Niki Lauda speaks after Rosberg's win. "Annoyed with Bottas," he says, and he's convinced Bottas' shunt on Lewis Hamilton lost him the win.

Nico Rosberg wins the 16th title of his career - equalling the record of Sir Stirling Moss.

Nico Rosberg wins the Bahrain Grand Prix, with Kimi Raikkonen in P2 and Lewis Hamilton P3. It's a reversal of last year here, with Hamilton winning, Kimi in P2 and Rosberg in 3rd.

Final lap! It's almost time for a new Grand Prix winner and Nico Rosberg all but has this in the bag.

Verstappen has DRS enabled - and is up ahead of Felipe Massa now! He's in 6th with the Brazilian trying to catch up.

There's a 4 second gap between P1 Rosberg and Kimi in P2. With only 10 laps to go, it looks difficult for Ferrari to make up.

Nico Rosberg has pitted three times so far - and still manages to keep the lead. Impressive.

ROS RAI HAM reads the leaderboard at the moment. Max Verstappen is on mediums in P6 and should those ahead of him choose to pit, will be able to take a jump.

Massa is on mediums and has already clocked 21 laps on them. Hamilton, meanwhile, on supersofts - so he'll pit sooner.

A likely big issue, as observers say Vettel's car was "spitting molten metal."

Vettel's being interviewed now. "I don't know why, at this stage," he says, when asked what happened to his engine. "I'm here to support Kimi." They're not sure what's happened with his car, but the four-time champion is obviously, and understandably, frustrated.

Romain Grosjean takes the inside line on Daniel Ricciardo and moves up the grid! He's now in P4 and showing just why he was driver of the day in Australia. He described this as the 'best car I've ever driven,' so he's obviously happy.

DRS activated! But Grosjean is a bit too far behind Ricciardo to use it to overtake him.

And Max Verstappen pushes on the experienced Felipe Massa.. and he's done it! The talented youngster has shown a special talent for overtaking, and he's now up in 6th with Massa 1.065s behind.

Another good showing from Haas F1 today as Grosjean goes P6.

Raikkonen steals a march on Daniel Ricciardo - and it's easier for him with tyres 6 laps younger. We're finding out that Sergio Perez has bodywork damage.

Max Verstappen is on the softs - but the most impressive performance at the moment is from Stoffel Vandoorne who's stolen a march on Force India and is moving quickly up the grid in the absence of his teammate.

Drive-through penalty for Valtteri Bottas for the incident with Hamilton.

The Bottas-Hamilton incident is currently under investigation...and there's ANOTHER DNF! This one isn't particularly surprising as engine failures have become routine for McLaren. Jenson Button had a DNS here last year, and he will have a DNF this year.

And he pulls it off! Raikkonen makes a move on Daniel Ricciardo to go P4!

Damage casualties - Bottas and Ricciardo so far. They still lead Kimi Raikkonen at the moment though, but Raikkonen has been successful in Bahrain in the past.

Both Force Indias - of Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg pit early on.

Nico Rosberg leads teammate Hamilton, who has wing damage from a small bump with Valtteri Bottas of Williams.

Jolyon Palmer of Renault also has trouble. He goes into the pits straightaway, and now shows as retired.

LIGHTS OUT and there's already drama at the Sakhir circuit! Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari has a DNS with his engine smoking on the way to the grid. It's the first of Vettel's career.
