A thoroughly deserved result for both teams as a brilliant Bolivian outfit put a rubbish Argentine one to sword. All eyes now will turn to the other qualifiers as Argentina drop 3 invaluable points in what is becoming a quite incredible South American qualification campaign.

92' Argentina successfully manage to kill a minute by thumping the ball aimlessly forward. By Leo, they've been dire.

91' Bolivia successfully kill a minute by winning a foul and then passing it back to the keeper

90' Pratto hurls a ball deep into the box, but Campos does well to head clear. The ball breaks back into the six yard box where Pratto tries a ridiculous bicycle kick and connects with nothing but the thin air of La Paz

89' Argentina win a cheap corner with Rojo, but Acuna's delivery is well cleared by Zenteno. Banega sends it back in, but the Bolivians scramble it clear rather hastily

87' Roncaglia swings one in, Raldes clears, Di Maria tries to pick the defence with a ground-level pass, but Raldes is there again. Bolivia have been as good as Argentina have been poor. Which is very.

85' A poor, poor pass from Pizarro is easily intercepted by Moreno... before the brilliant Chumacero swivels around Caruzzo and hammers a shot well wide. The man is playing on pure adrenaline now - and implores the large crowd to make even more of a racket. They oblige immediately.

84' Substitution for Bolivia as Wayar comes off for Campos. A move to improve the attack-defence balance of the side... I suspect the Bolivian camp sniffs a third, and real humiliation for the visitors, here.

83' Aguero plays in Pratto, but Zenteno sticks to his man and does brilliantly to block the burly centre-forward's shot

82' OH WOW! Another sweeping Flores ball creates all sorts of havoc in the box, but Caruzzo just about prevents it from getting to Moreno - who was all set for a tap in. Escobar's resulting corner is utter rubbish.

81' Acuna tries to play in Di Maria, but the two liveliest men in albiceleste can't combine with each other and the ball rolls harmlessly into the arms of Lampe.

79' Acuna again comes up with a decent ball into the box, but this time Zenteno nips ahead of Pratto to comfortably head it away. Argentina don't seem to have it in them to step up through the gears. They need to find it, and find it fast, if they are to walk away from Estadio Hermano Stiles with something more than a bruised ego.

78' The lively Acuna pumps in a decent ball into the box, but an off-colour Aguero can't get any sort of decent connection with it.

75' Banega is giving it his all... but it's just not enough as Raldes and Zenteno comfortably see it out for a goal kick

74' OH LUCAS PRATTO! Oh Lucas Pratto. The man who is wearing Gonzalo Higuain's no. 9 peels away at the back post and comfortably wins a header that he proceeds to plant hopelessly wide. That should have been 1 back for Argentina!

73' Pratto tries to play in Aguero (rather inadvertently due to a poor first touch), but Lampe is alert to the threat and comes out to gather.

72' Bolivia ease the pressure as Arce wins a cheap freekick off Roncaglia. That's his last contribution to what has been an excellent performance as the more defensively minded Justiniano comes on in his stead.

70' WHAT AN EFFORT FROM ACUNA! The substitute traps a Banega ball with a brilliant first touch before curling a shot that looks destined for the far corner before Lampa gets his hands to it. Argentina look much more lively now, but is it all too little, too late?

69' Argentina make a substitution as Acuna comes on for Perez... Argentina are now passing the ball around rather well...

68' OWWWWWW!!! Di Maria whips in a superb ball that a sliding Lucas Pratto is mere inches away from prodding in. Easily the best move of the match for the visitors that...

67' UFFF!! Arce and Flores work their way around the left again and find themselves in acres of space. The wingback delivers a deep cross into the box that Rojo and Romero somehow manage to clear between themselves.

66" WOOOF! WHAT A MOVE!! Chumacero slipped in Escobar - who yet again had the number on Rojo. The winger then proceeded to square it into the box, where Arce pulled off a superb dummy that allowed Moreno a clean whack at it. Mussachio did exceptionally well to ensure he got his body in the way what would surely have been goal no. 3

65' Escobar's teasing delivery misses everyone and Romero catches it with ease. He proceeds to hurl it at Di Maria, who pulls out the kind of first touch you wouldn't expect even in a Sunday league match.

64' Rojo skips past Escobar, but runs into a crowd of green shirts. Argentina's pressing intensity has increased by leaps and bounds, but Bolivia are still finding it far too easy to pass it around them. Castro does well to win a freekick of a very frustrated Banega...

62' Aguero does well to hold off Flores and plays in Lucas Pratto. The latter does superbly to run at, and through Raldes and Zenteno, but can only shoot it straight at Lampe from an acute angle

61' The excellent Chumacero is caught in possession for once as Rojo finally comes up victor on his left flank. Meanwhile. Martins Moreno is on the ground and seems to be struggling with a leg strain. He is carrying on for now though - good to see that

60' Banega whips in a vicious ball, but Escobar does brilliantly well to smack it all the way upfield to Romero

59' Chumacero takes a chunk out of Rojo with a tough tackle, and then Raldes does the same of Di Maria. The latter's foul is at the edge of the box, and this could be Argentina's best chance to claw their way back in.

58' Aguero almost creates a flutter as he tries to play in Perez, but Flores gets a vital, sliding, touch to it. He then gives it away to Pizarro in a dangerous position, but the midfielder does nothing but pass it straight back to Zenteno

57' Chumacero tries to curl one onto Moreno's head, but Rojo gets enough of a block on it to let it trundle into Romero's palms

56' Substitution for Argentina as the anonymous Angel Correa is taken of for Sergio Aguero. Can the Kun bring Argentina back on track here in the Andes?

55' Argentina are on the ropes here, and the Condors of Bolivia can sense it as they close in for the kill. Bauza, meanwhile, finally sees the light of day and readies Sergio Aguero.

Wow! Castro followed up his excellent tackle with a sharp ball to Arce, who moved it onto Flores. The left wingback flew around Rocaglia before squaring it to Moreno who was ludicrously unmarked in the middle of the box. The marksman made no mistake with an absolute hammer of a shot into the top corner.

50' Brilliantly dogged work from Chumacero, who plays for the Strongest, almost catches United teammates Rojo and Romero out, but just as he runs on to the ball, it slips away from him and into touch.

47' Di Maria has an audacious effort from well on the left of the penalty box as he tries to catch Lampe napping. The Bolivian custodian does well to catch the effort.

46' The second half kicks off as a massive Bolivian flag that covers half of one entire stand is unfurled. It's majestic!!! Still no sign of Sergio "Kun" Aguero, by the bye. Argentina proceed to gift away possession with an ungainly hoick forward

The home side deservedly ahead as we go into the break, though Argentina will rue the sheer number of chances they've missed. They've done a decent impression of 1980's Wimbledon, just without that crucial finishing touch.

Bauza has a job in front of him motivating this lot for the second half... could someone go up to him and yell "THROW ON AGUERO. NOW" for me, though, please?

46' Argentina's stand-in captain Ever Banega proceeds to thrash it out aimlessly. Nice idea, poor, poor execution

45' Nothing comes from the corner. Di Maria does well to win a free-kick in a dangerous position though.

44' Flores tries to take on Roncaglia down the left, but the Argentine right back holds strong and recovers the ball. Arce then follows it up with a faintly idiotic push on Perez. From that freekick, they play it long to Andy Caroll, sorry, Angel Di Maria... and Argentina have a corner.

42' It's nearly 4 km above sea level, and the stress of playing in such rarified air is showing on the Argentine faces. The Bolivians, though, most based domestically, look so much the better side, it's not ever funny. Imagine Barcelona vs Leganes - with Bolivia as Barca - and you may just get the picture

40' A minute that both teams would like to forget - Arce loses possession with a heavy touch, before Correa plays a ball straight to Zenteno's feet. Ever Banega then goes into the book for an ugly, ugly, challenge from behind on Arce
