Sania Mirza/ Martina Hingis win Australian Open

Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis are the new Australian Open champions!

And they're now at deuce.. advantage Hingis! One winner away from the Australian Open title.

Not just yet... Hradecka and Hlavackova break! They're now down 3-5 to Hingis and Mirza, and are serving to stay in the championship.

Athleticism and a blitzing forehand winner from Martina Hingis across court puts a shot firmly out of the Czech pair's reach - 5-2 now with Mirza and Hingis successfully breaking! They'll now serve for the Australian Open title.

It won't be as fast as Hingis and Mirza would have liked, although they look on course for victory; they lead Hlavackova and Hradecka 4-2 after the Czech pair break them in the second set.

And they've held! After faltering in the first set, the top seeds have come back for a 3-1 lead.

Hlavackova's becoming a bit of target practice here.. after her teammate got her in the shoulder, it's now Mirza who nearly gets her in the head!

Some strong play from the Indo-Swiss pair, but their rivals have yet to commit an unforced errors, while the top seeds have already committed 4.

And they now capitalize on that break to lead 2-0 in the second!

The second set begins straightaway with a break of serve!

Could this be trouble for the Indo Swiss pair? Martina Hingis has taken a medical time out.

And after an hour-long first set, which saw eight breaks of serve, Mirza and Hingis FINALLY win the first set 7-6(7-1).

It isn't as smooth sailing for the top seeds as they'd have thought - with a THIRD break of serve, Hlavackova and Hradecka lead 4-3.

The top seeded pair have been displaying great coordination today to take some difficult points, Mirza getting the last one with a very quick winner.

And yet ANOTHER break back! Despite a number of unforced errors from the Indo-Swiss pair, they successfully break the Czech Olympic medallists to go 3-3.

And they break serve again! Hlavackova and Hradecka are now up 3-2.

And they break back! 2 games all.

Mirza and Hingis take a 30-0 lead.. but the pairs are now at deuce!

A controlled one-armed forehand from Hradecka loses Hingis the point... but she's still as prompt to the net as ever.

The Czech pair draw first blood! Hlavackova and Hradecka have broken Hingis and Mirza to take a 2-1 lead.
