India colts hammer England to seal series

Riding on the twin tons of Shubman Gill and Prithvi Shaw, the India U-19 team beat England U-19 by a mammoth 231 runs to take a 3-1 lead in the series.Opening for India, Gill found company in Shaw after the departure of his opening partner, Himanshu Rana. Apart from the top-3 however, none of the batsman clicked, which led to the total tailing off to under 400 after a strong start.

The English team got off to a terrible start, losing their top three batsmen for just 16 runs. Was it not for Ollie Pope’s dodgy half century, the English total wouldn’t have gone past even 150.For India, Kamlesh Nagarkoti was the pick of the bowlers, snaring four wickets, and was well supported by Vivekananda Tiwari, who picked up three. This is the second highest total by an India-A side in the 50-overs format.

BCCI staff sacked by Supreme Court administrators

The Indian cricket board staff which was appointed by ex-President Anurag Thakur have been sacked by the Supreme Court administrators.
This news came in a few weeks after Anurag Thakur himself was sacked from his post for not implementing the reforms set by the Lodha committee.

Thakur was also issued charges of perjury after he reportedly lied under oath during the Supreme Court hearing.

"The staff in both these offices had nothing to do. Hence we decided to end their services," said Vinod Rai to India Today. Rai is the head of the Committee of Administrators.

Meanwhile, Nishant Arora who was the media manager of the Indian cricket team resigned as well. He was accused of leaking information to Anurag Thakur a few days ago.
