West Indies will find it hard to get back to their glory days in Tests: Chris Gayle
Talismanic opener Chris Gayle has said that it would be difficult for the men from the Caribbean to return back to the glory days in Test cricket, adding that the players in the present setup lack the concentration and consistency needed to excel in the format.
“The structure of modern day cricket is such that it will be difficult to regain those days of glory because of the advent of the shorter format and the interest that it has generated among the youngsters. In longer formats, you need to concentrate more and have that game discipline in order to achieve consistency.
“It will be difficult for West Indies to go back where they were in Test cricket,” Gayle said.
