New Zealand have to get Warner out early today otherwise the run machine will completely finish the visitors' chances to get back in the game.

The so-called 'World's Fastest Pitch' has offered nothing to the Kiwis bowlers till now. Warner has turned the Perth pitch into fastest in terms of batting. Usman Khawaja scored a prolific hundred before getting out. Captain Steven Smith joined Warner in the middle just before the close of play on day one. Australia will be hoping to post mammoth first innings total in front of the New Zealand team before they could declare.

David Warner showed no mercy on the Blackcaps bowlers on the opening day of the second Test as he completely dislodged every one of them to out of the park. He completed his first double century and now he's playing on the score of 244 not out. The opener is inching towards a bigger milestone but it's still long way to go.
