ball, but United manage to scramble the ball clear. The ball is worked wide to Phillips yet again, but his cross this time around is poor.
75' Nyom is tripped by Darmian on the right wing and West Brom have a free kick in a promising position.
74' Craig Dawson goes off to be replaced by James Morrison, which should result in a bit of a shuffle - Brunt at left back, while Nyom plays right-back.
72' Brunt sends in a deep cross to the far post from the corner and McAuley heads the ball back across goal. There are appeals for a penalty as the ball appears to strike Pogba's arm, but it did not look deliberate and the referee waves play on. Tony Pulis is livid on the touchline, flailing his arms about in anger.
71' Dawson does well to earn a corner. Can West Brom find a way back?
70' CHANCE! Brunt decides that a bit of football will not go amiss. He sends in a superb cross from the left wing - Rondon leaps high above his marker at the near post, but the ball grazes off his head and falls to Phillips at the far post, whose shot on goal is blocked.
69' This is all getting a bit ugly now, as Phillips is the latest to concede a foul by shoving Darmian to the floor. Pogba and Yacob exchange a few words, in a language I expect to be the Queen's English. Maybe.
68' West Brom's best outlet has been set-pieces, but they are criminally offside when the delivery comes in from the right.
67' Nyom lifts a good ball into the box, but Pogba does well to twist his way out of defence. The Frenchman concedes possession and then proceeds to foul Dawson with a foolish barge into his back.
65' Play resumes after the players decide that they'd rather be adults about everything.
64' Rondon and Rojo battle it out on the touchline and the two get into a needless shoving match after the ball goes out of play. The players gather around the referee hoping to see some red cards brandished, but the man in the middle keeps his head to just book both players.
Replays do show that Rondon had a bit of a slap aimed at Rojo.
62' CLOSE! Rondon toe pokes a ball forward to Matt Phillips and just as the West Brom crowd anticipates a strike on goal, the linesman raises his falg for offside, thus breaking a thousand hearts in one cruel move of his arm.
60' The away end is in full voice as Manchester United pass the ball around with ease in the middle of the park. The life has been sucked out of the Baggies, whose players look rather deflated now.
57' Lingard goes into the book for a poor foul. Brunt takes the set piece from the right and finds McAuley, but his headed flick on is poor and goes out for a goal kick.
56' Superb stuff from the Super Swede! With no route to goal in sight, Zlatan's quick shimmy on the left edge of the box earns him a yard of space. He shoots a low volley at goal, which takes a cruel deflection off Gareth McAuley and nestles in the bottom corner, to double Man United's lead. West Brom 0-2 Manchester United.
56' GOAL ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC!
55' QUICK FREE KICK ALERT! Pogba displays his speed of thought with a quickly taken free-kick, trying to catch Ben Foster out in the West Brom goal, but he is alert and gathers the ball.
53' Rooney controls a long ball forward with a touch that could rival Mia Khalifa's best efforts. The Englishman is crowded out and decides to earn a cheap corner. West Brom are able to deal with the set-piece and play resumes.
51' Zlatan Ibrahimovic bullies all 1.95 metres of Jonas Olsson into taking a tumble on the ground before pouncing on the ball and charging towards goal, only for the referee to call the Battle of the Tall Swedes in the West Brom defender's favour.
50' Brunt is left all alone on the touchline as he is marshalled by Darmian. The Italian channels his inner Maldini to shepherd Brunt into conceding a goal kick, with none of his teammates coming to his aid.
49' Dawson goes into the book for a frustrated kick out at Ibrahimovic.
48' Rondon gets some 'choice treatment' from Jones as they battle for possession on the touchline. The striker wins the battle but then thrashes the ball towards his own goal back in anger. That's not how you 'channel' your anger mate.
47' Pogba concedes a free-kick with a foul on Rondon. Brunt's delivery is uncharacteristically poor, and the chance to trouble United goes away. Probably had his headphones on while Pulis blathered away at half time...
46' Much better right from the off from the Baggies as they press United into conceding possession right at the start. Tony Pulis' half time team talk seems to have worked.
46' PEEP PEEP PEEP! Manchester United get us underway in the second half, with the Red Devils kicking off from left to right!
The teams have made their way out onto the pitch - kickoff in the second half is moments away!
While Manchester United have dominated the first half, with the score still at 1-0 Jose Mourinho's nails continue to remain in danger. Will they be safe come the end of 90 minutes? Will Wayne Rooney finally catch up to Bobby Charlton? All that and more will be answered in the second half, which is coming up shortly!
The second half is minutes away - stay tuned!
